    Location is great due to the beach being across the street and the price is fair. Employees are respectful, professional, and friendly. However, I did not see anyone wearing masks, only one employee who brought out the breakfast. Also, food is noticeably cooked by inexperienced and/or untrained personnel. The bathrooms by the pool are rarely cleaned. Pipe in bathroom was leaking, paper dispenser in bathroom was empty, AC rattled, blanket on bed appeared dirty (maybe just old but cleaned). Overall, the place needs some serious remodeling. A rating of 2 is probably more fitting, but the employees' made the stay bearable. They are an amazing crew.

    we have been staying in this hotel for years, however stop staying 2 yrs ago due to the conditions of the executive suite no water, no ac ext…on July 28-30 2023 we decided to stay here again because we brought some friends for the first time and wanted them to stay my the beach. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!! we reserve 3 Rooms, 2 were executive suites, the non executive smelled awful, hair, dirty, no water no towels, the 2 “EXECUTIVES” had no water, had no towels, faucet was broken, shower would clogged when you take a shower and water will spill into the bathroom floor into the bedroom and that’s not the worse part! we complain, requested towels, and every day we would have to go all the way down from the 3 floor to complain about not having water and they took their time to turn the water on, never brought the towel we had to continuously ask for them. When we complaint to management they really didn’t care. Management acts like our money is not worth anything, needless to say i was embarrassed with our friends they left a day early, last time staying here SIMPLEMENTE NO LE RECOMIENDO QUEDARSE AQUI, sucio, no hay agua amenos no la pidas, sucio, no te ponen toballas, el lavamano roto, la duchas se sucia y tapada, y todo esto en 2 habitaciones executives y una recular que apestaba pedimos q la limpiaran y no lo hicieron… mala experiencia

    I was at this hotel on july 21st, arrived at 1:00pm they said room be ready at 2:00 pm It wasnt ready till 3:35pm, I had the mini suite 301, saw a roach at the AC also in the bathroom found dirty soap with hair on it, during the night I try to take a Shower and surprise NO Water at all till next day,Wife and I left without taking a Bath etc and cut my 2 days stay short...Unbelievable

    We’ve only eaten at the restaurant so review is only for that part: Great location and spacious, reasonable priced and actually not bad food. However, with current situation about the virus and cleaning the place - they should’ve done much better work. There was only one more group aside of ours at the restaurant (they were drinking mostly, no food, from what we saw) but dining area had trash everywhere, empty plastic bottles on the floor. Service could be a bit quicker too though. Not the perfect place but I’d probably go back there for drinks again.

    I had a fantastic stay at Marina del Mar Hotel! The rooms were incredibly comfortable, equipped with cold air conditioning, and impeccably clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable. The on-site restaurant offered a variety of great options, and the delicious breakfast added a delightful touch to my mornings. The proximity to a small beach right in front of the hotel in a safe area was the perfect cherry on top. Highly recommend!

    Food and drinks are fantastic, but they don't take care of their swamp, which causes mosquitoes to ruin your trip. Even the rooms have mosquitos, no hot water. The morning receptionist is rude, but the night one is an incredible person; she helped with our taxi.

    Four friends and I Stopped to get some food at the restaurant. We ordered 2 chivo(goat) meals, one order of chuletas, one order of octopus and an order of Bistec(steak) meal. Took about 1 hr to get food out. Due to the covid-19 situation, we were understanding and had about 5 presidentes while waiting. Only complaint was that one of the orders of chivo was all bones and no meat. While other chivo plate was filled with chivo meat and couple bones. Mentioned it to waitress and she said she could not do much. So went and spoke to a woman and man that were supposed to be management. I expressed that I was not paying for the chivo bones. They kept telling the waitress to take care of it. I asked them that normally management resolves these types of problems. This is experience from owning a few restaurants. They offered to give us a discount of 2 beers in exchange. The food is good, but make sure you get what you order. Cuatro amigos y yo nos fuimos a comer algo en el restaurante. Pedimos 2 comidas de chivo, una orden de chuletas, una orden de pulpo y una orden de comida Bistec (bistec). Tardó aproximadamente 1 hora en sacar la comida. Debido a la situación del covid-19, nos entendimos y nos tomamos alrededor de 5 presidentes mientras esperábamos. La única queja fue que una de las órdenes de chivo era todo huesos y nada de carne. Mientras que el otro plato de chivo estaba lleno de carne de chivo y un par de huesos. Se lo mencionó a la camarera y ella dijo que no podía hacer mucho. Así que fue y habló con una mujer y un hombre que se suponía que serían la gerencia. Expresé que no estaba pagando por los huesos de chivo. Seguían diciéndole a la camarera que se ocupara de ello. Les pregunté que normalmente la gerencia resuelve este tipo de problemas. Esto es por la experiencia de tener algunos restaurantes. Se ofrecieron a darnos un descuento de 2 cervezas a cambio. La comida es buena, pero asegúrate de conseguir lo que pides.

    Raw pancakes. Syrup with mold. Bed sheets were dirty. Horrible bathrooms. Doors are not safe. WILL NEVER RETURN!! some of the staff are humble but unfortunately the sanitation department should check this place out

    We were the only table eating at the time we went, it was around 7pm mid-week. This was our first visit here this trip to MC, we have come many times before. We know the owner for many years. The food took long, so we played a game of mini-jenga I had with me. With no regard and no apology the waiter knocked over the tower when he finally brought the food. Sadly the food was terrible!!! My sister got ill from the fish, my chicken sandwich was not edible- it had clearly been microwaved too hot and the diced chicken(used to be a filet) was old and crunchy. When we spoke to the waiter - he said nothing but- sorry you don't like it. Prices are now - very high.... Sorry not going back, Petra.

    We spent 3 nights there and honestly speaking a lot of things can and should be improved. The music next doors was way too loud. One night we were not able to sleep because the neighbors or someone in the neighborhood played the music until 2am. The breakfast was mostly cold all the days. The service staff was very friendly but disorganized (once we ordered drinks at the pool and after 1 hour they were still not served). The service is very very slow in general which is a pity. The bed sheet had holes and dirt on it & the door did not function properly. The TVs did not work because of a bad internet connection. All in all the experience was very poor & there is a lot of stuff which needs to be fixed :(
