I had a first class pod in a 2 pod room while I was in town for a concert. The bed was comfy, the sitting/eating room was pretty small and the bathroom without a shower was tiny to point I had to squeeze past the door to shut it. My biggest complaint though is that the bed didn't have a blanket, when I went to front and mentioned it they said I had to pay for one if I wanted one, otherwise I just had a flimsy sheet, seems a bit stingy to me. I always wasn't to impressed that at about 10am (I had a 12pm checkout) someone was trying to get into my pod, no knock or anything just forcefully trying to enter so it's a good thing I had it locked still, especially when they tried again about 10 min later. When I checked out and advised with my noted concerns they brushed it off as 'oh they're new and just learning' I mentioned how I was alone and getting dressed and it seemed very forceful and got the same reply. Definitely concerning and likely won't be back.

The best stay in San Fran. The location is perfect, the staff are so friendly and helpful, the place is stocked with all kind of amenities; tea, hot/cold water, eye masks, ear plugs. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, and definitely one of the more affordable places to stay in the area. Highly recommend!!

Descent location, close to public transportation to get to the city center (about 15-30 mins away depending on where you are going). The rooms were spacious but would benefit from a bench or a couple of chairs in the room. Beds/pillows are decent, you get what you pay for. Staff was friendly. At first glance the rooms are clean. They stock with earplugs, sanitizer, masks, and eye masks which is nice. Also tea is available as well as a phone booth to make private calls in the lounge/kitchen area. More critical on the following: was here on holiday weekend and they decided to paint the hallways and the fumes were running throughout-this should have been done midweek and off season IMHO. At night it got chilly and no way to have climate control. Check-in was at 4pm which is later than everywhere I've stayed and there are no exceptions since they use a system that you can only get access to with a code. By day 3, paper towels, toilet paper were out and no one was restocking, cleaning or emptying the rubbish. Needless to say it was starting to feel grimy. I feel like this place has so much potential and could benefit from a few modifications. As far as hostels are concerned this is on the more expensive side.

Can't tell you how much I appreciate a place like this. It is right in a sweet spot between being a hostel and a hotel. The key takeaways would be cleanliness, the ability to have a good nights rest, and location for me. The staff is kind and explains how to navigate the sleep station, which makes you feel welcomed. If you ask for recommendations, they will happily tell you their favorite spots and areas to stay away from. They also have a highlight list to discover the neighborhood you are in. The location is in the safe Pacific Heights neighborhood by parks, close to Fillmore, Polk street neighbors where you can eat, explore or work at a cute cafe. There are multiple grocery stores nearby like Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Japanese and Korean Markets. Added bonus: Major concert event halls just blocks away. I love the sleep stations 3 door entrance which leads you directly to the floor you are staying on. There is no elevator, except the ADA elevator which is not for everyone. This being said, keep that in mind when packing or gain a few muscles from going up and down the stairs during your trip. If you want to get around-transportation is easy. I took an Uber from the airport (about $30 each way) and then took the bus, Bart and cable car around the city after downloading the Clipper App. You can buy cards at the pharmacy too. The bus looks as if it will take wallet pay on your phone, but the ferry and cable car do not. If you reside state side, you can also do transportation apps like Revel and cruise SF on a moped. Thanks Nap York!

Nap York is by far the best hostel in San Francisco. They have really gone into detail into giving their guests the best stays. I love the lay-out of the bunk beds and the privacy they provide each guest. I was in a female dormitory and could barely hear some of my room mates at all. I couldn’t even notice when they had their lamps on because the curtains covering each bunk bed creates the privacy that makes one feel like they are in a private room. The lounge area is very cost and I loved spending time there and looking out the window. I totally love the phone pods because they allowed me to have calls without disturbing other guests. Somehow even outside the pods; all the guests I bumped into were super friendly and kept their voices very low when talking. Things I noticed that make me give the place a total 10/10: 1. They have a whole floor for females only; which is a first because I always worry about my safety when staying at different hostels around the world. 2. They have hand sanitizers at almost every corner; which is cool because I’m a hygiene freak đŸ«Ł. 3. They have nose masks, ear plugs & eye masks available for take - an extra care from the place. 4. They have air fresheners in all the rooms even toilets which keep the place smelling fresh at all times. 5. The restrooms & showers are always kept clean. 6. The lounge areas are so beautiful and each for has a different lounge design. 7. The front desk people are angels đŸ‘Œ very warm and welcoming. 8. I’m glad there are no stoves for cooking because I’ve been at hostels where guests can cook and the smell of some of the food can be awful. 9. The place is located in the quiet and peaceful area of San Francisco; where the area outside is clean, and no sign of danger at all. 10. The place is just a few blocks from the famous Filmore street; that is filled with different restaurants where one can grab a bite & definitely enjoy some ice-cream from Salt & Straws. Whole Foods is also a 5min walk from the place, so it’s easy to pack light and buy all the essentials there. This place is very cool and I hope it keeps its class for a long time because tourists visiting San Francisco deserve such a warm and tranquil place like this, to make their visit to San Francisco memorable (all good memories)

Stayed here on a weekend trip as a solo traveler. Check in and out was super easy, by far one of the easiest hostel stays I’ve had. The doors have digital codes which is nice so you don’t have to carry a key, though definitely make sure to have your phone charged if you’re like me and have a hard time remembering number sequences. Showers and restrooms were nice as well. They do provide towels which was a nice feature. Overall great experience, I’d stay here again.

Unfortunately I was not able to stay at this location due to United Airlines cancelling my trip out to this location twice. On the bright side, the front desk staffer Leo, and the online reservation team were a dream to work with. Leo was extremely professional and courteous. Well passed the reservation cancellation period for a full refund, I contacted the front desk and the Reservation team via email in regards to getting a full refund with the hopes that they'd sympathize with the woes of United cancelling a Fourth of July vacation. By the time I reached out to them, I was not liable for any sort of reimbursement. They were able to offer me a 50% refund on my reservation. With the plain facts that I should not have gotten any sort of reimbursement, I am grateful that they were able to reimburse a partial amount. Thanks Nap York.

I booked the first class pod for one night and as a solo traveler it's possibly the best deal you can get in the city for an almost-private room. The pod was clean and well equipped with lighting, and they even provide complementary ear plugs, masks and eye masks. The location was stellar with public transit close by and a 10-minute walk to Japantown; it also felt surprisingly safe at night for SF (practice usual caution of course). Will definitely stay again.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a positive experience. The location is simply amazing, with easy access to various attractions and transportation options. It's perfect for exploring the city! The front desk staff was friendly and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or recommendations I needed. Their warm and welcoming attitude made me feel right at home. The hostel itself is nice and offers a budget-friendly accommodation option. I stayed in a shared room, which was clean and adequately equipped. However, I must mention that the snoring from my roommates was quite bothersome. Unfortunately, it made it nearly impossible for me to get a good night's sleep. If I were to stay here again, I would definitely opt for a private room to avoid such disturbances. Nonetheless, I appreciated the affordability of this place, considering the prime location. It's an excellent choice if you're on a tight budget and need a place to crash at the last minute or take a quick nap during the day. In summary, this hotel offers a fantastic location, a friendly and helpful staff, and affordable rates. Just be mindful of the shared rooms if you're a light sleeper.

Great location in city center, tourist attractions, shopping and restaurants close by. Comfortable beds, spacious and modern capsule rooms, not claustrophobic. Great for travelers needing basic accommodation and amenities.
