Best lamb sausage I've ever had - holy moly. It was very flavorful and perfectly cooked. I got the plate, which came with a generous hunk of baguette. Can't wait to come back and try the other meats they have (and I believe they're all homemade). Also, they have coffee! Super excited to have another place to get coffee in this neighborhood. Cafe Gourmand has drip and espresso drinks as well as a good selection of non-dairy milks for unfortunate people like me who are lactose intolerant. Cheap prices, especially compared to some of the competition. There are cute bar/window seats and a few seats outside if you want to watch the TL go by as you eat/drink.

Amazing Mediterranean and Tunisian food, I had the Shakshuka Mergues which is lamb sausage with Eggs, tomatoes m, onions and peppers served with baked Baguette. Awesome. They also have rotisserie chicken that is not on the menu and make couscous on Sundays

Got the merguez sandwich. Harissa was good, merguez flavorful. Sandwich was pretty big, half an entire baguette sliced in half and filled. Excellent portion size to pricing. Only the one person behind the counter (owner?) when I went in, who was very friendly and running everything (answering phone, making sandwiches, cooking on burner, cashier, etc.). Happy there's something good to support in the old Shakedown spot.

Food here is made with utmost care. Owners and staff are super friendly. Can’t believe they make their own bread, roasts, sausages.. all of it is good! I will be a regular!

This is my new place to go when I'm in sf downtown. This is a deli with a Tunisian touch. That's the only deli with those flavors you'll find in the bay area. There is some sandwich that you'll found only in this store. Like kafteji (vegetarian food) sandwich or plate and homemade mergez (lamb sausage) sandwich or plate ... (Tunisian speciality) The products are fresh with Tunisian spices. This is one of the few deli where you can have french baguette for your sandwich which is very hard to find in the bay area. This is a new place, just give it a try if you want some new food flavors in your mouth with decent prices, it's worth it.

I stopped in omw home from the post office...I was craving a pastry but the savory smell was too enticing to ignore. Once the fellow at the counter (I'm thinking proprietor) told me that they bake their bread fresh daily, I was sold. I asked for a recommendation, (which, in spite of his best efforts and cheerful patience as I tried - first to pronounce - and then memorize the name of the dish, completely eludes me now) but it was their specialty; a hot sandwich on warm soft flatbread with a mysterious selection of melted cheese, lamb sausage (I think!) and an egg omelet. I had every intention of taking a photo, but it smelled so wonderful that I forgot until, well, the picture below shows what was left. It was different, delicious and I will definitely be back!
