Walk-in only with no take out or reservations. We arrived at 5:30 and waited for less than 10 min for a table for 2. Ordering and payment is all vis QR code and phone. The food was delivered quickly and at a perfect temperature. Delicious and creamy broths with a rotating selection of ramen. One of our fav ramen spots in the Bay Area.

Mensho Tokyo on Geary is always a favorite! Even with the looong line I still would give it 5 stars! Suggest to come earlier around opening to about 6:30 pm so the wait won’t take as long. Their broth is always flavorful and just the right thickness. The fresh ramen noodles are chewy and carries added broth as you slurp on them.

Really good experience eating here, soup was really creamy and rich. The selection of ramen is a bit different, would not say it entirely traditional, but a new take on it. The sides were unique and added depth to the ramen experience. Service upon ordering was really quick. Some down sides is that the wait time can be very long, up to 90 mins pending on the group size. It's not a large place, which can feel claustrophobic for some. Price is a tad on the high end for ramen, but well worth it. A definite try for ramen geeks and newbies looking for a yummy meal.

Best ramen in SF, but be prepared for a 1-2 hour wait outside! My friends and I (group of 3) were craving Mensho on a Friday night and joined the already quite long line around 6:30 pm. We ended up waiting for around 1.5 hours before entering. Save for the long line, the restaurant looks very much like a hole-in the wall with a small space fitting only 4 hightop tables, each can only seat 4ish persons at a time. We were feeling adventurous and ordered A5 Wagyu Nigiri, Spicy Enoki Chips, Matcha Tori Paitan, G.K.O (Garlic Knockout) ramen, and Blaze ramen (Spicy Tori Paitan with sichuanese peppercorn). The Wagyu Nigiri melts in the mouth, and the spicy enoki chips don't disappoint with it's crunchy umaminess. Ramen wise, my favorite has to be the Matcha Tori Paitan with its seamless infusion if matcha with original smooth and creaminess of Tori Paitan soup, the umami of enoki strips, and perfect chewiness of ramen noodles. My friends had GKO and Blaze ramen and had a good time too. Will worth the wait and will definitely come back again!

Very unique flavours! Other reviewers have mentioned this as well: expect to wait, there will be quite the line! Good thing is they serve you quick and limit your time to 1 hour, so the line moves quite smoothly. Got the spicy lamb ramen and it was full of lamb flavour. The broth was super creamy but not overwhelmingly rich or oily. Definitely worth the wait to try some distinctive ramen.

Flavorful, fragrant, rich noodles. Plenty of ramen options - in hot broth or dry-stirred. Like the presentation and separation of ingredients so can choose how much of each when blending. Fast service. Order to pay via a QR code, simple integration with phone payment. Love the fact that no app download is required. Interesting sides, mostly grilled or deep fried. Tips: there is always a queue. Wait for high tables, as the dining bench facing the open kitchen window is quite tight and not for the big nor claustrophobic guests.

Arrived about 6:30 pm and waited about 15 minutes to be seated. The line was much longer when we left. Very small and close quarters, but the food was excellent. I had the Toripaitan. The food arrived very quickly after I ordered. It was very comforting. The broth was very flavorful. I hope to come back someday. No reservations available, so go early to avoid the rush.

I've had ramen before but this is different! The broth is rich and creamy. Super creamy and bold flavors. I can't get over how unique the flavors are. The portion size is pretty big, very filling. The presentation of the food is very nice. I got the G.K.O. and it's spicy.

One of my favorite Ramen chains. As a devourer of garlic, I found the Garlic Knock Out to be actually enough garlic for me. Corn wings were a nice side dish. Limited seating, so get there early on weekends.

Probably best ramen I’ve had in a long time. The queue is absolutely worth it. But it’ll take you 40-50min to get a table, and you have to queue outside. So bring a drink and your best spirits :) the broth was so flavoursome and the noodles were absolutely incredible… It’s my goto ramen place in SF.

Ramen, that is worth the wait. We got the G.K.O. extra spicy, and it was just the right amount of spice. The pieces of garlic gave the ramen that special taste. The 40-minute wait was well worth it. We will.come back again.

Small restaurant with great service and amazing Ramen. The staff is very accommodating and went out of their way to seat our group of 11. The Ramen, vegan and signature were delicious.

overall pretty satisfying! best to show up at opening as a line can build up quick, especially on weekends. was not a fan of the spicy lamb miso— the flavors did not mesh and the broth was incredibly frothy and too thick. tori paitan was pretty good. corn wings were amazing 10/10. not a fan of the enoki chips— crispy and oily with no flavor depth. i would come back, but likely not go out of my way to eat here.

Was quite crowded even near to closing time. Ramen was decent but the corn ribs and fried chicken were too salty. Small restaurant but people do moving in and out quickly so the wait for a table wasn’t too long. Worth a try if it’s not too crowded but otherwise there are many other food choices around.

Seriously no idea as to why this place is so overhyped. Ordered the Vegan Tantanmen. Ramen was below average. The noodles tastes good as is, but the broth isn’t tasty. The only good thing about the ramen is the “smoked nuts” that they added. I’d give them a 2/5 for the food, at best. Service: My goodness! Our waitress was super rude. Communication was very hard as they barely spoke any English. We had requested for mushrooms to be replaced by something else, and she made a big deal for the request. I had asked for 2 forks, and waited so long that the ramen became cold by the time they brought the forks… Atmosphere: Really tiny space. The wait times are insanely huge. Price: They charge $24 for a vegan ramen — totally not worth the money you pay. And hey, the icing on the cake: They charge $1 for hot water. Yes, you read that right :)

Food was amazing!! The area Mensho is located in is not the best just a heads up since there is a line you have to wait in. It took about 40 minutes for us to get seated. The Vegan Tantanmen was a heavy favorite of mine, loved the creaminess and all crunch of various items instead. The vegan GKO definitely was more spicy but also was very good!! Due to the spiciness though, it was harder to munch down still great though. The seasoning on the corn ribs was AMAZING. Would go back just for those haha

Located near downtown, a bit sketchy when waking from my hotel there but it’s worth it: Foods are hot and quick. Place is cozy and perfect for quick date and above all, it’s actually a bank for the buck (if you keep the spending low). - If you want a table with little wait time, arrive 10’ early or right at the moment it opens. - Pretty intuitive system with scan to order and pay, so it’s a seamless experience but a bit fast paced. It’s a great way to end a day if you get out of 4:30 , and looking for a quick meal to go back and keep working. Would recommend: Corn - grilled Shredded Chips Should try: Ramen - next time
