Joy and Erick create a sanctuary for everybody at Purusha. It doesn't matter your background, physicality, experience, body limitations or where you are in your path, here you can feel safe, encouraged, supported, accepted for who you are, and always welcomed. You can find a vigorous and challenging Vinyasa class, go deeper in the yoga sutras in their Hatha/Raja classes, have an amazing restorative session, or find the type of class that's just right for you... right now. Their workshops and trainings are also fantastic and well rounded. This studio is the best!

Lovely studio, friendly people, great classes... what's not to love!? The vibe is so welcoming that anyone will feel at home. There's plenty of parking and lots of yummy food in the neighborhood for anyone who needs a little treat after class! I also appreciate that I am supporting a business dedicated to making yoga accessible for everyone. Purusha is the best, and I am so glad that they are back!

A total pleasure to be lead and guided by Eric. I was challenged, supported, welcomed, adjusted, encouraged… all the things. He is a gifted and inspiring teacher. His classes are very healing to the heart mind body and soul. And he’s funny! Yay!

I have been practising yoga at Purusha for the past 6 months, during when my mental and physical health have vastly improved. All the instructors are incredible and, more importantly, very kind human beings. They are patient, attentive to injuries, and always take consent of whether we’d like them to provide assistance to us, which I really appreciate. A place full of positive vibes only.

I went through 200H yoga teacher training in the beginning of 2023 and I couldn't ask for more. Joy and Eric showed me how to practice not just in the studio but in a larger sense in life. If you want a yoga journey instead of just a certificate, this is the place to go. Love the community, the cohort, various teachers, this loving safe place that allows me to explore myself and practice the art of strengthening and letting go.

Purusha is the studio that doesn’t just offer you a mindful stretch but gives you a place to really devote to your practice whether it’s through chanting breath work or community it’s all here i love the variety of classes and how well informed the teachers are to modify for you if needed ❤️

I enjoyed my first outdoor yoga. Looking up through the trees was especially rewarding. As a novice i found the instructions clear and easy to follow. A good experience.

What a sweet little yoga studio, on one of my favorite blocks in SF! I love that after class there was tea. Also excited to do a 4:15 yoga and dinner next door at the Laundromat sometime! Loved the vibes and the instructor was so kind. Thanks!!!

I've never done guided meditation before and it was such an amazing experience that I booked all the remaining Mondays and Wednesdays with Joaquin before moving to Texas. Namaste!

Good class, but the reason for only 3 stars is because the sound for online class is garbled. It is fine when you're close to the computer but soon as you move away it is very hard to understand. If you could somehow fix that problem i would do more classes with you. 🤔🙂
