Looking to satisfy my late-night craving, I found myself debating between heading Downtown for some takeout or rummaging through my stocked fridge. Ultimately, I opted for the latter and made my way home via the Mission. Parking was a breeze at this hour, but be warned that double parking is a big no-no in the area as the police are vigilant and will ticket you. The line at the restaurant was short, and I was promptly attended to. Having perused some reviews beforehand, I settled on the Regular Beef Plate. As they're usually swamped during weekends, everything on the plate was fresh. It comprised delicately seasoned rice, crisp lettuce, succulent tomato, a generous helping of tender beef, as well as onions, olives, pita, and a delectable Barbecue Sauce that made the dish for me. It was a satisfying and flavorful meal that didn't feel too heavy or greasy, thanks to the addition of vegetables. I'll definitely be back for more. A word of advice for those considering delivery - I've noticed many complaints in that regard, so if possible, make the trip to the store to ensure you get the plate you truly desire.

Great halal food place. They have options of platter and sandwiches in chicken, vege, beef and in combos. You have an option to select between sauces like white sauce, mayonnaise and chilli sauce

I had the pleasure of discovering an incredible halal restaurant situated in the bustling downtown area. The service was excellent, and what impressed me was the option to have sauces served separately, allowing me to customize my meal to my liking. Personally, I found the white sauce to be exceptionally delicious. The platters and sandwiches were both of high quality, showcasing fresh ingredients and flavors. I opted for the regular platters, which came to a total cost of approximately $20. I decided to order my meal for takeout and enjoyed it in the dining room of my hotel, which was conveniently located not far from the restaurant, the HI San Francisco Downtown Hostel. Strongly Recommend!

I love love love the halal guys and am a regular of their street stands in NY. This store is worst representation of that I have encountered. They don’t make your online orders until you show up, and still somehow the food is ice cold. The employees are rude, have sloppy sandwich assembly, and seem annoyed that customers exist.

I love hala guys but not happy at all with the hala guys in SF. They give you so little meat and it cost more. The amount of meat they give you doesnt even cover the top as you can see in the picture. You can count how many pieces of meat they put on there. Meat were so dry. Even the white sauce couldnt save it.

Amazing halal place in middle of downtown. The service was great. You can have sauces separately and add them as per your liking. The platters and sandwiches both were good and fresh. The bathroom was also very clean and maintained.

Just ordered a wrap and a bowl. Both came without the sauce. Very disappointed. Chicken has a weird smell. Was hoping the sauce could make it better but none on the side as well. Should be one star, giving 2 cause i are half the wrap.

First time I had this was in NYC and it was a flavor bomb. The food at this outlet does not seem to be of the same standard. The meat portion can be larger. Warning the red sauce is very spicy, avoid if you can’t take the heat. Overall ok but I do not think I will be back again.

If you liked OG food truck, you would hate this location. The worst part? 4 people working there were so "efficient" that they made 10 bowls in about 25 minutes... Fun watching them bumping into each other, mixing wrong ingredients and not having a great time. Maybe 1 star is a bit harsh. But I think it could be justified when the one thing you expect from a brand, consistency, is broken. I don't go to Starbucks because they have the best coffee...

WORST customer service, ever! Was informed my pickup order was ready and when I showed TWO separate workers my CONFIRMED pickup receipt on my phone, they both told me that they never received the order. The order was placed and confirmed over 25 minutes ago! This place is absolute trash! Poor customer service, poor quality of the food compared to ANY other locations, especially NYC’s and terrible with running a business. I will be contacting ring the executive office for this one!

Open until 12am .. great ! Ambience - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ Quality - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quantity- ⭐️⭐️⭐️ $$ . $14.65 for a beef gyro wrap. Beef was bit salty, but still reasonable. The pita bread was not warm, that actually spoiled the whole experience. Even though the meat is kept in the warmer bath. It’s not hot. The portion size at this franchise is good, or probably I was the last customer.

The food is tasty and has many toppings, the restaurant is clean but needs more lighting. Restaurant toilet with access code ask the cashier for it

If you're genuinely really in to your food, I do not recommend this place. The taste was bland, the naan bread given was ice cold! If you know a good shawarma you'd expect toppings like hummus but I was charged extra $4 for a dollop. They don't fall short on supplies of extra sauce but that should not be the deciding factor in making your food tasty! The fries were not bad if you're looking for a quick snack.

Great place for quick but healthy food late at night. Convenient to my hotel only a block away. Suggested by the front desk. Definitely not disappointed. Great tasty fresh food in a generous portion. Counter service with seating.

You won't be let down if you are aware of who they are! I really enjoyed the mixed gyro platter; it was great. Despite being crowded, the location is clean and pleasant. Very friendly staff; I'll be returning soon.

If your from England, UK this is what we call a doner kebab. The meat is great, portions were good, we usually have kebab and fries. This comes with rice but you can order fries on the side. Quick to get service. If you are craving that late night drunken kebab this is the place for you.

Food is great and the staff is fabulous. I stopped in just to check and they lulled me in with kindness. Loved the chicken over rice. Nice salad with tomato 🍅 and bread 🫓 White sauce dresses it up nice and the hot 🔥🔥🔥 sauce gives a nice slap to your mouth. Ya👍

Opened late at night for all those fans of the Halal Guys, or just need to find some food when nothing else is conveniently open. The menu is simple, and this fast food option is better than others. The staff is quick to assemble your order and the portions are good sized for a good appetite. Still, not the same as their original NYC cart, but a familiar choice.

I been here and other locations around the Bay Area but tonight I ordered the limited time only shawarma chicken. The store manager gave my regular size platter very little meat. I never had that problem before so I ask her for more meat cause the meat she put on my platter was not enough. But she decline she said that the portion she put on my platter was correct.

Brightly lit area, one and only store opened at late hours. Warm and welcoming, good service attitude. Able to choose the level of spiciness and white sauce on your rice. On top of which additional packet of hot sauce and white sauce is given to me. Taste delicious as usual, good reasonable portion. Will come back again 👍🏻

Delicious. I've tried this in New York twice before and it never disappoints. First time in SF. We got regular beef plate. Tasty food. Price is reasonable. Staff was nice. Service was fast.

Came to sf on a work trip. I was happy to see halal guys next to my hotel. I asked for a small plate. 3/4 of the plate was added with lettuce and tomatos.. With one scoop of rice and chicken each. Very disappointed to see such tactics to make the plate look full. The shocker was at the end when the bill came out to be $16. Food was just flat bland. Not worth the price and how it used to be

Food was okay. I've had it in NYC and it's just more flavorful there. The biggest problem was the service. I was asked the same question 3 times by two employees in less than 30 seconds. I told the cashier to just ring me up after he kept asking me more ad more questions about sides, drinks, or add ons. I get the need to ask about making something a combo, but after I've declined, I don't like being asked 3 more times.

Solid spot for a gyro or gyro plate. The food tastes fresh and it was quick to get my food. The portions are not proportionate meat to other ingredients compare to other places I’ve had before, but I was pleased with my food and the staff was super friendly. That goes a long way. I would recommend this place!

This is my really really favorite place. The value that you pay for the food is awesome. Also the food quality is perfect! They have all the toppings includes the prize like vegan tahini as well as black olives bell peppers fresh onions and everything. I like the chicken a lot because it has its own juicy tastes awesome as well as beef but beef doesn't really have much organic taste as much as chicken. I will suggest you guys to have some hummus on your platters. And eventually the regular plate has more value than the small plates what you pay for.

We really enjoyed their food. I thought we were supposed to get both white sauce and hot/red sauce with orders. But I only got the white sauce.

The kabab was nice. Importantly is was halal as not many halal options for Muslims in downtown San Francisco.
