The most beautiful big city in America that I have visited so far. The center is great, but the part along the coast is even more beautiful and interesting. The food in the restaurants is phenomenal (especially the crabs!) The ice cream is superb! And the space itself all around you is practically historical, every detail. It is mandatory to visit this beautiful city slowly and in detail several times.

It’s a tourist attraction place in San Francisco. It has a nice view from which you can see the city and Golden Gate Bridge. There are wrecks of old ships. On some days they do not open due to weather conditions.

A wide and varied diverse crowd, wow! Vendors crowded in tight formation with usual and unusual tourist trinkets and hats and colourful toys. Music thumping, crooners crooning, fit young men showing off their acrobatic skills and break dancing moves, fried seafood in all it's unhealthy manifestations, and a few choices for more healthy seafood fare. Sad to see so much plastic floating around the fishing vessels, the very detriment to their chosen occupation. Museum/arcade...amusing, thought provoking...old style animatronic amusements, models, pinball, displays...enough to while away some time and quarters. Great views, lovely park, a little beach, and quite a number of tourist priced concessions and attractions, but enough to see even if on a budget. WOW!

Beautiful sceneries. Public restrooms available in the Maritime parking area. Gets very chilly, make sure you take a jacket with you. At night it gets quite dark.

Very nice ambiance for relaxation and to sit anywhere. I just hope people would be able to respect each other's space, enjoy the beauty of nature without littering and listen to each birds hymm without hearing some else's music preferences.

This is a hidden gem right in the tourist district near Fisherman's Wharf. Great fun if you're interested in history or classic sailing ships. The main attraction is a late-19th century merchant vessel, Balclutha. You can walk on to the deck and explore different parts of the ship, and learn about sailing these classic ships & life aboard them. Bonus: cool views of Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz and the Bay

The park is very small, but the view of the bay is very pleasant and relaxing. Can’t believe I see so many people were swimming in the bay. Can’t imagine how cold that water is. These swimmers are very hardy.

Awesome place!! One of the 5 national parks in San Francisco. The map actually shows ths cove but the pier is on the right. There are 4 historical ships here covering San Francisco's past, but at present only one is open for boarding. Tip: get the America the beautiful pass, it saves a ton of money!

Wonderful place where we can see our marine history. Very interesting. Clean and super fun place. The weather also very nice at this moment. I and my husband visited first time this place. Couldn’t get time to spend more at this place. We surely plan to visit this hidden gem.

Great park to walk around and explore. The brisk salt air invigorates as you check out the various sights. We loved our afternoon here and in the general area, and plan to go back for another visit soon.

Neat little park with a few historical ships. Unfortunately some of them were closed when I visited, but its worth a visit and only a short walk from Pier 39. With some of the ships you can get better pictures from the beach or Municipal Pier

Nice, relatively tranquil park to take a break. Generally clean and well-kept. Good place to dip your toes into the pacific ocean.

Had my America the beautiful pass and wandered into this park while walking around San Francisco. Would definitely recommend! Unless your kid absolutely loves boats, the exhibits feel more geared toward adults. Very informative and interesting stuff! Walking on the open boats was a cool experience. Beautiful view of the coast too! Worth checking out.

Besides The North Co brewing company is a great place to sit for a drink, then walk down to the water and relax. While I was there kids were making a TicTok video with Alcatraz behind them which was cute Some were swimming which is crazy to me (too cold for swimming) Most just sitting watching the waves come in. Very calming

The Golden Gate Bridge is such a beautiful landscape just to remind you that life can bridge you into beautiful places if we are just willing to cross it and stay encouraged.

Accidentally found this park looking for a bathroom which it has. I used my America The Beautiful pass to gain free entry. A hidden gem in the NPS collection. Some neat history here worth a visit. I was only person during my visit.

This park is right opposite to the Ghirardelli Square. It makes prefect location for SF Fleet week. Fleet Week in San Francisco is an annual event that typically takes place in October. It's a week-long celebration that honors the contributions of the United States Armed Forces and showcases various military activities. Fleet Week features impressive air shows, often featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, who perform aerobatic maneuvers over the San Francisco Bay. During Fleet Week, you can often tour military ships and vessels that dock in San Francisco. They are typically anchored in pier 30-32. The event includes displays of military equipment, vehicles, and demonstrations, allowing attendees to learn more about the armed forces.

Admission is free. There are a few nautical items on display in the main hall. Restrooms are off the balcony facing the water. This is an attractive Art Deco building.

If you're into history or old sailing ships, this place is super fun! You get to see cool views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the Bay! Check out the Balclutha, an old ship from the late 1800s. Walk on the deck, discover various parts of the ship, and find out how they sailed and lived on it.

A wonderful day to enjoy "Fishermans Wharf". A bike ride was in order & I had fun. It was neat to view swimmers practicing their strokes...damn , the water had to be freezing.

My friend and I were there for Fleet Week, with my "ADA working dog in training" to see the Blue Angels. They had an outside shower and nozzle so children and adults could rinse the sand off there suits or skin. A sandy beach and the Pacific ocean burrr to swim in. It was amazing and an awesome show to see and hear the Blue Angels. Thank you to the city and County of San Francisco and all the Police personnel out in force to keep the streets safe, the extra portapottys that were greatly needed for the crowds of people.

Unfortunately not all the ships were open due to weather. Very cool to be on the tall ships. Call to make sure all the ships are open before you go. Your ticket is also good for 7 days.

Full of history, beach and great food. Ghirardelli sign - a famous chocolate brand. Historic warships are moored beside.

What a great surprise. I had no idea that we had a National Park on the Piers in San Francisco. We do, and our annual National Park Pass worked for access to see the amazing examples of masted ships and 1907 tug boats and more.... so cool

Some nice views of the bay and the city from the end of the pier. And a few old ships. People regularly open water swim here, the water is nicely sheltered. And I have seen seals playing in the water here too.
