Very rude staff. Followed me around the store and behaved as if I'm going to to steal merchandise. I'm normally the type of person who can spend lots of money on stationary and washi tape but they're not getting my business. I should probably also mention that the store manager followed me outside l after I told them that I felt disrespected and left. She yelled at me "WE DIDN'T DO ANY THING" as I walked out. She would not leave me alone and proceeded to explain to me that I "was sketch, just ask my staff". She also called the cops. Luckily they were understanding and let me go, and took me to a safe spot. I have never been treated so poorly by a stranger and I am appalled at how unprofessional and aggressive the manager was. Please do not support this business! There are a couple other stationary and gift shops in the area, including a Papyrus and Minted just a block away. There's also a Papertree on Sutter St and several very cute gift and card stores in the Japantown Center.

The employees were terrible and racist. One lady followed me around the store to make sure i didnt steal. She looked at me DISGUSTED throughout my time there. She looked me over before i left the store. I thought they had really cute stuff but the employees should not treat people of color like that. My white friend was served with a smile and not a single employee acknowledged my presence (but the lady that followed me around and checked me). The lady following me also told me to put down something i was holding and was considering buying.

I am Asian and I’m the best kind of customer. I know what I want, I don’t have any questions and my credit card is in my hand by the time it’s my turn in line. In the month of December I’ve been to this store twice to get a gift wrapped. Its the only hit that pops up when you google “gift wrapping” and it should come as no surprise why I want gifts wrapped in December, despite being Asian. Every time I’ve been to the store the manager tells me “I don’t have enough staff to help you with that.” The first time I went she had another staff person with her. Today when I went she has TWO whole employees including herself who “couldn’t possibly help me wrap my gift” in the month of December at one of the only stores where you can pay for a service. Why?? Everytime this very nice young blonde woman intervenes and helps me wrap my gift for me, but I have to go through this whole elaborate routine of attempting to wrap the gift myself first. That girl should be the manager. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. It’s a fee for a service at a store that sells fancy paper and it’s December. Please explain

Paper source is a great spot to purchase any sort of invitations, party supplies decor, etc. They have very high-quality stuff that is perfect for kids birthdays or even adult stationary. Very nice staff that works there always ready to help out and provide assistance. We were very happy with our visit and the things that we got. Would very much recommend other folks try it out as well.

This place has everything you will ever need for crafting, party ideas and supplies, office needs with flare and pizazz! It's honestly a one stop shop all year round. The prices can be a bit high but if you're a tourist or established local, you won't flinch at any numbers you may rack up. Friendly and informative staff. Always helpful and maintain superb consistency with each special service they provide (gift wrapping, balloon bouquet ext)

Super friendly crew and helpful. They don't shy away from suggesting some other place when they don't have something. And i just got 50% off on a pack of 100 black craft papers: 21 bucks

I searched high and low for a nice gift box for the 2nd anniversary of my neighbors. I went everywhere online, and everywhere offline. The best solution was a regular box with exceptionally beautiful paper and now. Be sure and ask an employee to wrap your gift. They're very good at it. My only caution is that, if you go inside Paper Source, you will find at least a dozen things you want to buy. Check yourself, set a budget, and whittle it down to 10 or 11. Cheers, enjoy!
