I recently went in after seeing Christmas decor being put out in late October, and while I looked like a disheveled, under-dressed conference attendee meandering the floor, Scott Grim treated me like I was a buyer with intentions to purchase, and sure enough, I did do business. I purchased the item pictured and had it shipped to my mother for Christmas decor, and while I was promised 7-10 days, she received it in under 4. Excellent service and a wonderful store to boot.

This recent visit to Gump’s will be my last. The street conditions are abysmal. Getting threatened to be beaten if I don’t give them what they want. People shooting up drugs right in front of store. Called names, just horrible. I saw two car break-ins that happen in broad daylight. Smash, grab, and walk away. Wasn’t even in a rush. No cops anywhere. Like the Wild West where drug dealers and criminals have taken over. No repercussions for crime, so it is a criminals dream come true. I hope they move to somewhere safer, as they have been around so long. Do your customers and employees a favor by moving to somewhere safer. Is just a matter of time before someone gets hurt or worse. So sad what SF has become. Was such a beautiful city. I used to live there years ago but will never be back. A turnaround under current leader ship is hopeless.

I have been searching for ages for Christmas ornaments that are high quality. I took a chance and ordered several. I am over the moon! These ornaments are exquisite! I just found my new favorite store. A special shout out to Mark who assisted me with my order. I am so excited to receive my hard copy catalog. I will be a frequent shopper.

So, so happy Gump’s is back. If you love speciality gift shops as much as I do, shop at/order from Gump’s. Yes, it’s spendy, but some occasions call for laying out extra dollars. I particularly stay alert for sales. Truth is that if people do not shop at special stores such as Gump’s, they will disappear. Gump’s is extra special at Christmas time. The first floor sparkles with the most wonderful tree decorations. If, like me, you need purchases shipped, be confident that fragile glass ornaments will arrive quickly and securely.

This little shop is an absolute must to see over the holiday. The Christmas decorations range is large and they are beautiful. A little pricey, but not more than Macy’s for the same ones. You’ll have space and quiet to shop or just feast your eyes all you want. The staff is snobby though. I guess it is to be expected given the price range but I still am of the opinion that money should not be directly correlated with looking down on people - and yes, I am used to chic places thank you very much.

An amazing store with so many unique items. I always find something memorable to buy. Unfortunately, San Francisco has become an unlivable cesspool and Gump’s will probably be relocating. Wherever they go, I wish them well, they are a one of a kind.

Not the Gump's I remember. Apparently customer service is no longer a priority. I placed an order for several items over a month ago. They dribbled in one at a time with the last one showing up yesterday. Sad to see another institution crumble.

I ordered something from this company back in early November for our Christmas tree. Only communication from them was a text the day of ordering saying the order placed. Almost a month later nothing still nothing from them so we called. They said it was on back order and probably won't be here in time for xmas .Asked why they didn't let me know and they said they didn't have an email address. Come on!! You had a phone number because you texted that the order was placed. They said conveniently that they don't let customers know issues with there orders by phone. They charged my credit card though so they got their money. Stinks they don't care about customer service for online buyers. I feel it was a mistake to do business with Gump's .
