TL;DR:
a
SUPER
community-oriented,
beginner
and
advanced
friendly
powerlifting
gym
with
stellar
coaches.
Since
joining
4
mo
ago,
my
progress
and
physical/mental
strength
has
skyrocketed.
I'd
recommend
taking
them
up
on
their
1-tour
offer,
which
really
convinced
me!
---
While
cliché
to
say,
Invincible
Barbell
has
really
changed
my
life.
I
had
0
experience
in
powerlifting
before
walking
into
this
gym
around
4
months
ago,
not
knowing
whether
I'd
even
like
it.
As
a
woman
and
as
someone
who
never
seriously
competed
in
sports
growing
up,
powerlifting
felt
very
intimidating.
Fast
forward
to
today,
I'm
so
much
stronger
(not
only
physically,
but
mentally!)
and
excited
to
compete
in
my
very
first
meet
in
a
few
weeks.
For
anyone
considering
stopping
by
for
a
tour,
I'd
HIGHLY
HIGHLY
recommend
it.
I
dropped
into
several
weightlifting/powerlifting
gyms
and
classes
in
SF
before
committing
to
a
membership
here,
and
choosing
Invincible
was
standout
on
a
few
axes:
1)
The
coaches:
MaryAnn
is
my
coach
and
she
nails
the
difficult
balance
of
creating
a
safe
space
for
failure
and
pushing
me
to
be
my
best.
She
also
has
been
unbelievably
patient
in
introducing
and
reviewing
powerlifting
fundamentals
with
me,
given
that
I
had
no
training
or
knowledge
beforehand.
Vince,
as
many
others
here
have
attested,
is
also
awesome
though
I
do
not
regularly
train
with
him
like
I
do
with
MaryAnn
:)
2)
The
programming:
MaryAnn
has
a
structured,
block-based
training
plan
for
me,
which
is
clearly
optimized
based
on
my
day-to-day
sessions,
which
I
think
has
been
the
difference
between
slow
and
skyrocketing
progress
in
all
of
my
#s
(Squat,
Bench,
Deadlift).
She
also
is
more
than
happy
to
program
in
remote
or
accessory
workouts
should
I
request
them,
or
make
ad
hoc
changes
if
I
need
to
miss
a
session
or
two
due
to
travel/work.
The
monthly
membership
seems
costly
on
first
glance
but
the
amount
of
individualized
coaching+attention
and
value
I've
gotten
make
it
a
super
good
deal,
IMHO!
3)
The
community:
many
gyms
like
to
boast
this,
but
the
powerlifting
M/W/F
class
has
truly
become
my
second
home
here
in
SF.
You
get
to
see
the
same
friendly
faces
3x
a
week,
who
will
cheer
for
you
in
training
max-out
days
or
just
because.
MaryAnn
also
regularly
schedules
gym
hangouts
that
are
very
well-attended
such
as
picnics
and
Halloween
parties.
4)
The
facilities:
the
gym
has
always
had
any
kind
of
bar
a
member
could
ask
for
and
more
platforms
than
I
have
seen
in
any
other
gym.
In
the
past
few
months,
MaryAnn
and
Vince
have
also
been
adding
new
equipment
and
renovations
(though
I
think
we
already
had
everything
we
could've
wanted/needed).
If
I
haven't
convinced
you
yet
and
you're
still
reading
this,
I'd
recommend
scheduling
a
gym
tour
via
their
website
to
check
it
out.
That's
what
certainly
convinced
me
:)
