This is what I do for food sometimes, some might say I’m a foodie nut. I woke at 6:00am, got ready and made my way here. Note, I walked past this place twice before and the line was way too long, but I needed to try this legendary place. Even a cold and misty morning wouldn’t stop me. I got here at 6:52am and was 2nd in line, opening was just after 7am. My server was really polite and helpful. I got my goodies and made my way back to my hotel as fast as possible to enjoy this while still hot. This is possibly the cheapest meal I had on my trip to SF, but it was so tasty, not reflective of the price you pay, really good value for money. I tried 3 items as you can see. All were fantastic and As good as they needed to be and really gave me the dimsum fix that I craved for. The free soy and chili sauces added more flavor too. Cost me less than $20, more than enough for 2 people. If you were on the fence about trying this place, just go ahead and give it a shot, it’s really worth the effort to try these delicious morsels.

Went on a Friday afternoon on a beautiful, cool day at 12:45 and the line was quite short. Was prepared for aggressive service based on reviews but it was absolutely fine. The ladies are simply efficient and want to get you through as quickly as possible. I ordered a steamed BBQ Pork bun, a sesame ball, and shark fin dumplings and enjoyed them all, particularly the dumplings. Those suckers couldn't have been more filled with great stuff if they tried. And they were HUGE while still being thin enough that it wasn't about the dough. The bun filling was great but the bun itself was just fine, hence the 4 star instead of 5. Take the time to familiarize yourself with the menu before going; it's not positioned well to see it until you're up for order, and you'll feel the pressure to hurry. List the item and how many; don't infer one by default, they'll ask you every time if you don't just tell them.

This place is bit over rated, it had become famous for being famous. The pineapple buns and pork sui Mai is good but clearly not better than few others in the area ( FYI, I’m only comparing to these low end dimsum place). Many other mid to high end dimsum restaurants will blow this away with ease. I definitely think the long line and wait isn’t worth it.

They usually have a queue, since this place is quite popular. I visited around 8:30am and just waited 15 min. They have very fresh dim sum with amazing prices. I asked to just get one piece (instead of 3) in order to try different ones. The sesame balls are perfectly crispy outside and have a super chewy shell. Same goes for the fried meat dumplings, which I would definitely recommend. The rice cake is almost silky smooth.

There was a super long line that continued outside of the shop into two sections. The line moved fairly quickly but be prepared to wait around ten minutes. I was pretty disappointed with the shrimp dumplings; they were bland. The BBQ pork bun was pretty good. Make sure you bring cash or they will charge you extra.

This dim sum spot is one of well known ones out of many in SF, Chinatown. Being an SF native, I never tried this spot until recently because I wanted to see what the hype was about. For me, I give the food a 3.5/5. I got to try: 1. Pan fried scallion cake (3/5) 2. Baked BBQ pork bun (4/5) 3. Steamed BBQ pork bun (4/5) 4. Baked scallion bun (3/5) 5. Deep fried meat dumpling (5/5) 6. Shrimp pork, beef, chicken sui mai (3/5) 7. Vegetable and pork bun (5/5) 8. Sausage bun (4/5) 9. Soy sauce chow mein (1.5/5) 10. Custard rice cake dessert (2/5) 11. Taro Bun There's always a line so expect to wait. I came both in the morning and once in the evening and waited about 10-20 mins. Service is average. The people there never smile and look like they hate their job. I mean I get it. it's tiring but it lowkey ruins the experience. Overall, the food is good but nothing to rave about. The prices are decent for the portion sizes.

This place is fantastic!!! The ladies who work there are so fantastic, I got far more food than I could eat for ten dollars and they give you cutlery and sauce. I got the shrimp dumplings, chives dumplings, shiu mai and bbq bun- all fantastic and filling, the shrimp dumplings were my favorite

Came here because it has really good reviews. There is always a line outside and we got here around 4:30pm and they were mostly out of everything. Definitely recommend to come early in the day if you want more options. The ladies do not speak much English so if you speak cantonese it helps. Felt like they were yelling at me the whole time.

Classic Chinatown bakery with all the usuals. Great food for a great price. I got their pork bun which was super nostalgic and delicious. They had so many of them freshly steaming! Would recommend!

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 No hot sauce or mustard or chopsticks 💀 But the dimsum was BONKERS DELICIOUS. The rice noodle rolls changed my life.
