A nice bar with tons of chairs and space. The music was good. Service fast. It was only one person (host, waiter, bartender, cashier, etc) and he was amazing and fast, runs around the tables, and keep every table served happy. There are several TVs.

the service is very slow in the hall there are only two people working, we waited for the menu for about 15 minutes then the food came and we waited for the check for about 20 minutes and no one came up to us! in this restaurant, if you yourself don’t ask anyone, you will sit and wait .... no one offered us water initially and we had to wait for some time to catch the waiter and ask for water. they also don't have a drinks menu, or rather, it is on the wall ... on the positive side - they have a good bartender woman, she told us about the drinks and made them pretty quickly. Very tasty food and drinks that could not but please. As for the atmosphere, the hall and restroom are quite pleasantly decorated. the women's restroom was clean and decorated with beautiful paintings.

Good selection of draft and full bar. The night we went the waitress was doing her best to keep up, but poor thing was working alone. She handled it well!

Irish pub in the heart of the financial district. Pretty good beer selection. Food wasn't horrible. Good place to watch the game. Big area can handle a crowd. Staff are on their game. If that's your vibe you'll enjoy it.

Came here with my boyfriend on st patty’s day morning to watch march madness. Sat at the bar and he ordered a beer and I asked for a water because I don’t drink. The bartender with short red hair in an insolent and disrespectful tone said there was a $20 minimum each and I had to order a drink. We moved to a table because of how unmannerly she was. I understand it’s st patty’s day but it was in the morning and the bar wasn’t busy yet. Would not recommend coming here.

Fish and chips were decent, a little pricey for 2 beers and 2 plates expect 125$ + and service was good. Have to visit again and sample other plates. Beer selection is not the biggest, but the ambiance was social and warm. Edit: Adding a star for owner response -and perhaps I'll come back for a couple more pints of stout! Add a plate x2 of wings for us both to the above and a 25% tip and thats how you get about $125 bucks - was just 2 of us passing through- still say it was a bit high but not a rip off. The Financial district (where I work) is pricey, rent is high, I understand, and not so many late-night spots available so this is a good spot, just be prepared. As an influencer with ~10,000 review hits I try and be fair and honest! Cheers,

Visited Irish Times early in the morning to watch the World Cup, and loved it! Met Jack and his team, and it was AWESOME!!!! Highly recommended if you are in the Financial District.

I love this place! Lorraine, Teddy, Jack and Ava are awesome! The food, conversation and music are great. It's also a great place to watch a game on the weekend without shouting drunk people. Keep up the great work!

I was really excited to come here but disappointed by everything about it. The chips for the nachos were stale. The Irish Coffee was the only thing that tasted good. The service was not great... the bartender was nice. Really wanted Authentic Irish Food and they had nothing to offer.

Having worked both blue and white collar jobs in the City, as well as being born and raised here, I can definitely say there is a reason the Irish Times is more popular with locals than the place up the block. The Irish Times has great bartenders, great waitstaff and unpretentious locals. THIS PLACE IS REAL SF. If you are in the area and wish to experience an authentic Irish San Francisco bar where you will have good food and drinks and will not be judged, look no further. Go to the Irish Times.

Very nice chill spot. Was able to get a table and watch the game for a couple hours with my family. Very great selection of imported beers. Sweet Potato fries and mushroom soup were the best

Ordered the Reuben with fries, gf ordered same with sweet potato waffle fries. Food was good, beer selection was ok. For an Irish pub vibe, it was spot on! Good selection of Irish Whiskeys! Bartender was very attentive and friendly. Kind of a dive bar vibe, but I liked it! Will be back next time we're in town!

Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came... that's Irish Times. My favorite place to drink after work (I work a few blocks away). I have to pass a few other bars but it's worth the walk. Every time. They never disappoint. If you want a cold beer and a warm smile this is the place for you.

Simple great beer bar! Food is soso, but good they have it. Usually a bit understaffed so go order at the bar. Outside seating and when the games are on they often turn the TV's to the street and get a crowd going.

Visiting from out of state, great place to sit outside and have some food and drinks. Service was excellent. Food was great. Had the bangers & mash, nachos, fish and chips along with some Irish coffees; all wonderful. Side note, by far the cleanest restrooms out of all the places we visited in the City.

I’m giving this pub 5 stars even though I can’t comment on the food. I came to try the Guinness. The fact that it was a 2 part pour was impressive as have been in a few other bars in SF that didn’t do this. I took a little video of the pour. It you’re after a good Guinness in SF this should be your first port of call.

Came in with our pup and we were welcomed as if we were neighbors. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. The service was friendly and quick without feeling as if we were rushed. The food was delicious, we ordered the fish and chips as well as the buffalo chicken sandwich:FIRE came w/ curry fries and needless to say I was very happy. Feels like just our local watering hole in the middle of the big city. We'll definitely be back! Did I mention this place is dog friendly 🙂

During our visit to Irish Time in SF, we decided to follow our server's recommendation and ordered their Guinness in a glass. And let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing! The server's advice was spot-on. We originally planned to order a pitcher of Guinness, but the server informed us that Guinness poured in a glass would provide a better taste experience. Trusting their expertise, we took their suggestion, and we're so glad we did. The Guinness in the glass was exceptionally smooth and flavorful. It surpassed our expectations, leaving us thoroughly impressed. In those establishments, the Guinness often had a bitter aftertaste. However, at Irish Time, the Guinness in the glass was a true delight, and it's no wonder they've perfected the pouring technique. Aside from the remarkable Guinness, Irish Time also offers a welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. The staff was attentive and helpful throughout our visit, contributing to a positive overall experience.

This is the first time I have ever reviewed on Google but felt compelled to. Visited Irish Times from out of town and I have to say the small short haired female bartender and the grey haired male bartender are both very rude. My wife and I visited on St Patrick’s Day and we witnessed both of them be rude to different customers, one of which was when someone asked the male bartender if anyone could wipe down a dirty table, he just laughed in their face and said ‘This place isn’t a hotel’ and just walked off. Regarding the female bartender, having sat at the bar and ordered a round of drinks. She very abruptly told me the price and took the money from me. I then placed a tip on the bar which she later collected. When we went to order a second round we asked if they sold sparkling white wine to which she replied ‘Yeah…….. do you want one or not’. When I went to pay for the second round she basically started question me on what and how I was going to tip her as I didn’t bother before. I told her I did tip her….. she then basically called me a liar. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would never go back there again.

We did Alcatraz, hit City Lights Books, and then we needed a bathroom and a drink, in that order. We had planned to have dinner in Chinatown, but Irish Times stood out in a quick Google search and was within a 9 minute walk. We thought it would be a bathroom break and one adult beverage, but it turned into dinner. Food was very good, and the food and drinks were the most reasonably priced we had come across during our visit, but what stood out was the much overworked gentleman behind the bar who doubled as our server. The man was a gentle giant and very accommodating. He went above and beyond. Made me a fantastic Old Fashioned. Great find!

A great atmosphere. Fabulous shepherd's pie. Amazing happy hour specials from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. seems like every hour is a happy hour there. Can't wait to go back and visit

Close your eyes and think of what an Irish bar should look like…Poof, Irish Times is it. ‘‘Twas a great place for a pint and take in a game. The bartender was super and quite friendly. It was good to see dogs enjoying the scene too.

While visiting San Francisco, we wanted somewhere for a quick lunch. We found this spot and loved it. The beer was reasonably priced and the food was fantastic! It was honestly the freshest sandwich I've ever had! Definitely recommend!

Love this place. Lorraine (sp) was a wonderful bartender. She was pleasant and chatty, but not overly so. The chef made a potato and parsnip soup that was creamy and delicious. Finally got the Smithwick's beer I've been searching for. Yum all around dinner.

Came here to watch UFC 280, and was not disappointed. Messaged them the day before to ask if they would show the event, and i got a quick response and they even showed the prelims. Huge selection of drinks and beer. Super fun atmosphere. Even some cute dogs walking around the bar. Would definitely watch UFC here again!

My friend and I stopped by for a couple of beers. Loved the laid back atmosphere. Will be back real soon for some food next time. Love SF with it's traditional local neighborhood taverns.

Great place to hang out and enjoy friends and family, while watching a game or two! I'm from Chicago, but the atmosphere was like being at home.
