This place is the real deal. The quality of the drinks are legit. Inside is clean and little touches of love and attention make it authentic. Super glad we stumbled across the Tunnel Top.

Their Menu is Modeled* after/*for The Lime, so Their Drinks Contrast AGAINST The Liquour. They Refuse a 3rd Drink to Someone That Knows amA Higher Menu. Ugh. They Do Not Take Care of Single Ladies who Respect Their Self Enough to Remain Coherent in/For Any Emergency. Appalling. They Aren't Gentlemen. AVOID. ALSO, AVOID THE IRISH BANK. Booger in The Glass wasn't Mine. Still Drank it (The Liquour) and Even Asked for A Third. Whatever. True American. Don't Clean Up After Yourselves, not Take Care About Your Bar. This Place is a Wreak.

The wife and I went to SF for her birthday weekend. We stumbled upon the Tunnel Top on our first night. What a great spot. It's a great atmosphere that kind of feels like an old speakeasy. Then after a few minutes we're having excellent Old Fashioned's from their great bartenders - Arno is a particularly great guy who recommended great restaurants and other things we should do. We had such a great experience that we went back again on our last night in town. We'll definitely go back next time we're in town and could not recommend more highly.

I've been going to Tunnel Top for nearly 20 years now. I went to Tunnel Top because the bartenders at this establishment know their craft. Conveniently located in between several neighborhoods including Union Square, China Town and Nob Hill. But its been a minute (pre-covid) since I've gone due to the heightened crowds in the past few years that used to frequent it making it nearly impossible to get to the bar, grab a seat or have a conversation. But I must admit this last time I went it was like pre-migration (referring to the influx of people from other states). I was not only able to easily get to the bar but was able to find ample seating for 6. Though I must say the host are still working their craft. Turning out excellent, balanced cocktails without the attitude. And their friendly conversation is a perfect accompaniment with the warm, homely feel of the wooden interior. This used to be my hidden little watering hole haven when I worked in the City. Maybe it'll return to it's obscurity days, giving space to true cocktail snobs (like me) wanting to escape the hustle & bustle. 🤞

Great music, great drinks and even more amazing prices. If you're looking for some rare whiskey for a great price, check out their top shelf. Pappy, Thomas H Handy, etc. They even offer flights.

Found this place randomly with the wife one evening, we managed to gate crash a birthday party upstairs where they had a wicked DJ going off. The bartenders were sound and chatty, they had a doorman checking ID's and keeping out the riff raff🤣 the toilets were interesting to say the least. I love checking out the graffiti in toilets of dive bars!!!

We absolutely love this place and make a point of coming here every year for Santacon. It is clean and inviting. The drinks are great and Ali is the best!

A nice little dive bar that’s worth popping into for a drink while in the area. Happy hour until 6:30 pm but even their regular prices are reasonable.

I was walking by and heard Metallica playing, so stopped in for a pint, ended up staying for a couple of hours chatting to people in the bar. Decent prices, good music, heaps of seating upstairs. Thanks Brian for looking after us!

Dive bar but the cocktails and beer selection is surprisingly good and vast. There’s a second level with a wrap around balcony. Friendly guy tending bar. Nice vibes, good music. The game’s on. Just cool.

Hope this place stays open forever! Been coming here for the last few years, great location! Always fast service at the bar, even when they're packed. We love walking up the "iffy" ;) stairs and enjoying our drinks on the 2nd floor. Although we were the oldest people there on a Saturday night after a Giants game, we had a great time!

Good vibe. The mixed drinks tasted a bit off, like the soda gun was having issues. Luckily they had good draft options.

It was a dark and artsy bar. Can go upstairs to sit and lounge. Cool bar to just have a chill time on a Monday or Tuesday night !

Cool, relaxed, divey bar with great cocktails and happy hour deals. Feels like a neighborhood gem. Grabbed a second floor seat next to the windows for a view of the street.

Cool and relaxed atmosphere, great taste in music. The drinks are made with love. It‘s a pity that we‘ve discovered the Tunnel Top only on our last day in San Francisco.
