A wonderful hotel right in middle of the historic Presidio. The views of the Golden Gate Bridge are kind of hard to believe, and to be honest I still wasn't used to the sight after my 4 night stay. The nightly rate is a little pricey, but worth it for the prime location, amenities and cheap parking ($10 per night). Free EV charging (level 2 j1772) is available in the adjoining parking lot behind the hotel. The park itself is a beautiful place with more than enough to explore over a weekend. The staff is wonderful and made everything super easy. Complimentary breakfast and wine & cheese round out the experience to make it a pretty sweet deal. I highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

This review will be brief - if you book a junior king suite room, DO NOT ACCEPT ROOM 113. Not only will you have light spilling in from the front porch lights, but there is a mechanical device next to the room that kicks on every hour or so throughout the day and night. I had ear plugs in and it still woke me up every time it came on. The room is not suitable for offering to the public and the management team should be ashamed of itself for offering it. The physical facilities are very nice and the buffet style food offerings (wine hour and breakfast) are also very good for a cold offering (no hot food beyond toast when I was there).

This is a wonderful place to stay! Love the location on the Presidio. It's a beautiful, quiet spot to relax. The hotel is charming and the rooms are very nicely appointed. Decent continental breakfast each morning and a nice wine and cheese assortment each evening. I have a suggestion about the shampoo/conditioner selection. It's a lovely option but the placement on the side wall of the shower/tub enclosure makes it very narrow and it's easy to smash elbows on the metal shelf. Perhaps placing it on the back wall would be much better? Also some clarification on parking would be nice. We were gone daily and only parked over night in the lot which is FREE. We paid the hotel for parking and didn't actually need to!

This is such a stunning boutique hotel and it was such a treat to stay here. The rooms are so comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The free daily happy hour just makes you feel special. The views and location set this hotel apart. With the free shuttle downtown, I can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else in SF!

The Lodge at the Presidio is a beautiful, boutique, historic hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms have spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and the bay. The rooms have high ceilings, are very modern with comfortable beds. The bathroom is well appointed with a good shower. Breakfast is included with a good variety of choices to choose from. It is a great location and safe neighborhood. My husband and I went with some good friends on vacation and we really enjoyed staying in this hotel and lovely area in S.F.

What can I say, the location is incredible (the views are breathtaking), the service was top notch, and the rooms were wonderful! This was the perfect place for my family of 4 to stay while we were in San Francisco! It was such a unique place to stay, with coffee and breakfast included each morning and convenient and cheap parking! We also loved how accessible it was to Golden Gate and the surrounding area. Was truly a great experience ans would love to return in the future!

You are paying for the location, and the history. Besides that it’s nothing memorable. The room itself is nice but it lacks amenities, and the amenities that are available are overpriced. They provide breakfast downstairs in the dining area and it was very sub par. The best part of this lodge is the outside and the view from the trails. I think I’ll skip this place next time i decide to visit the area.

This was a great stay. Staff were all excellent and accommodating for any and every need. The location was great for access to all of the attractions. The view of the Golden Gate Bridge from our room was perfect. The hotel is kept very clean especially the public areas and the rooms. The room was very spacious clean and quiet. This is a great historic place to stay and tour San Francisco.

Great lodge of the beaten path of San Francisco. They have trails you can walk, nearby restaurants, a fire pit, a choose your own seat dining area, and great views of the Golden Gate Bridge. This is a great inn and it is top notch compared to most San Francisco hotels I believe. The place also has great history being a former residence for the military.

Great place to stay. Amazing views of Golden Gate Bridge. Such a tranquil surrounding. Perfect place to stay. Presidigo bus links around the park and downtown make it easy to access the whole of SF. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend.

It's ok. Rooms are kind of drab and walls are paper thin. I've already said "bless you" ...twice.. to the guy in the next room who sneezed. Was woken up by lawn mowers at 8am on the hotel grounds. Breakfast wasn't much. I will skip it tomorrow. Hot water is not overly hot. It's a very standard military base type feel. Far cry from the hotel I just came from. Staff aren't overly friendly but neither were any of the Uber guys so maybe it's a San Francisco tourist thing. Won't stay here again but it's good enough for why I came. Also expensive. I was kind of surprised by the price and what I actually got. Didn't quite look like pics online. It is what it is.

Enjoyed our stay here. Had a standard room which was a bit small. Remember though that this was an old room for soldiers so I get it. The view made up for it. The room was very clean as well.. We could see the Golden Gate Bridge from our window. The staff are very attentive. My wife cannot drink alcohol and we were celebrating our 30th Anniversary. The Inn replaced the sparkling wine with sparkling lemonade. They also replaced the cheese with a fruit bowl. The decor highlights the history of the building and the Presidio. The Inn is also right next door to the Walt Disney Family Museum!

This is the best place to stay in sfo when you are in for a vacation. Especially for families with little kids. You feel completely safe and there is a huge lawn for the kids to play around all through the day. The property has some excellent views of the Golden Gate Bridge. It is also so close to the beach - 10 minute walk. The only downside is the breakfast, for the price you pay - the breakfast could have been better. But it is totally worth it.

It is a great place to spend a few relaxing days. Easy walking distance to the Golden Gate Bridge area. Free bus service to downtown and surrounding areas. Breakfast and evening canapΓ©s included. Perfect start to our vacation.

What an absolute gem in the bustling city of SF, perfectly suited for family with young kids to let loose on the open & spacious lawn and to play at the Tunnel top park just steps away. We loved it so much we returned for a second time for a even longer stay and took the four years old to ride across Golden Gate bridge from the lodge.

The interior of the building has been modernized without compromising the historic look of the outside. The staff are all super friendly and helpful, you're spoiled for choice at breakfast, there's wine and cheese in the evenings. The view from the back yard at the tunnel tops can't be beat. This is a great boutique place and I wish I had been able to spend more time here, but unfortunately this was a work trip.

This is a converted Armed Services Building. Absolutely fantastic location. Front porch faces a huge public park lawn and the bay with Alcatraz to the left and back patio with firepit has a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. I would venture to guess there is no other hotel with a closer view of the bridge. Great wine and cheese reception from 5-7P and excellent cold breakfast assortment in the mornings (pastries, hard boild eggs, cold cut meats, fruit, granola, cereals and more.) This is a real gem especially if you want to explore the Presidio and the Southern area of the San Francisco Peninsula. Not very far from the Marina district and Fisherman's Warf. The only thing lacking is an on-pemise bar/restaurant but there are a few choices within a short walk including an excellent Mexican eatery with a superb patio and even a bowling alley a stone's throw away. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with coffee maker, fridge, and large bathrooms.

Took in the Chuseok Korean Harvest Festival. Great event. Fantastic energy and so welcoming. Try different food if you get the chance next year that's the point to dive in!

What a lovely hotel, superb location, friendly staff and beautiful rooms. The room ceilings are unbelievably high, which make it felt very spacious. There’s wine and cheese at night and free breakfast in the morning, and the foods are very well prepared! Unfortunately we only got to stay for 1 night, but will definitely be back for longer next time.

From the moment you step inside....this place is amazing! The check in experience is so incredible. The staff is all so kind and friendly, efficient and great at their job. They tell you about everything that is offered and all the options, detailed instructions on where the rooms are located. The rooms are all incredible...great views, high end bedding and fantastic room. The staff is amazing when it comes to bringing water and room service as well as the wine tasting.

Overall a very pleasant stay - outstanding views, excellent restaurants close by (Colibri and Sessions), Tunnel Tops area and various trails right outside the door, very good complementary breakfast and wine/cheese hour (would appreciate a beer offering though). And room was clean and well laid out. One request: Please ensure staff can clearly explain parking options. I understand it's probably an expectation that they try and sell the overnight hotel parking option, but guests should be informed that street parking is free after 6 pm and before 0800. So if you've already paid for the day at a parking kiosk and are leaving early the next morning (like I was), paying the hotel for overnight parking seemed unnecessary (even though it was very reasonable). I tried to get clarification on this a couple of times, but was instead referred to the hotel's paid option. This didn't ruin our stay by any means, but with such a short amount of time I didn't want to spend it on parking issues. Thanks very much.

Blessed with a beautiful sunny day. Staying in a historic Golden Gate NP. Well worth the high price with all the amenities that come with it.

Great location. The room (Junior King Suite) was more spacious than we thought. Our kids loved it. Besides the queen bed, it has a couch converted bed which was done nicely for restful sleep. The front desk, Samantha, was awesome. She helped us by patiently explaining the activities (bike rentals, trails) we could do around and it was very helpful.

Services were fantastic, wine and cheese in the evening, breakfast in the morning, lovely patio's on the front and rear of the building with great views of the bay or the Presidio depending on where you sit, really is a picturesque hotel. Very pricey but worth it.
