The
hotel
has
a
real
vintage
charm
to
it.
Its
a
very
old
building
thats
been
kept
up
well.
There's
something
about
it
I
can't
put
my
finger
on.
Even
the
smell
is
antique.
I'm
definitely
not
used
to
the
shared
bathroom
concept
but
it
seems
to
be
the
norm
here
in
SF.
There
are
private
rooms
too
with
bathrooms
and
all
the
bathrooms
ARE
CLEAN
and
ARE
CLEANED
regularly.
The
rooms
are
also
clean.
Honestly,
before
I
settled
here
I
checked
several
other
hotels
in
the
area.
Giampaolo,
Romero,
and
the
staff
ARE
THE
NICEST
AND
MOST
KIND
OF
THEM
ALL.
The
rooms
are
stocked
with
Dail
soap
and
double
ply
tissue
and
lots
of
towels.
This
is
the
nicest
and
cleanest
hotel
for
the
price.
I
HAVE
LOOKED.
You
just
can't
beat
it.
The
location
is
ideal
to
get
around
and
see
the
city.
Hard
drug
use
is
VERY
casual
in
SF
and
there's
a
Harm
Reduction
Site
a
block
down
and
across
the
street.
Be
kind,
courteous,
and
short
and
you
should
be
okay.
Regardless
of
if
they
use
or
not
there
are
many
interesting
people
walking
around
outside.
You
can't
really
hold
it
against
Aida
because
any
other
hotel
you
stay
in
the
Tenderloin
will
have
the
same
environment
as
well
as
some
parts
of
SOM
and
Mission.
SF
still
has
work
to
do
on
the
corruption
in
their
government/real-estate
coupled
with
the
wealth/income
inequity
that
pushes
locals
to
poverty,
homelessness,
and
drugs.
Other
than
that
you
can
literally
walk
out
the
door
and
hop
on
any
bus
or
streetcar
and
explore
the
entire
city.
I
have
done
it.
