Upcider is awesome - huge cider selection, great food (the flatbreads are especially good), and awesome second floor seating with a corner view. One of my favorite places in the city. They didn’t post any notice that they’re on vacation for now (asked the waitress at the bar downstairs to find out what’s going on) and sounds like they’ll be open again in a couple weeks. (An update here or on their website would be helpful). UPDATE…a little late: they are indeed back open as of November 2022.

Best cider Bar! Only had 20hrs in San Francisco and this place is Amazing. When looking for Gastropubs in San Francisco, Upcider is the place to try. We had pull pork and Cajun chicken sandwich and the cauliflowers as an appetizer. Ozzy was a great host, and made great recommendations for their hard cider. Coming from Manhattan, this a must try!

Strangely, it wasn’t that busy on a Friday night but if you’re looking for a variety of ciders, this is the place! I think they’ve got over 10 on tap and more than 50 others in cans. Also a healthy mix of other brews if that’s your jam.

This place is a great hidden gem!!! They had 18 ciders on tap - plus even more in bottles. I was really impressed with how well curated their variety of flavours, brands and sweetness levels were ❤️ you can really tell they tried to get a cider for everyone’s taste! You can get any of their ciders on tap by the glass, or in a tasting flight (my fav). We were served by Rose who was FANTASTIC and super knowledgeable. If you’re a cider fan or just looking for something unique to try definitely check this place out.

Absolutely impressive dishes. Meatballs are really full of richness. Flatbreads (spinach/Gruyere and Lahmacun) are so delicious. Side salad was fresh and fries were tasteful. I loved the cider menu and tried many of them. Definitely will come back.

A nice second floor location with large glass walls. Nice for city watching. A great cider selection. Usually not very busy. The staff is very nice, and the buffalo fries are pretty good.

Easily within my Top 5 bars to visit in Lower Nob Hill. Many cider options to choose from- always hard to decide. Food is incredible! You can't go wrong with their flatbreads, esp the wild mushroom flavoured. Laid back & casual ambiance here. Open seating. Bartenders are personable. Plus the large windows with panoramic street views are hard to beat! This is a great mainstay bar in the neighborhood.

I was introduced to this place prior, where it's $20 for a flight of 6. While the flights are limited to the selection on the board, there is a huge selection of ciders for individual glasses. Unfortunately, I don't recall all the flight flavors we got, they all tasted amazing. We also go the mango raspberry cider and pineapple passionfruit cider. The mango raspberry was our favorite, definitely tasted like a sparking juice. The pineapple one was a bit more tart, but also really good. We also ordered the garlic fries. The garlic wasn't as much as I hoped, but the fries were still really good. I would definitely come back again. The food is a bit expensive for average portions, but the flatbreads are prob the best for value. It's definitely a nice place to hang out (a little dark if anything). I would definitely recommend to share a flight since it is 6 glasses.

This place is my go-to for a drink/brunch in the neighborhood. The ambiance is always relaxed (even during the weekend evenings), and the staff are super friendly and helpful! If you want to bring a group of friends to hang out there, they also do reservations as well. Beer and cider menus have their established brands on the menu, and rotating beers and ciders on tap. The food is AMAZING and always fresh! Highly recommend their brunch menu, and their meatballs dish. Any bar food essentials are also very tasty. All in all, I love Upcider because it's my place to unwind after a long day, and/or a place to bring my friends to hang out. This establishment will always have a place in my heart (and my belly).

A very unique place, I have never seen so many cider selections. At first I thought the prices were a bit hefty, but found that they brought me the entire bottle, not just a pour, which was a pleasant surprise. The bar was crowded and the younger crowd was a bit obnoxious, but overall the atmosphere was a good time.

Very nice atmosphere, super casual, ciders we're excellent. Not bad process either. Great views of the street and music set the mood. We had cider from a wine barrel and it was really interesting. Can't wait to go back and taste thier new flavors!

Review from 2018: Upcider is a unique concept. They specialize in ciders on tap, but also have a few bottled beers. The vibe is really cool - the bar is located on the second floor of a building right on the corner of Polk street. On a busy Friday or Saturday night, you can have a nice view of everyone walking around Polk street. They also have a few things on the food menu. We ordered the sweet potato fries and the charcuterie plate.

All around great! Cool vibe, huge selection of top quality ciders, and very reasonably priced. Owner was very welcoming and knowledgeable. My only regret is I didn't come hungry.

Great selection of ciders. Cool vibe. Food was a mixed bag. Sandwiches were great. Wouldn’t recommend the meatballs or flat bread.

large and with a view of the street from the 2nd floor. Who doesn't like a elevated place to have a drink. Most areas of seating fit medium parties of 4-6 but plenty of space to carve our for two. I feel like this place can be a quiet pitstop before turning in or a great place to run through a Saturday evening at.

Great food, amazing selection of ciders (and beer & wine) from around the world! If you ca ‘t make up your mind you can try many on a flight tray! Friendly staff and good lookout place to Polk & Sutter st.

Upcider is a classic Polk street spot. You have a great view to people watch and enjoy delicious ciders. I usually get the flat bread and some form of fries- they haven’t disappointed me yet! The staff/owners are really friendly too and they play good music. They also have some beers on tap if you don’t prefer cider.

One-of-a-kind cider bar. Owner was super helpful educating me on his vast cider selection. The Flatbread was awesome. Support this biz in tough times!
