Worth stopping in for the experience. Stopped in here here on a Thursday night, band was attempting to play, but there was a band fight and no one played. But the band fight was pretty entertaining to say the least. The inside of this place is old and historic. Cleanliness isn't top priority for the staff here. The bartender was cool she had a great personality and she did break up the band fight, Piper was her name. What really killed this place is the cook who brought in his dog to hangout at the bar. Don't mind dogs I do mind working staff members leaving their dogs unattended at the bar. Bottom line give this place a try but don't keep your hopes up that it will be amazing.

Love the dive bars especially in SF. First time there at this bar. My friend recommended it and I was not disappointed. Good prices for cocktails. Parking can be a challenge depending on the time.

Bathrooms need serious cleaning especially the walls, hotel staff is not regularly on site only a phone number to call. Also lots of dust everywhere, it's like the spot clean after the last guest. We stayed here last minute and yes you get what you pay. When addressing concerns to management by phone they could care less, and act like you are the first person to ever bring up a concern to them. I would recommend staying anywhere else, for a non smoking hotel there is a strong odor of cigarette smoke and some weird musty smell. Also no hand soap in the shared with the whole floor bathrooms, so make sure to bring your own! The parking lot the hotel recommends next to wells Fargo/Starbucks is known for cars being broken into at night per the parking attendant even. Although right across the street is a safe clean indoor parking garage, probably the best part of our stay.

Fantastic bar, club & institution of SF and the Bay Area. Full bar with bites and supports local music to this day. Cool music space with loads of character. Yhree thumbs up and two snaps in a circle.

At last.. a peaceful place to read my book and hide from the ugly weather while sipping on a cozy Irish coffee and hot toddy. The kitchen has new hours now. 4-11pm I believe. (So I waited a little until they were open and boy was it worth it.) πŸ˜ƒ Fried chicken sandwich was sooo good! I got extra pickles on mine because why not! Highly recommend!

Awesome location, easy to park, good beer selection, open mic night was a blast! However, the wait time for a beer on a Monday was well over 30 minutes and it quickly became comical. If you do get someone's attention you should probably order an extra drink.

Great place south of Market for some good live music. Parking a bit tight, food is good, fried deviled eggs are interesting. Happen to see a great band Inyan Kin though weather that night out a damper on things. Inyan played some great groovy music that we enjoyed a lot !

One of the best dives around. Great staff, tasty lunch, great music. Love the unpretentious real vibe. Pinball too.

They need more than the one cool bartender .. the poor guy was freakin' SWAMPED! for this reason, I can't give a better rating for service ... I waited 20 minutes to close the tab ... 😩

An absolute gem of a dive bar slash music venue. Went out here to see some local talent during one of my SF visits and EVERYTHING was exactly what I needed for a fun night out: Stiff drinks, cool crowd, friendly ambiance and all the good vibes.

I was visiting San Francisco for for the week and I happened upon this place. Honestly one of the best places I’ve been in my life. Stefano has got to be one of the best bartenders and was the best person i met in San Francisco my entire visit. The bloody Mary’s are great (a little spicy)!!!!!! The wings are great! If you’re visiting this is a must go!

Great classic dive bar atmosphere. Decent beer and liquor selection. I've only had the wings and burger from the kitchen, and both were good. There's a small stage/ lounge area separated (kinda) from the bar where local & visiting bands play. Closest bar to SF Caltrain station that's still open after 11pm.

Came to this place yesterday , the food is really good. You can really taste the quality of the hotdog. Definitely recommend, friendly staff. The only issue I had was that they were completely out of all beers and ice as well. Be prepare to wait in line. Overall, love this place and the food was great.

Gregarious saloon with a broad spectrum of local and traveling musical artists. Beer and a full bar do the trick.

Usually when you drink at a divey place you’d expect there to be divey prices. $12 for a pint? No thanks.

So happy they are opening again! Its only one day a week for now but this is one if the best and oldest bars in the city!

Food was good and so were the tap options. They need to make sure there is soap in their bathroom and not mostly water in a liquid soap bottle. Also if the site says $10 adv and $10 at the door to see the bands, don't squeeze out $20 out of me when I arrive.

Great smaller venue for night of up n coming Indie rock music; skilled, fun and supportive sound guy (Vince), gruff but friendly bartender, helpful Space Monkees band member at the door... such a supportive crew! Truly an quaint old day saloon vibe with upstairs-downstairs seating options but screen in the bar for alternate band viewing. Affordable drinks, and surprisingly awesome brewery quality food with vegetarian options.

Great service! If you are looking for a bite to eat from their menu, I highly recommend the stir fry noodles, you won't be disappointed!

Great dive bar for a low key night. They have a small selection of bar stools that wraps the bar, a back section for bands and a top section that over looks the band area. Prices are reasonable, bartender's are chill, and there's a cute dog that shows up on Thursdays. Oh, they also have tots. You're welcome.

Mean bouncer and not attentive stuff. If you are LGBTQ person stay away if you are a straight person then you will find it welcoming

Dingy, small, old and I love it. This place hasn't changed at all and, in San Francisco, that's a rare thing and a good thing. Music here feels like a home away from home. I've gigged here and I've listened here so many times. I'm a fan.
