This is in the Tenderloin District, not necessarily the nicest of neighborhoods in San Francisco but the room was clean and quiet, and the staff was always friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping staff were kind and always greeted us when they saw us. This was a last minute booking for us as the original motel we booked wouldn't allow animals, service or otherwise, we were there for the last Dead and Company shows, ever, and these guys stepped up to the plate, and we got the last room they had, and it was wonderful.

Ok, This motel 6 is smack dab in downtown San Fran like in the ghetto, and it was $150 a nite, but ill tell you , once in your room, and that door shuts, you could here the swizzle sticks stirring in the martini glasses 🥂 down the street at the closet dive bar!! Its that quiet and peaceful!!! I actually enjoyed it!!! Would definitely stay there again!! And there is a little market that's open late, if you dare to venture out after dark

Staff isn't super friendly but the main issue I have is they put me with my toddler in a room with an adjoining door, but we're alone. The people next door have been nothing but loud and disrespectful since they arrived and stayed early in the morning as well. Also feels very unsafe, like they can come in the room and sounds as if they are in our room already. Definitely will be noting NOT to be in adjoining room going forward.

I stayed here on two separate times and while the rooms are rough around the edges it wasn't that bad. You are in a rougher part of town so you should bring ear plugs so if your room is street side you don't have to listen to the noise. The floor was a bit dirty, but beds were clean and staff were friendly. Most problems were with the exterior environment that is beyond the businesses control.

This Motel 6 is decent, free parking and the room was decent to stay in. It was quiet inside the room and felt comfortable. Decent sized room for SF. The area nearby is rough, lots of homeless enclaves. Good value for money!

came on a trip as three girls in their late teens and early twenties. the reviews beforehand honestly made us nervous to arrive- however, when you’re on a budget you’re on a budget. turns out, the rooms are clean and nice, there is a relatively secure parking garage, and there’s always someone up front. we were never out past dark, nor did we ever walk around the immediate area, so we didn’t encounter any sketchy people. theres a fridge and tv (with an hdmi, so bring your switch) but thats it. no microwave or kettle or hot water maker. we made ramen with a paper bowl and hot water from the bathroom sink lol. worked good enough honestly, don’t let the reviews about the location deter you. at the end of the day it is just a motel 6, but with a car and an open mind, it does it’s job

Room was cozy & quiet pretty decently clean -despite the water spilled on the floor from the AC? & crumbs in bed. No Bugs/no Foul Smell (smoke-free room) Underground parking- area is a little sketchy especially during the night, but near a market, pizza spot for some late night grub. Check in process was easy and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. Bathroom a little claustrophobic, but the room was a good size (got one with two queen beds) Small TV no fridge/microwave . About 15 minutes away from the tourist areas- worth it for a one night budget stay!

I was very surprised at how clean it was. It was also very quiet inside the room, considering the chaos of the streets outside. The surrounding streets are not safe. I do not recommend for families.

One of the reasons I like this hotel so much is the management. One night, when I checked in, the clerk mistakenly charged my card when my room was prepaid. When I saw this in my bank statement, almost a month had gone by. All day I was getting ready for the fighting I was going to have to do to get my money back. The receptionist I talked to took my number and I didn't feel any better by it. When the PM called me back and told me that my refund would take three to five days, I was, like, don't worry about it. I don't even care how long. Thank you for your help!

The motel is clean and nice. The area around the motel is not so nice. Read about the Tenderloin district for details. Rooms are recently upgraded. The pet policy is the main reason we stayed. There aren't convenient places to walk dogs nearby. Off-street parking is convenient.

For the price, it was fine. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and the underground parking made me feel more at ease about my car. However, the bed was very hard, and it was in a pretty sketchy location. Only recommend it if you're visiting The City on a budget (which we were).

we arrived at the hotel and we had to deal with a most unpleasant young man, we wanted to leave our suitcases, he told us in a mean tone that he was not doing that here and after that our room would not be not a priest before 5 p.m., when I pay $150 for a room I expect a minimum of respect and service from the establishment. In addition, the neighborhood is very fearful, so we canceled our reservation and found another hotel (The Grant Hotel) with luggage storage, friendly staff, and breakfast included for $12 less!

For the location, the rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The 0illowsx could use upgrading, because they aren't that fluffy! The pillows are clean just not full enough for me!

This is the worst motel 6 in all of San Francisco The management takes your 💰 money and will black list you if you ask for a wash cloth crazy .... The staff is intimidated by him I complained that the coffee ☕ is taken off the counter after 10am sorry 🪳 cockroaches in the bathroom this place sucks and the funny part the manager treats the motel like the friggen Taj Mahal believe me we have a lot of pathic people running motels. Please stay anywhere else...

Left my wallet in the hotel room, called the same day and said I had to wait till the next day to figure something out. Called again the next day and lied that I was never there and I didn't show on camera. Told them to keep the money but instead they said they couldn't help me. ridiculous nasty underground parking lot.

It was okay. Room was nice and clean. Fridge wasn't working though. Bed was extremely firm, not very comfortable, but I was still able to sleep. Street noise is very loud late into the night. Front desk staff wasn't very warm or welcoming, but check in was easy. Parking garage was nice, my car wasn't broken into, but I left nothing in my car at all. I chose this motel mostly because it was extremely close to my venue, and I think if I make another trip to San Francisco, I'll probably pick a different hotel to stay.

The staff is friendly. Rooms are clean and they even offer smoking rooms! Parking is convenient and even though the surrounding area isn't the greatest after dark it still feels safe.

Location is in the heart of San Francisco’s homelessness crisis. Would not recommend unless it’s all you can afford. I would much prefer walking down 7 Mile in Detroit (I have been there aswell). The intersection this hotel is on is full of homeless people under the influence of drugs. Observed people cutting drugs on the hood of cars, smoking Fentanyl. Streets are littered with garbage. Crossed the street one night for food and within 20 seconds a homeless man through a brick through the window of a bus passing by. Typically you won’t have an issue if you mind your own business, absolutely no guarantee though. Most front desk staff not very friendly. Hotel rooms are well clean for Motel6, housekeeping actually mops the floors. Loud banging and stomping on the floor above me.

It was like spending a night in a haunted house. I have stayed in various motel 6s and have never had an experience like this. The room was not ready by check in and was still smelly when we were allowed in. Blankets had cigarette burns. Bathtub wouldn't drain. Air conditioning did not work so we had to keep the window open to keep the room cool. This usually isnt a problem but its in a bad part of town and we were woken up by homeless screaming obscenities in the middle of the night. Staff was friendly enough but i can tell they probably put up with alot. Im surprised motel 6 would even put their name on this building. Stay away from this area! Stay away from this hotel!

i did not end up staying here. i made the reservation for myself, daughter and her boyfriend (adults). while checking in i was very uneasy about the area. when a man slapped the window outside the lobby then rubbed his face across it i had seen enough! i cannot comment on the room or bed and only had a brief dealing with the front desk and it was pleasant when i canceled it.

Located in the tenderloin. Very reasonably priced.. about half of anywhere else. Protected Underground parking. Coffee in the morning. No pool or frills. Location is very skid rowish outside the motel. But it's a good solid place to stay within walking distance of poke street, Japan town, and other attractions.

Good location, but on the weekends there could be a bit of noise due to some street parties at the corner's liquor store. The room was ok for the price. It has a refrigerator. Breakfast in the office. Front desk staff could be kindest... Free private parking in the building.

Staff are pleasant and friendly. The parking is in a garage so I felt that my car was safe. I would recommend this Motel 6. Only complaint is the TV did not work which I reported to staff. The wifi signal was strong so I was able to watch TV/movies on my tablet.
