I had a great experience overall. Check in and out was very easy. The man at the front desk was super kind and explained the area to me. Parking is included. The price and location were great. It's a safe area and within walking distance to food and attractions. The room was comfortable. My only complaint is being able to hear all the footsteps from the room above me.

Upon arriving at the inn at 1030PM (30 mins before the check-in cut off time) the gentleman in the office greeted us and although he looked intimidating, he was very nice and helpful. Check-in was quick, 5-7 mins. He gave us a parking pass with clear and simple instructions on what to do on check-out day. He even gave us a print out of the area and told us about some spots to check out and it emphasized how great of a location we were in. He even let us know some areas to stay away from. We tried our keys but the door light was red. I rushed back to the office because I wanted to be respectful of the office hours and the other guests that were in line. One in front and one behind. In the midst of him assisting a guest, he was attentive and politely told the guest that he was going to assist me quickly and reactivated our room key. Our room was very spacious and clean. The microwave, mini fridge and free parking was a HUGE WIN for our stay. Every day our room was cleaned and restocked with fresh towels and the basic toiletries. This was the first time we stayed in this style of hotel/inn (no lobby/closed hallways). We were skeptical at first but we actually felt really safe and there were no weird people hanging in, around or near the inn. Parking was always available and it was covered (Parking size reference: we rented a mid size SUV - Toyota Venza) With our experience, I feel like the price of our stay was great. We highly recommend this place and if we decide to come to SF again? We’re guaranteed to stay here again.

Castle Inn is good place to stay in if you are looking for an affordable and most of all safe place to stay. We stayed for 8 nights. The neighborhood you’re in is where mostly locals are and there are lots of stores nearby like Walgreens, Starbucks and restaurants. My 2 teens felt comfortable and the buses are near on all corners to go either the Fisherman’s Wharf and the Union Square and even outside the City. Castle Inn is in a better part of Broadway cause my relatives thought we were in a bad area. The room we were in, is a clean 2 Queen Beds and it was spacious that fitted our 1 luggage, 4 carry ons and 4 personal items. There’s a good working tv, coffee maker, a small fridge, microwave, iron and a hair dryer. Everything you need in a room and best of all, free parking. Just be mindful with the type of vehicle you rent due to small spaces. Lucky thing that our room was in the 1st floor too because I’m not sure if the elevator was working or we just didn’t know how to work it. Better to book direct as well because it’s more affordable. Overall, my family, 100% recommends Castle Inn and we will definitely go there again when we do visit SF.

Stayed for 3 days and 3 nights about a week ago and it was a wonderful experience. They accommodated our unexpected early arrival to the city, which I appreciated so much. The room was clean, the parking was super convenient, and the attendant that helped us check in was very friendly. This is definitely my first choice in hotels the next time my family stays in SF. Another plus, the hotel was very close to touristy spots, but far enough away where there wasn’t a lot of traffic

Great no frills hotel with quality service. Got a great room for the price we paid, and the rooms were especially clean. Loved that we were able to park, and in a convenient location by some great restaurants. My boyfriends car pulled in with a flat tire, and hotel staff were kind enough to help us change the spare right as we were checking out. They really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable for our weekend trip. Would definitely recommend this place if you need a safe place to stay in SF with parking. I’d definitely consider returning for my next SF excursion.

Great little place. Beds were so COMFORTABLE!! OMG!! Delicious! It was quiet and clean and well worth the money. The fabulous gentleman at the counter let us park our car in the lot as we had arrived early and we walked around the city until it was time for check in. GREAT PLACE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Stayed here for my trip to San Francisco, the rooms were very nice, especially the strong water pressure and hot water, which REALLY makes a difference. I found the Inn to be at a great location, lot of nices little places close by, the wharf is not a long walk away and I found buses close by that took me where I needed to go. On top of that, Damon the host who checked me in, was courteous and helped me with all my needs. All in all I would stay here again no doubt.

This hotel is located in San Francisco city center on. Broadway street and between Van Ness and Polk street. The location is very good. There is a lot of restaurants, supermarket nearby the hotel. The fisherman's wharf is 1 km from the hotel. Golden Gate is 5-6 km from the hotel. Room is large, clean and comfortable. There are microwave, TV, fridge and coffee maker in the room. Toilet is equipped with bathtub and shower. Air condition can be cool and heat. The noise of air condition is too loud once the fan running. Staff is helpful. Free parking space is sufficient. Recommend this hotel for all type of customer.

Really great staff, nice safe location and parking is included in the price. My only critique is that the beds were very soft. Some people love this, but I am used to a pretty stiff bed at home. We had a couple of things go wrong, but the staff made them right for us. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Nice room for the great price ... have stayed here on a couple of occasions. Great hotel parking and the management is wonderful. Good location to access different parts of the city with good restaurants nearby.

It's a great place, my husband and I love this place, we've been coming back here for years.Closte to the wharf and a lot of places to check out on Polk St. most are walking distance. . Free parking is a plus. clean parking as well. And the staffs in front are so friendly and really nice Damian is great,and the people cleaning the rooms are so friendly as well, the rooms are really clean. Highly recommend this place. And we'll definitely come back to this place.

Extremely comfortable room and bed. Super location. Great value. Safe to walk to nearby attractions like Fisherman’s Wharf and Chinatown. Close to Hyde street to catch a cable car. Best blackout curtains I’ve ever seen, and if you turn the fan on traffic sounds are a non issue. Highly recommend!

One of the nicer 2 star hotels I've stayed in. The room was in good shape, spacious, and had a nice bathroom. It was also minimally but nicely decorated. No weird out of place furniture. Good shower pressure. In a nice area and just off a bunch of restaurants, bars, and close to lots of bus lines. Walking distance to the bay! Felt like a very safe location.

The overall condition of the hotel was not up to par; there were torn spots in the carpet, the beds were uncomfortable, and there was limited natural light. Additionally, there was no breakfast available. On a positive note, I greatly appreciated the complimentary parking garage, the hotel's fantastic location, and the efficiency of the cleaning service.

Check in was very quick. Very simple hotel but it was clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the FREE covered parking was a plus. Felt safe while in the area.

What a great hotel for the value and location! From the moment we checked in, our front desk representative gave us a map and overview of the places to go with helpful tips on how to get around. The rooms are clean and equipped with a microwave and mini fridge. There is free parking on site. There aren't a lot of spaces but we didn't have trouble finding a spot the two nights we have been here. The hotel is walking distance to the Fisherman's wharf and so many other sites. The location feels quite safe as well. This is a hidden gem!
