Great local wine shop specializing in California wines (plus a small selection of Champagne and liquor). A good cross-section of wineries are represented from all of California's growing regions. And in the addition to the the usual California-grown grape varieties (chardonnay, cab, pinot, etc.) the shop carries a few options for lesser grown varieties like melon blanc. Prices seem fair with many sub-$20 options available, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They also offer tasting flights and wine by the glass on the weekends. Definitely worth a visit.

This wine shop is prime! They had a wide range of good collections of wine. One thing that I liked about this wine shop. You could taste the wine first before buying them. The staves will help you to choose a great wine. Also, they were friendly, and accommodating as well. The food from this shop was great as well.

Elegant and classy wine shop. Last Tuesday, I visited this wine shop. I got fascinated by the wines of this shop. It was really impressive. The taste of their wine was heavenly. I love this little wine shop. The staff are wonderfully nice and so helpful at picking out bottles in any price range. The location on 19th & Castro (next door to Spike's) is great, just enough off the beaten path to feel quaint, but easy to walk to. The shop is gorgeous and you would expect all of the wines to start at a high price point, but in fact they have several bottles in the $20 range. Many of the wines will be new to you, as the owners are always seeking out lesser known labels and often securing exclusive shipments. Little known tip: they offer tastings at the back of the store. How wonderful to taste wines in the middle of the Castro.

My favorite place for wine tasting in the Castro. Go on the weekends for their creative and varied wine flights, and enjoy one at the table in the back. It gets quite lively on weekend evenings with locals. They specialize in California wines and they also have a nice selection of Champagne, sparkling wine, and high-end spirits.

I'm from out of the area, but had the pleasure to get to know the owner of this shop. He is so thoughtful and kind that I honestly can't imagine getting my wine anywhere else while I'm in the Bay Area. I'll be going out of my way to get my wine from here in the future.

Great selection of California wine that rotates regularly so you're never bored. Knowledgeable and friendly staff can help you with anything. Tastings are a good deal and help you find new favorites. Fun and relaxed atmosphere, recent renovations really make it look nice, too.

Lovely wine shop with wines at all different prices points. Nice, small liquor selection that is well curated. Looks like they do wines by the glass or tastings but I didn't have time to check that out this time. I'll be back!

My go-to wine shop in the neighborhood - great selection of only California wines, including reasonably priced bottles for a weeknight or if you’re on a budget. Joseph & the team here are so helpful - and they do great weekend flights at their small tasting bar!
