Nice modern and trendy spot by Dolores park. They have some nice cocktails and American/ Asian fusion food. Their drinks and food are pretty tasty. We had to order through a QR code app. They’re high tech. Lots of young people there

I visited the resturant with my friend on Wed night. We tried to book a table a week in advance and it was impossible. We arrived at the resturant at 5PM and they already had a small line of people. If you get there at the opening at 5PM they will sit you. Its hack with this place :) The food that we have tried is all amazing. We have really enjoyed it. I would really suggest taking their fried fish, its really amazing and local. Poke was really nice and fresh I would highly recommend it. Drinks are not bad. I was hoping for more choices for wine. They only have like 8 choices of wine and that includes whites and reds. Tried their twist on old-fashioned and I was not a fan. Overall really good place that I would really recommend.

Wonderful and unique flavors all around! Highly recommend the shaved pig head, fried rice and fried cornish hen. Flavors were so addictive and our server was also energetic and friendly, which made our dinner extra enjoyable. We also tried their drinks - if you like strong drinks then you'll have a great time. Also tried their guava tonic (non-alcoholic), which was like a yummy fruity soda. Overall, I'm really glad I got a chance to check out this restaurant and can't wait to come back and try their desserts next time.

Somewhat of a “has been” hot spot in decline. Folks look miserable working there and nearly no hospitality at all, starting and ending at the reception which doesn’t even express greetings. Dishes were ok. All the meat dishes were so fatty that they pretty much uneatable. It’s a really loud restaurant with no acoustical planning whatsoever and the speakers hover right over the tables like lights but they just ruin the conversational experience. We liked it 5 years ago. Didn’t enjoy it this past time in august 2023 at all. Even the wine list is unappealing with no affordable options and the they tag 25% on top of the bill, plus tax, while the service doesn’t deserve it all. Which is why in North America we have voluntary tipping so it encourages better performance. Not to be found here not on this day with us anyway. Wishing you luck dear restaurant, but the culture seems a little toxic and inhospitable.

Great setting and vibe, especially loved the rooftop, and service was wonderful. Food came out super quick but nothing to rave about. Highlight was the early girl tomato salad, loved the textures (especially the added crunch from the crispy beans), was super light and refreshing.

Love the space. Our server was extremely attentive to our dietary restrictions. Menu was really fun and creative- don’t go here for healthy options though! And if you’re in a large group make sure you understand their rules- they will not downsize your reservation’s financial commitment if someone cancels, for parties over eight I think it was. Also gets a bit loud.

This is my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. I whole heartedly recommend this place to my family and friends for the delicious food and aloha vibes. My mom and I have been going here for our birthdays since 2018. The drinks and bites here are delicious. They have amazing wines and also non-alcoholic drinks. My favorite things to eat here are the steamed buns, duck liver mousse, any of their salads, and the baked hawaii . Most importantly I love their culture and commitment to their values and equity. It means a lot for folks like me in the food industry - it’s inspiring me to stage their to experience their values and operations in action! They have a beautiful open kitchen that is neat/organized and operates with so much flow. There are parking garages across the street for convenience. I’ll be coming back here for life and also recommend their other restaurant good good culture club. Please do yourself a favor and dine here - bring your friends and family and have a beautiful time.

Overall, a good but expensive experience. For regular humans, worth doing once on a special occasion. The oren ishii and the guava tonic were excellent. The former was strong. The duck liver mousse and steam bun are worth getting The salad on the shaved pig head was wonderful but the actual pig head has no specific flavor or taste Fried rice is solid but too dry by itself. They don’t have chili sauce or any other way to make it more palatable. Swordfish Katsu is good and crispy. Caper sauce is a little too intense but can be skipped. Banana cream tart was underwhelming so I’d skip that as well.

One outstanding dish followed another, with wonderful service. Very creative cooking with some unusual combinations that work unusually well. As a celiac sufferer I ate very well, and I was delighted to even have a dessert I could eat. The music was far too loud, making it difficult to converse with my fellow diners.

An exciting experience at this restaurant with very unique cocktails and food, some of the dishes that I had were fantastic and had so much flavor. Service was quick and attentive to details and both bartenders and servers were knowledgeable. I recommend this spot for celebrations or a casual night out. The presentation of the dishes was spot on and from the main course to the cocktails to the dessert will make you want to come back!

One of the top rated restaurants in San Francisco, and it doesn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is cool vibe with a fun touch. It’s perfect for a night out with friends or a casual date. And, the food, well that’s what we are here for. Our server convinced us to try the 10 course premix fixe option. And, I am glad she did. It was a taste journey. I’d say this is moderately pricey restaurant. But, treat yourself. It won’t break the budget and you’ll love it.

When I saw the size of my poke appetizer I sighed. $11 for a lil cracker and cat food-sized pieces of tuna. Fortunately our other dishes were actually pretty generous. My curry had a good amount of lamb and my wife's fish was more than she could finish. We even took home half the dessert. Everything, including the poke, was delicious. Sitting at the bar I noticed that none of the $16 drinks had garnish. When you are going through that much trouble to make great drinks, which ours were, I think proper, thoughtful garnish is needed. Service was very good and the space is very nice.

We had a fun birthday celebration! They accommodated our schedule time last minute. Every bite was amazing. The kimchi fried rice was yummy. The swordfish katsu was light & the sauce was delish! The poke on the seaweed cracker was a group favorite!

The server talked really fast and with the loud music, I had asked him to repeat couple of times. Foods were great! So lucky we had a last minute reservation for 5 today. My elderly mother enjoyed her foods as well. Pics of our orders plus the 3 appz we had. We walked out stuffed & satisfied.

They update menu every once in a while. But when I dined in recently, I really enjoyed the poppyseed steam bun, petrale sole (especially the broth🥹). I also ordered non-alcohol drink (everything nice?) but I was just ok for me. Overall really liked the food

Had really high hopes for Liholiho YC since it came so highly recommended by friends and is supposed to be an iconic SF spot, but ultimately it fell short. While the food tasted good, nothing about it blew my mind, and a lot of the dishes were actually underwhelming. Service was borderline rude - knocking my review down to 3 stars. The best course by far was dessert, so I’d recommend skipping dinner and just coming here for the baked hawaiian, which was delicious. For starters, the duck liver mousse was pretty good, but the poke was underseasoned. Delicata squash dish was very yummy and probably my favorite savory dish. Kimchi fried rice was also bland. Other dishes we ordered were decent but unmemorable. The swordfish katsu reminded me of a regular fish and chips dish, the lamb rendang was presented nicely but left something to be desired. Pork chop was pretty good but one dimensional. Finally, the service. I’m not usually a stickler for service, but when I’m paying $30-40 for a main and a 20% mandatory tip, I’d expect the server to be friendly at the very least. Our server was sour-faced and seemed annoyed to be serving us, and did not make us feel excited about the dishes at all. It was really disappointing and at times was borderline rude.

An amazing evening from the moment we walked in, warm greetings from the Liholiho Yacht Club Family … it was like ‘coming back home’! So great that one of my SF fave has finally reopened 😍 so many sexy & gorgeous cocktails & a wonderful selection of 🍷 loved everything. The standouts - the Poppy Seed Bun with Spam is as wonderful as I remembered,, the fried Cornish hen crispy skin is perfect & greaseless & tried to savored the fried oysters and it was soo good .. gone in 2 big bites

Absolutely excellent experience as always. All contactless menu and payment. Each outdoor seating area has a very warm heater. The food is always out of this world! The cocktails and drinks are amazing. And we even got extra desserts that were kindly added to our order! Everything that we had was perfect. I’ll continue to come back here and recommend it to friends!

I had a wonderful experience at Liholiho. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food was amazing! I had the shaved pig head which could have been a meal in itself. There was a lot going on in that dish, regarding both flavor and texture. I followed that with the sole which was sublime. 👍👍

First time here, wasn't sure what to expect. The food was really good. My hubby had the Korean short ribs and I had the tuna poké and a pork bun. We shared some hurricane rice. The dessert was really really good.

Most people don't understand why Liholiho restaurant is so amazing. We had the great fortune of being graced with tender Korean short ribs, flavourful cabbage, and corn fit for a king. The dinner initially presented more questions than answers. Was disappointed that there was no water or yachts, but they somehow found some fish to fry, which disrupted the flow of the night. We thought we were on still water because the stuffed wings were arrrriiight, but this belied the unchartered waters of a rather baked Hawaii. Our friend dirty Dennis felt nautical and porked tf out. To cope, we ended up chasing the mocktails with some water found in the wata closet. Turns out, if you're allergic to bad food, you'll have no reactions here.

Went there last week with a few friends. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive and seem to work as a team. This place stays busy for sure. The Tuna Poke tasted nice but serving size could have been a little larger. Poppyseed Steam Bun was pretty good but poppyseeds took over the flavor (a little less poppyseeds) and masked the taste of this appetizer. Spam Steak was ok (I like Spam) but needed possibly a heavier Teriyaki Flavor since that is what they were going for I think. The real hits of the evening were Crispy Petrale Sole (Really Good), 5 Dot Cross Cut Short Ribs, Pork Belly and Hurricane Rice. Ended with Strawberry Sorbet, Toasted Meringue desert.

Excellent small plates menu with many rum drinks. Asian/Pacific/Tropical flavors predominate on the food menu. Ordering is oddly through the Toast App, but the food arrives quickly. The space is airy and open, and the only mark against it really is that it is a tad expensive.
