Amazing drinks + great bar atmosphere! Get the “I’ve Grown to Love Life Too Much” - it is my favorite so far and love the unique side-by-side drink pairing. Also the bar is dog-friendly! Will definitely come back and also want to check out the coffee shop during the daytime!

This place was the most wonderful bar. Stunning location with an exceptionally friendly staff. The customers were lovely too. We were there to raise a toast in remembrance of my son Shane. We stayed all night enjoying the most amazing private room. Definitely come here for the fabulously delicious cocktails and delectable snacks. We will absolutely return!

Cafe by day, with coffee, tea, cocoa and a splattering of some cocktail options. Into the night, craft cocktails with some light snack options. Part of the Long Now Foundation, a nonprofit focused on long term thinking. A densely interesting, quality public space.

While visiting San Francisco, we searched diligently for a cozy bar with a focus on unique and quality drinks. I was thrilled to have found this place. It checked every box. Fantastic bartenders, great vibes, and an amazing selection of unique cocktails that were all absolutely delicious. We went twice in our few days there and I will definitely be back.

The Interval at Long Now is not your typical bar - it's a truly unique and innovative project that combines history, science, and technology to create a one-of-a-kind experience. The project is part of the Long Now Foundation, which is dedicated to fostering long-term thinking and encouraging people to consider the future in their daily lives. The bar itself is beautiful and welcoming, with a cozy atmosphere and a great selection of drinks. But what really sets The Interval apart is the range of events and talks they host, featuring speakers and experts from a wide variety of fields. These events are always thought-provoking and inspiring, encouraging visitors to consider big ideas and challenging them to think in new ways. But The Interval is more than just a bar and events space - they are actively working on a number of projects aimed at improving the future. One of their most exciting initiatives is the Clock of the Long Now, a mechanical clock designed to keep accurate time for 10,000 years. This incredible project is a testament to the foundation's commitment to long-term thinking and the importance of considering the future in our daily lives. I highly recommend The Interval at Long Now to anyone looking for a truly unique and inspiring experience. The combination of history, science, and technology is truly remarkable, and the foundation's commitment to improving the future is something we can all learn from. Don't miss out on this incredible project!

If you’re one of those people who are prone to deep thoughts when you’ve had a drink then OH BOY is this place going to be up your alley. The Interval is a cocktail bar / cafe situated within the headquarters of the Long Now Foundation, an organization devoted to the idea that we would do well as a species if we thought about our actions - past, present, and future - in greater timescales. I’m not going to pretend I know all the details, but what I do know is the cocktails are outstanding (and appropriately, well thought out), the staff is highly skilled (see previous), and the atmosphere is super cool and admittedly inspiring. Maybe we could all afford to spend a little more time thinking… even while we spend a little time drinking.

My favorite spot to indulged myself to yummy Ginger Hot Tea. Always enjoyed my time in this library+museum atmosphere. I bring friends to join me this time and they enjoyed their latte and cappuccino. I did try their impressive cocktails creations and it’s amazing as well. Highly recommended!

The fantastic journey to start SF nightlife for the first time at a cocktail bar. Not just any bar but a "craft cocktail bar". The place is cozy yet dazzling, the idea for time intervals and converted into a place to a timeless drinking place with your special someone or bunch of friends then this is it. This place is unique and eclectic with a academia style place. Definitely coming back here again, especially during day time!

Last night we were here as an after party(there was a Persian jazz concert nearby) they were so friendly and tolerated our noisy crowd. Thank you guys. Love the ambiance and the staff.

Though this exhibit is small, it is breathtakingly gorgeous inside. I went maybe an hour before closing and there was hardly any people there, so we got to take our time taking photos. Workers there were really nice and even took some photos of us!

Really great cocktails! It would be nice if the outdoor seating had heaters. Also, the door isn't wide enough for people to exit, enter, and check vaccination cards which is confusing - and the bouncer certainly didn't help. However, the bartenders are so nice, knowledgeable, and great at their jobs!

After walking around the Fisherman's Wharf and Ghirardelli Square we found this on Google Maps and decided to head there. Nice little bar with a selection for teas, coffees and cocktails. They also served some small bites. Nice place to relax and grab a drink or two.

Sipping your cocktail at the bar, The Interval's decor is designed to keep your gaze drifting upwards. From the ever-changing abstract art on the wall in front of you, to the flasks full of liquor on the ceiling- you will never run out of things to look at. Each cocktail has a story attached. Although pricy, definitely a treat nonetheless. My favorites were their take on the Oaxacan Old Fashioned (delicious with the chocolate bitters touch), and the Abejita - the cynar truly sings in this cocktail. Will most definitely be returning for an occasion.

Had a wonderful experience grabbing cocktails and tea here pre-pandemic, so I was thrilled to see they are still going strong today. We visited on a Sunday about 20 minutes after opening and were surprised to see a line already out the door. Luckily not too long of a wait to get in. I ordered four ways to play and my friend ordered hacker club. We grabbed a couple seats at the semicircular table near the orrery, which depicts the solar system and planetary rotations. They also have some outdoor seating, though it didn't look like there were any heat lamps. We later ordered the green tea and three word title. The cocktails were delicious and they gave big portions of tea! Unique ambiance surrounded by scientific instruments and the beautiful spiral staircase and bookshelves. Will definitely be back!

The night we went was quiet which was perfect for a girlfriend catch-up. The cocktails were beautiful to look at and very enjoyable going down. I love the way they do the ice cubes. It's art in a glass 🥃 The lighting and decor is warm and sexy. They were extremely careful about COVID which was appreciated.

Great little big space to hang out in and have a good drink. Must try their sardines with chips! The Asimov's Crater is also an interesting (and picturesque) cocktail. 😁

The cocktails were phenomenal, well balanced, great mix and very delicious. Unfortunately, the bar is really busy and it’s kinda small so you end up waiting for a long time to get a cocktail. They also serve coffees, but I didn’t have the opportunity to try. So far won the best cocktails I had in the Bay Area

Nice little Bar. Liquids hanging from the ceiling which looks fun. Drinks are good, staff is friendly, location is nice. Don’t understand the apparent „hype“ here though. Its a nice, quirky little bar, period.

One of my favorite bars in SF for hanging out with friends and chilling. People working here are really nice too. Great cocktails and vibes. Also check the beer that I got in the photo, it was soo good + don't forget reading the menu 💙
