The waitress at the restaurant is rude/ almost as if wanting to scold for coming to your place. The momos were also extremely small. Would not recommend the place.

Absolutely excellent! Probably the best vegetarian food I’ve ever had in my life. Everything we had was amazing. Cannot wait to come back and try more. Service was good, however they receive 4 out of 5 for service since they were unwilling to help us seat all 8 of us together, even though it was not busy. Extra napkins would be nice.

Honestly had an awesome time here grabbing dinner as a vegetarian. Actually, the entire menu is vegan except for a few options, which is insane. The flavors are amazing and each dish that’s usually made with meat are created with imitations that are genuinely better in taste and texture. I’m glad I stopped in for dinner and would love to come again if I’m ever in the area. If you’re a vegetarian or vegan who is looking for Chinese food, this is the place to go in SF!

Worst vegan Chinese food I have ever had. The reviews said the dumplings were good so we tried both steamed and fried dumpling. It was not only tasteless but also small in size. The stir fry protein and vegetables were disgusting. We were hungry and ate some. The tea tasted like a chlorine and smells like a bleach. The server was rude and throwing dishes here and there. I wouldn’t go here if you want tasty meal and good service. Flushed $45 down the toilet.

We came in stressed and disheveled after biking through SF all day and not being able to find anything to eat. This was at 8:00, after Enjoy Vegetarian was already closed. Out of pure luck, the lady who worked there saw us in our distressed state and took pity on us, let us in, and allowed us to order even though the kitchen was pretty much closed. Staff was extremely kind to us, and the food was not only delicious, but was reasonably priced. I couldn’t believe that all of it was vegetarian, it was an amazing experience. Will be going back.

I give this place 5 stars and am will to argue whoever gives anything lower than that. As far as vegetarian food goes, this is it. The Chinese have been perfecting this type of cuisine for hundreds of years and this place is a living demonstration how good it can be. Everything on the menu is vegetarian but most of the dishes mimic the taste and texture of some kind of meat. Such as prawn, BBQ pork, red braised beef, ducks, and others. Ps, back story being, the Chinese monks used to be rich and powerful, and therefore cooks worked really hard to serve them food that taste like meat but won’t break the taboos. This may not sound as hard, but trust me, it’s very difficult to make different texture with tofu, try it and you’ll see what I mean.

Subpar service but the food is decent. I recommend the noodles and egg plants & beans. Very flavorful and not that oily. The sweet and sour tofu, samosas, and duck were ok.

One of my fave vegetarian restaurants in sf! This was my first time eating at this location and had such a great experience. I came in on a Sunday night and found parking a few blocks away, plenty of street parking available and the restaurant wasn't busy. I loved how cozy the ambiance inside was and it was very clean. We ordered Veggie chicken chowmein(you can't go wrong with any of their chowmein dishes), Mongolian beef, drumsticks, and sea bass with eggplant, which all were 10/10. Note: they only serve soda for drinks and do not have a desert menu.

If you are vegan/vegetarian this is heaven. An amazing variety on their menu and it tastes so good. I really love the food there. In one week in San Francisco I ate there 4 times. It’s my favorite place.

After multiple visits, I have very few complaints about this restaurant. The food is delicious, fresh, and fast. The only problems are that the menu is too big! So many options! And sometimes the wait staff can be a little slow when dining in, but the food comes out very quick (and hot) once you order. A good place for delivery or take out but the dining room does have cute decorations. Also it's all vegan except like one or two things which are clearly labeled on the menu ☺️ The wontons were very meh but the sesame balls are incredible and I highly recommend 73. Veggie Chicken Chow Mein w/ Black Pepper but with the udon noodles. Some of my favorite noodles I've ever had! 🍜 Edit: the string green beans with veg beef, #38, are amazing too!

Tried the twice cooked “pork”, was super yummy and actually a bit spicy. Quick service and prices are reasonable for the portions.

This was my second visit and the food was just good as it was the first time. The restaurant itself is pretty no frills, and doesn't really have a wow factor in terms of decor and ambience. However, this is compensated for by the food. It tastes very authentic and doesn't lack in flavour or heat. The portions are quite large and this is reflected in the price. Ideally the portions could be smaller and the price lower as when you look at the menu you really want to try everything. The kung pao chicken has a good kick to it and the lettuce wrap is full of flavour. I tried won ton soup and it was nice but I perhaps wouldn't have it if you wanted something bursting of flavour. Once again, thank you for the good food. 👍

You won’t regret eating there! The food is perfect and nearly everything on the menu is vegan. The portions were big for the price and every ingredient (vegetables, tofu, vegan meat) had the perfect amount in the dish. Try the dumplings as appetizer and drink some tea. I highly recommend this restaurant if you visit San Francisco even if you are not vegan.

We got the Kung Pao Chicken and Chow Mein with BBQ Pork and Ham. The Kung Pao had a weird aftertaste compared to other places but the Chow Mein was great. The place isn’t anything fancy and the service was really quick but the servers themselves are quite busy. Definitely recommend! Also good to note that this place doesn’t cook with onion and garlic and the tea offered at the beginning is $1 per person (but super yummy).

Tried Enjoy Vegetarian this past week for the first time. Taste was good, decent options. Reminded us a bit of a restaurant in LA called Happy Family, but one big difference is the value for the cost. NOT for large groups. Eight of us went, of whom four were kids and left not even close to full. Very small portion sizes. We spent $120 and basically had saucer size sample plates. Would have had to spend triple to be full. Ridiculous. Most of it is only veggies so not sure why there are not larger portions or all you can eat like the place in LA. Would be willing to pay a bit more for all you can eat. Might be ok with a smaller group like 2 or 3. If not, save your money and go somewhere where you get more bang for your buck.

I normally don’t give a poor review, but these people deserve one from me. Firstly, the food was excellent, barring the fact that the portions were not great for the price. What irked me was the service. The lady here had no politeness or inclination for customer service. She rushed us into placing the order and we did not know that steamed was not included with the entree (this itself is atrocious for the price). The waitress was very annoyed that we wanted a side order of the steamed rice for which we were fine with paying the extra charges. She did not serve us a drink or bother to check if we needed anything and we were the only family of 3 dining there. She was just rushing us to eat faster and leave. The waitress was keen shutting the restaurant and leaving. While the food is great, I can’t believe that they can actually run a restaurant with this attitude towards customers.

A regular spot we go to often. It is on the side street of a trendy street so you may need to find it through Maps. I never had a complaint about the dishes and what gets my five stars is that it is very affordable! It may not be for everyone, but if good food and price matter then I recommend checking this place out.

The staff were kind enough to fit us in right before closing time — we loved our takeaway order, and having a whole vegan/vegetarian menu made it really fun for us to choose some delicious food. My aubergine and tofu satay was really warm and tasty, and we really appreciated being given both forks and chopsticks in our bag. Special mention definitely goes to the gorgeous sesame dumplings that we were given as a complimentary snack: the paste inside was perfection! Huge thanks and hope to be back :)

Wanted to love this place because food was good vegetarian food. Customer service sucked though. Complained and wouldn't give but 1 pack of soy sauce on a 40$ meal for 2 people. The nerve. Lost what could've been a repeat Customer on that alone. Overpriced.

Their food is exquisite and the prices are good. The service is excellent and it's in Chinatown and authentic. I've eaten here several times and I am delighted to eat at Enjoy Vegetarian.

Love love love the food at Enjoy! I am not a vegetarian, but I do like vegetarian food, especially at outstanding Chinese places that rival their omnivorous counterparts in flavor. Appetizers here are excellent: the drumsticks and fried tofu are our favorites, but the sticky rice was surprisingly good too. We have tried a few of the entrées and enjoyed them all, in particular the lamb, tofu, and pumpkin in satay sauce, and we are looking forward to trying even more off the menu.

The food is good and so are the portions. I love that this place is purely vegetarian which is hard to find with Chinese food. The waitress/owner could have been a bit friendlier and warmer though. I was afraid to even ask her for anything.

  • 5/5 Wilson T. 1 year ago on Google
Had sweet and sour “soy chicken” and white rice from here for lunch, the prices are very reasonable and the flavors are very good. Some of the bites I forgot it was vegetarian food, i would definitely come Back and try some more dishes. Especially for the financial district the prices are very inexpensive and the food is pretty healthy!

Delicious vegan food in Chinatown, SF, good service and the kitchen is open for all to see, which is a good thing. As an ethical vegan, loved the signs on the door. Highly recommended. Parking was hard, though.

  • 5/5 thtn78 2 years ago on Google
We had the deep fried tofu, steamed vegan dumplings, and Mongolian (imitation) beef entree. Everything was exquisite, however my personal favorite of the lot was hands down the steamed dumplings with imitation meat filling. I wonder if there will ever be a vegan HaCao or Shumai dish in near future 🙏

Came here for lunch while they have their Lunch Specials menu (I think everything is $12.99). Each comes with and egg roll and your choice of brown or white rice, unless you order a rice or noodles dish. Hot tea is $1 per person. My party each ordered different dishes to share. Everything was delicious! Service was also good and they accept credit card. If only SF improved their parking situation...

Had a vegan, that is plant based, “shark fin soup” (the only time I would ever eat shark fin soup). Great food. Love the philosophy of no meat. Service is a bit rushed/crude but it’s ok given how good the food is!

  • 5/5 Aaronray A. 2 years ago on Google
I was very surprised to taste dishes that are normally non-vegetarian, and how these vegetarian equal are as much delicious and tasty. I will come back to try the other dishes. This place would be a good low key staple for casual or quick lunch or dinner.

The only reason I visit here is food, service is horrible, she never say thank you or present the dish. If you ask her anything beyond the menu you’ll get a look 👀. Just ignore the service and enjoy the food.

  • 5/5 Julio A. 2 years ago on Google
I am vegan and came in here hoping for some vegan options and it turns out there are a lot. All very delicious. I had the special fried rice, general tso, and spring rolls. Make sure you get here for their lunch special.

  • 5/5 Jonny S. 2 years ago on Google
As non-meat eaters this was such a great find as we could eat everything on the menu and the only problem was choosing what to order as there's so much choice! Despite reading some negative reviews about experiences of poor service, both our servers were lovely and very helpful. Great for veggies, vegans and those who keep Kosher and Halal.

Had mixed experiences here. I like some of their rolls namely the peacock and their soup, though once it was a mushy mess, I'm willing to go back. The service here is really outstanding and so is the ambiance. Worth a try. It is pricy and don't try to show up ten minutes before closing or you'll get turned away.

One of my fave vegan spots in the US. Thankfully my wife and I can enjoy it here in Houston. They have amazing spring rolls (both fresh and golden). The rest of their meals are great too.

This place is awesome. I was skeptical at first because it's all vegan chinese but I'm hooked. Fried rice, "lamb", fried crispy chicken wings, and pork. Very very good. Also try the hot ginger and date tea.

We went today during COVID. The restaurant is really clean. We ordered a ton of food. The fried wontons and dumplings 🥟 are amazing. I am vegetarian and love Chinese food but avoid it because I’m never quite sure if my dish is fully meatless. We also had the vermicelli noodles which were great too.

  • 5/5 savagefamily0220 4 years ago on Google
The sweet and sour chicken is amazing. All the dishes are cruelty free. And the staff are super helpful and friendly. We came at the end of lunchtime with a party of 6 and they happily accommodated us. Then the waitress helped us figure out how much we all owed. When the amount of cash we had was more than the bill (which included 18% gratuity) she attempted to give the "extra" tip back to us, which we insisted she keep. Will definitely be going back and bringing friends and family!

Great vegan sushi that doesn't taste like vegan sushi! Both my omnivore friend and I loved it! Parking is tough and the wait is long, highly suggest using the wait list to avoid and hour long wait. It is a very popular restaurant so we didn't mind the wait, they work fast to get you seated.

  • 3/5 Edward M. 3 years ago on Google
I don't usually like sushi and I was skeptical, but this was great sushi and they have more than just sushi. Can't believe I missed out on this for all these years of living here. Not only was the food tasty, but also creative and entertains! I loved the surprise virgin cocktail soda!

Honestly a top spot, must try for amazing Chinese food in San Francisco. All of the items are listed as things such as “Mongolian beef” but it’s all 100% vegan. I actually like their sesame chicken better than regular kinds as this is crispy and flavorful, and doesn’t have veins like real chicken sometimes has. You have to try this place!! It’s for EVERYONE, all ages and backgrounds will love it, I promise

Huge vegetarian selection with a pretty good imitation of meat textures. I had Mongolian beef and house chow mein with faux pork. I liked both, but thought they could improve their flavoring of both. Maybe next time I will request they make it spicier. Great texture, kind of average flavor wise. I was promptly seated and served. I will return and would recommend.
