Terrible
sales
team:
very
pushy,
and
rude.
TLDR:
Equinox
stole
from
me
3
PT
sessions
and
“forgot”
to
give
me
a
$200
referral
bonus.
Allow
me
to
talk
about
the
time
a
sales
representative
tried
to
convince
me
to
re-subscribe
to
the
gym.
But
first,
the
two
episodes
that
made
me
cancel
my
membership
the
first
time.
Episode
1.
Sales
representative
suggested
me
to
book
classes
with
a
personal
trainer,
she
called
her
“the
best
in
the
gym”.
Trainer
was
never
available
during
weekends
(I
had
explicitly
requested
to
work
with
someone
that
could
train
S/Su).
Trainer
did
not
show
up
to
3
sessions,
but
registered
the
sessions
as
taken
on
the
system;
then
left
to
work
at
a
different
gym.
This
costed
me
~$300
I
was
so
upset
I
put
in
my
30
days
cancellation
notice.
Episode
2.
During
my
30
days
cancellation
period
(still
a
paying
member),
a
friend
of
mine
became
a
new
member
using
me
as
a
referral.
She
signed
up
with
the
same
salesperson
as
I
did.I
was
supposed
to
receive
a
$200
referral
bonus.
I
never
did.
When
I
was
conctacted
by
the
salesperson
to
join
again,
I
told
her
about
the
two
issues.
I
said
that
I
could
have
considered
joining
again
AFTER
taking
the
3
PT
sessions
that
were
stolen
from
me,
and
being
granted
the
$200
referral
bonus
that
the
salesperson
“forgot”
to
give
me.
The
salesperson
answered
with
an
offensive
and
rambling
email,
pretty
much
saying
that
it
was
my
fault
and
I
could
go
to
hell.
She
told
me
that
I
could
have
gotten
the
3
sessions
and
the
$200
bonus
ONLY
after
signing
up
for
another
year
(which
is
like
$2.5+).
She
added
as
well
that
she
was
not
surprised
about
the
behavior
of
the
trainer,
which
was
not
at
Equinox
anymore
“for
very
clear
reasons”
(but
was
she
not
supposed
to
be
the
best?).
I
forwarded
her
reply
to
the
head
of
the
sales
team,
who
NEVER
got
back
to
me.
