The venue was decent but somewhat small… alright for crowds of 100 or less. Didn’t get to try the pizza but I heard it was good. All of the staff was really nice except for the manager or owner. I was put on the guest list and I have been going to a lot of the shows and working at them with a lot of these guys since about 2006. I was told I could put my backpack in the room the headliners were keeping their stuff as well as hanging out. I was in the process of switching hotels and wound up going to the show last minute after I was told I was confirmed. Went out to get sandwiches for myself and a friend, after I got back I was told the owner started freaking out about a backpack being in a corner when it realistically wasn’t in anybody’s way. It was also sad that someone wound up losing their backpack that night… So I put it next to a garbage can by the merch table since I’ve been to dozens of these shows with these people and I know I can trust them. Later on in the night the guy who was in charge was just trying to rush everybody out of the door when nobody was even close to being completely packed up. He actually watch the artists out of the venue when we were still out there and was extremely rude. He killed the whole entire vibe and Manny other people would have handled that situation a lot differently… All of us remained polite and in character though. As a booking agent I would not recommend using this venue as a rental if you could find another spot unless their management improves. Other than that, it was a pretty cool spot… The bartender was cool and so was all of the security. Management… Who was only one guy, was extremely unpleasant to deal with and a complete buzz killer.

I was having a great time and all of a sudden the security guard came and walked me outside. He said I can’t go back in because I made somebody uncomfortable. It’s a dance club some people may not like the way you dance because you dance better than them or a different style. I feel uncomfortable often because the cramped space I have to get through people to find an open spot to dance. Should I report every girl and guy that got in my way? I was told by Joe (security guard ) that if anyone says a person feels uncomfortable around you you’re immediately out. I’m extremely respectful to all women and men and ensure that all dancing is consensual. There is NO way I offended anyone! Ruined my night! I’m really disappointed in the process where they just believe whoever without hearing the other person’s side.

Excellent venue Pros big lay out lots of rooms and places to watch the show many options. Huge variety of music and events Bands, DJs, huge acts, burlesque they have offerings for every taste. Food there's a pizza joint connected with a good variety of food and snacks. CONS STAIRS there's some very steep stairs on both sides of the main stage. As well as the main entrance of the second venue. Makes it difficult to navigate in big crowds or if you're differently able. Harm reduction they used to have a large harm reduction presence. Not any more. Many events are all ages so it was a huge comfort to have harm reduction available. Especially at EDM events.

So stoked it’s pride was super fun! However events like death guide were very raunchy. Very shady club go-ers especially at Death Guild. The lady employee working death guide at the podium after you enter the club was disrespectful and very verbally aggressive. I didn’t stay long after that encounter with her. She kinda ruined the night for my friend and me. I’ve been made fun of for coming here and everyone I know doesn’t have a favorable opinion of this place. There are definitely better clubs nearby.

Worst Club I’ve ever been. Paid $25 for entry and after 5 minutes we got kicked out cause the bar keeper sold us a beer (for $8) and one bouncer realized that we weren’t allowed to drink it since we are 19. nice job, nice crew, nice ambiente. Definitely will come back next weekend!

Fun little place. Bartender staff was awesome. Good sounding venue. Pizza was OK, but basically, bar pizza for when hungry. The staff was nice. Area is a little tough. Just be careful of your surroundings, and you'll be alright.

It was fun! Bathrooms are pretty bad but I think that’s expected when you go clubbing. Pizza place attached is pretty good. But I got kicked out for throwing out a white claw in the trash next to the venue. Someone had thrown it on the floor next to me when I went to take a breather and I went back to throw it out then party some more but since I wasn’t 21 and holding the empty crushed can (not even drinking it) they crossed out my stamp. Didn’t even let me explain myself. Felt like I wasted my money. The bouncer was still nice about it and I didn’t raise a stink because they probably have to deal with a lot of rude people.

Two level venue with 4 bars. Large dance floor downstairs with stage, upstairs lounge and bar, second dance floor upstairs, bottle service style seating, and an area overlooking the larger dance floor. Typically they play different music on the large dance floor vs the smaller one. Typically mostly straight club for 18+. But they do host gay parties. Ground floor is an attached pizza restaurant.

Strict with alcohol. I was at an 18+ event with my daughter last night. We were asked to leave when she was caught taking a sip of my drink. 5 stars because every employee tried to give me a warning they were watching her. She is living in San Francisco for a year of service. I am from NC visiting for her birthday. It was her first time at a club and her first time being asked to leave a club. We all have jobs to do and they were serious about doing theirs. Cool, small club. Great drinks. 💯

This club has full of excitement. Here, I found my first love, and it's so magical. The music here is very lively, and the crews are very energetic. It is a huge club that can accommodate hundreds of people. And I believe that this club turns into an event place for any occasion in the morning. Highly recommended!

My first experience at DNA was the So Stoked pride. And it did not disappoint. My second was normal so stoked and the vibe was much more chill but never missed a beat for music or drinks or food. The coat check person was super accommodating, and the drinks are delicious. And that's before you get your hands on some of the pizza! All around excellent venue.

All the staff was very friendly. Sound system for the concert was good. The slices of pizza were good, and they had several options (a little pricey, but that's life in the big city). The concert ticket was very fairly priced. I would go again next time there is a show I want to see.

Music is constantly too low, I can hear people’s conversations and it’s so irritating. I saw on dj who was finally playing loud get reprimanded. Is this a club or library. Other clubs like f8 keep it bumping and can feel into the next room. Music needs to be louder and djs shouldn’t be told to put music down especially when the entire dance floor is full- I understand some many complain but they should be told to go to quieter rooms which you have many of

Nice club with two main music rooms and a quieter pizza place. Regularly scheduled events, Theme nights, concerts, and special events, most of which are 18+ (instead of 21+) so if you've got younger friends just joining the scene it's a good intro. Reasonable staff who take safety seriously.

Hands down one of the best nightclubs in san francisco. Friendly and accepting atmosphere with great music and good drinks! Great place to make friends and hangout. Prices are fair the bar is a little pricey but not unreasonable. Has 2 dance floors downstairs and upstairs. Also has 2 bars and plenty of places to sit including outdoor seating. Theres a cafe with good food, the pizza and onion rings are the best i recomend those. The staff does a great job at keeping the place clean helping guests and keeping out the riff-raff.

PLEASE BEWARE OF VENUE'S SECURITY AND OVERCROWDING! Due to management's greed hosting simultaneous events, we were put into a cramped section away from the main stage. It was immensely overpopulated due to the size of the room but with well over 100 people. The entry and exit path was a cramped narrow stairwell that got filled with people. In the event of an emergency people would have been trampled and tumbling down attempting to exit, The other fire exit was blocked off because of them hosting another event. This negligence, In combination with an overpopulated room with intoxicated and drug-using individuals, poses serious safety risks and should be addressed as potentially criminal. In fact blocking off a fire exit is illegal. Mosh pit and fight happened that night. I'm so thankfull to have gotten out of there in time. But the lack of foresight or care to do this is disgusting. On a previous visit When I entered the pizza parlor from the club, a security guard, lacking visible identification, accused me of not having a ticket and forcibly grabbed me. Despite spending around 15 minutes inside, when I reached the pickup area, a man from a group of casually dressed individuals approached me. Assuming it was an unnecessary conversation, I attempted to move past him, but he grabbed me, questioning my ticket despite my visible presence. This incident, along with the security staff's overall lack of awareness, left me feeling harassed and frustrated.

Good food 🤘, okay draft beer selection 🙄, exceptional hot boy selection 💯, on both sides of the counter. No seriously, the staff here is like a Sean Cody casting call. And I'm okay with that. 👍

I have been coming here for years now, and as one of the last independent venues in town, I think it's one of SF's treasures. The Monday night goth/industrial night is one of the most welcoming club environments I've been in anywhere; people look out for each other. Good drinks and decent food help, but the people are what make this place worth coming to.

Since I’m 20 this is one of the few clubs I can get into because they have a lot of 18+ events. I’ve been there three times and gone to the different rooms and it’s so fun! I love love love the pop music video nights above DNA. The events in the main room are super cool to. Feels like a rave lol. Its a super comfortable environment and like no one is judgemental. I would definitely recommend going here! They also sell pizza and food downstairs which is great! Be aware the water is $4 🥲 only downside

Came here on 1/13/24. Staff didn’t let us know that the venue was divided into two separate concerts. We payed 25$ each to enter within 15 min we went back to the front to see if we could get our money back because there was only like 15 people there and we wanted to go next door and they refused, even tho they are owned by the same people. Pretty much stayed there for an hour and left, we felt like we got robbed. I’ve have a good experience in the past but this one for sure was the worst. If I wanted to party in a 1000 square feet I would have stayed home.

One of the main clubs in SF for dubstep/bass music. I feel at home here all the time. Friendly staff, reasonable priced drinks. Some shows can get really packed but usually not too hard to find a spot to dance

This used to be an old haunt of mine with my friends back in the 1990s. So it was very nostalgic to come back & see Angelo Moore as Dr. Madd Vibes & the Missing Link. I had seen Angelo with Fishbone here several times in the 90s. The venue was great & with great service. I will definitely come back to this place.

Stop by after count down on new year. The ticket was $20. Got into the dancing area and it’s ...... not that great. The environment is a little.. bit not that good. It’s a pretty dirty in the restroom. No toilet paper not seat cover. Will not come back ...

Cool lounge, definitely a must to check out. Design of this place is reminiscent of the Regency Ballroom. Bartenders were grumpy (and add themselves tips as if the cocktails aren't already $14!💀) but oh well, can't be perfect. Cool place all in all!

  • 4/5 Irene L. 1 year ago on Google
Went on Geek Night and had a pretty good DJ and Bartender. Would definitely come again but be careful when selecting the themed nights. It is definitely what you would expect but had a spacious dance floor and an upstairs.

Always a good times when I go. I've never had issues with staff. It's nice that they have the pizza spot next door.

  • 1/5 James G. 10 months ago on Google
They security keep wanting us to put our drinks down on the table-chair unattended while we go to the bathroom, instead of giving it to a friend with 100% knowledgeable and view that they aren’t drinking. Also be careful they keep following my girl around. From checking the bathroom stall, after she peed, to watching her eat her pizza. They literally follow her for exactly 17 minutes. We timed! Even when she’s taking videos, you can see the same staff behind her. They stop after she say “what’s up” and asking if anything was wrong. Hopefully they can give their staff better training.

  • 3/5 Jason Q. 1 year ago on Google
since it is one of the few places that will bother loosing money to have all ages shows and book cool bands and DJ me and my friends went and after having to wait 5 minutes the guard was nice but took one of my friends fake ID. The bartender was ruude and totally wouldn't sell me a drink because my wrist band was on the wrong wrist. The dance floor was awesome and sound was great but when my friend was taking a sip of the bottle I brought in from outside he was told he had to leave and they illegally confiscated the vodka. Just as the last band was starting me and a friend went to the bathroom and my friend had this small bag of flour in his pocket and we kind threw at each other laughing and the security guard walked in and grabbed the straws then threw us out. He wouldn't refund our money or let me speak to the owner. I mean the place was cool the price was like they wanted to make enough money to keep the lights on or something but the staff wouldn't just let us have a good time. For sure when I turn 21 I'll only go there when there is something cool happening.

An intimate venue that I liked a lot. They arranged a very specific juice and water request for our VIP table as we did not consume Alcohol. I’m sure it meant going out to the store. Thank you!

Wish I could give less than one star. The main issue? The bouncer. We were kicked out so rudely it was shocking. It wasn’t just the way we were treated; it felt like outright discrimination, especially against Asians in our group. No explanation, no decency, just thrown out. It’s clear they don’t care about treating people fairly or with any respect. And here’s a tip: if you face this kind of treatment, don’t forget to dispute the charge with your credit card company. Places like this shouldn’t get away with such behavior.

This ‘mash up’ idol was so fun!! The host, contenders, performances, judges - everyone was great! An amazing Saturday night - it’s called ‘Bootie SF’ they served the ‘crazy Paula abdul’ as a signature drink which was very sugary but pretty good - $11 so not too bad on price but it was also very small. Overall, great time. Crowd was lively too!

They only accept phone orders and I had to call outside the restaurant because they don't accept walk ins. I was searching up "best wings in SF" then google showed San Tung and I gave it a try (best decision ever lmaooo). The dry chicken wings is really good, reasonable price and best quality! Will definitely order again soon.

The DNA Lounge is one of the most notably respected lounges and San Francisco as well as Northern California when it comes to throwing electronic dance music festivals. When it's not about the music, the venue offers decent food for lunch and dinner times. I'm not going to say the place is clean, but it does keep his self maintained enough for it to be presentable. I definitely would recommend.

Went for the first time on a crowded Friday, and definitely was out of my element, but in a good way. There were a total of 4 dance rooms! Great venue! Spacious enough to choose your own energy level. The pizza portion is nice to be able to duck into. Drinks are pricey relative to other venues but they're strong. The restroom hygiene is subpar and the toilets without seats are just weird.

A wonderful dance club that has been a staple of San Francisco for many years. They host Bootie SF on Saturday nights which offers many rooms of dancing and different styles of music. Attached next door is a pizza establishment that is great for soaking up the many drinks that you may end up consuming while you dance the night away. Unfortunately recently they have changed the club to being 18+, but it still seems to be the same ole DNA Lounge of the past. Hopefully this helps them stay in business as DNA Lounge is a legacy and should serve the city of San Francisco for years to come. Also, for most events if you say you are "attending" on Facebook, you get a reduced cover cost until 10 or 11pm

Good to have few dance floor to choose from. Great music, nice people. We ordered shots of tequila ($9 each!). and it wasn't worth it at all, because tasted like tequila with water! Tap water available for free. The entrance was $20. You can join guest list on FB,so it can me cheaper for some events.

This place has gone downhill! Also went on new years after concert at bill graham. We ordered drinks during last call at 1:45am to have our drinks snatched from our hands after 1 or 2 sips"because it was 2 am". There was not even a warning, just a guy running through aggressively snatching drinks from hands (super rude). Also all the other rooms closed right at 2am after we paid $20 each to get in. Such a disappointment.

(Translated by Google) Very large night club - 4 rooms - show - good atmosphere - expensive - to do A very large complex that reminds me of the biggest nightclubs I have done in Europe. Beware of the district in general it is not super secure but if we are vigilant there is no problem.
