Pretty ridiculous prices for simply average food. Came here for brunch on a Thursday and there was about 3 other people in the whole restaurant. Definitely has a nice interior though. We had the breakfast starter and pancakes. The breakfast starter came with a small salad which was nice, but only one piece of toast. The hash browns were pretty bland as well. The pancakes were nice and fluffy but they charge $3 for about 15 blueberries?? It's a fine place but there's much better for way more value around the area. Wouldn't come here again

We had breakfast here. It’s a pretty breakfast spot. Ordered buttermilk pancakes and salmon eggs Benedict. Decorations are on point and It looks well thought out. pancakes were fluffy. Unfortunately the Eggs were watery and hash brown was lacking of salt/ flavor. If you look for a classy setting/ chic Ambiente this could be a place for you.

Home Plate blew us away with the taste of the dishes and presentation. The restaurant is cool, hip, and has a great menu. This is my number one breakfast spot in San Francisco, highly recommend!

Nice atmosphere, food was good! But honestly overpriced for breakfast $70 plus for 2 people. For basic egg and bacon plate and coffees. Not even mimosa’s! It was me and my husband and one other couple that came in and had breakfast, so not busy at all! But honestly I can see why they don’t get a morning crowd- we would never go back for that price. Not getting return customers and prices too high will not bring in the patrons. Lower prices a bit to be reasonable and your business will go up just an opinion of a traveler. I wish them well! I’d go elsewhere for just as good my honest opinion.

There was a wait but I feel that’s always a good sign for good food. Service was a bit slow but i assumed it was due to them being super busy. Food however was AMAZING and made up for the wait. I had the Croffle (new item) and it was perfect and flavorful. Portion size was also perfect for me. I had the Peach Bellini after the mocha coffee both were delicious. I would definitely go back here next time I’m in San Fran!

This place makes you feel like you're sitting in a fine Cafe in Paris or Berlin without being overpriced. Breakfast was extra delicious and everyone working here exceptionally friendly. Highly recommended!

FILTHY torn fabric chairs; Dirty walls; See photos. And why in August do they have Christmas decorations like a reindeer?! Overpriced. Small portions. They automatically charge an 18% Service Charge.

Interior decoration and chairs are amazing, the seating area next to windows were closed when we went and went inside I didn’t know why? As inside area was dull Food portion were good, but my Philly Cheese steak and omelette (new item) was not that great honestly , the meal lacked the right seasoning and bell peppers weren’t really cooked well, I don’t recommend it My wife took the crab cake Benedict and it was good, I gave the place 4 starts because of customer service and agreeing to request remake my wife’s order as we requested “not runny eggs” but first plate had runny eggs

This place was Amazing!! Food was good and the wait to get the food wasn't long. We got there early (8:30) so there was no wait to be seated. We will are returning to have breakfast here the next 4 days(we are from Seattle). I has the garden omelet and my husband has the New York steak.

LOVE that they were service dog friendly. The crossaint waffle was just omg I couldn’t get enough. I don’t normally finish my food but I finished every lick on my plate. I got the potatoes and ate it with ranch and it was so good. I’m not much of an alcohol person, because of the taste - but these mimosa flights hit different. We ordered two because we loved the flavors so much. The peach raspberry was the best. We are going again next Sunday because we loved it so much.

Loved the Croffle Eggs Benedict 🍳 such a cool dish, great atmosphere. My son had the chicken waffles and gravy and we also had the omellete.

Very nice place! The food was pricey but very good. This is the first time in a long time that I ate EVERYTHING on my plate. I usually leave big piceas behind but this time, that wasn't the case. If you are in San Francisco looking for a good place to have breakfast then this is the place to go!

This is kind of an odd place that we've been to many times over the years. It was redesigned/updated to a modern decor a few years ago. I would say the breakfast food is decent; not spectacular. Prices are good-particularly for San Francisco. The disconcerting part of the cost is that they automatically include an 18% gratuity. There is a minus and plus to this concept. The last time I was there, a completely destitute man was unconscious on the sidewalk next to this place. One would hope the Manager would deal with this in a humane manner somehow. Further, inside, there was a table of 5-6 young men using foul language broadcasting at high volume. One of them was stretching his leg on his buddies shoulder over the table. Come on-the restaurant should have shut that whole thing down-completely out of control. Not really sure this place "gets it" beyond cooking and serving.

The people working here are so nice and great service. They have bottomless mimosa 🍾 you get for an hr and fifteen minutes. Although I did not drink very many but it was worry the price of $26. They have a couple vegan options that include jackfruit. I got the salad and it was yummy and filling. We didn’t have a long wait for Saturday morning either.

Food was great it was a cute little place. We think it's way overpriced however. That is probably what would stop us from coming back. Ended up being about $90 for 2 people for breakfast which is crazy in my eyes for what we got. Good food but sad about the bill 😔

Cool spot for brunch. Services is fast, food is good and portions pretty sizeable. Never had a cocktail here but I saw a sign on the table, and they offer bottomless mimosas. I THINK it’s $25 and only good for one hour and 15 min. I had the roasted chicken omelet and as healthy and boring as it sounds, it tasted super good. The tomatillo sauce was everything. We ate about noon time, and I didn’t eat again until dinner around 7pm. Portions are pretty fabulous here. The hubby got a basic breakfast, but it tasted better than just basic. Would come back again and host a girl’s brunch.

Seeking a local spot for breakfast, we decided to stop here instead of Mel's across the street as we thought this looked more interesting and the reviews suggested it would be excellent. Next time we'll just go to Mel's... We were seated within a few minutes and the server took our order almost immediately. We were able to sit for a few minutes and were able to take in the ambience of the Home Plate. The first thing I noticed sitting on the long cushioned bench seat was that the cushions were absolutely filthy and stained. There was hair all over them and they were honestly disgusting. I've seen cleaner seats on public transit. Looking around at the rest of the restaurant, the overall decor was okay, but it was apparent that it was rarely, if ever cleaned. The chandelier had a light out and was draped in dusty cobwebs. and the dining area in general was just relatively unclean. The condiments and seasoning at our table looked downright vintage in how old and nasty they were. The salt and pepper looked like they'd probably never been replaced. After a suspiciouly short wait, my partners food arrived. My partner's food came out first and about 5 minutes later my food was then served. The first thing we noticed was that there was long hair in my partner's eggs bennedict. At this point we were both ready to just pick up and leave, but unfortunately we had an upcoming appointment and did not have enough time to get a meal somewhere else, so we decided to stick it out. What ensued was an incredibly average and underwhelming breakfast. The breakfast potatoes were cold, soggy, and clearly just scooped out of some bin in the back and onto the plate. The french toast was tasteless and uninspired. The homemade chicken sausage patty was ordinary and nothing to brag about. Overall this was a very disappointing breakfast and left us both regretting our choice. This meal was nowhere near worth the price. The only redeeming quality of this place was that the service staff were all friendly and attentive, and conscious of us and the other diners!

Amazing! The food was so good and the bottomless mimosas were worth the money! They were balanced equally unlike some places that put mostly orange juice. All the staff we ran into were absolutely awesome and helpful. Defiantly coming back! 💗💗

There was a minor wait. Food was delicious. We got the freshly squeezed orange juice and strawberry supreme. Also ordered the chicken omelette and buttermilk pancakes. Both were delightful. Will gladly be returning to Home Plate.

Lovely staff and food. Went there for breakfast and didn't need to wait to be seated. We got our food quickly and it was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend the 'croffle' (the one with chocolate sauce). Really cute and cozy :).

We got mimosa's and breakfast. The servers were very friendly, and we were seated and served quickly. My husband got the French toast special (French toast, sausage and eggs) and I got the pancake special (pancakes, egg and bacon). It was more than enough food! We sat right by the window and people watched while we ate. We would definitely come here again if we are ever in SF!

Great Pancakes. They had an unexpected but really nice consistence. I am almost tempted to go back and reorder just to see if it always taste like that or if I got a weird batch. They were "fluffy but dense" in very pleasant way (makes no sense I know). I am starting to be a bit of a pancake nerd as I always eat pancakes when I traveling and those are among the best I ever had. East Coast to West Coast. Definitely top 3 in my book.

This place is located in a very nice area of the city. Once you park on the street you can go explore more stores around the area. When i went i had a breakfast and believe me. It was DELICIOUS. The menu have several options but i went with this peculiar option called "Whatever" which they asked me if i was allergic to anything and i was like no lol. So they brought me this dish with shrimp and eggs. I think is the new item they have on the menu called surf and turf. Its so good. It came with a small side of salad and some home style potatoes. My Gf got the Breakfast starter and she said it was alright. The Drinks are pretty good. Bottomless mimosas to start the day? Also, i heard that the waffles are pretty bomb here. I would definitely go back. The customer service was good. The waitress was good, took a while to bring the bill but anything else pretty good. The seats where very comfortable and the decoration was adequate to the area.

Home Plate was my first place to grab food after 11 hours journeying from Scotland this week. The food is great, and served quickly, but the actual service is fantastic. All the ladies who have been in this week have been so courteous and polite and lovely and welcoming. I’ve been back again today, and will probably be back again before I leave. Superb.
