My first time eating sushi at a restaurant - Great sushi at a great price. The sushi chef was very skilled and made us some delicious food. The Spider sushi looks great, tastes great as well. Gyoza was great as well! I think it’s hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. Don’t forget to order some hot sake!

This is an amazing place. We had avocado sushi with perfectly ripe and proportioned avocado. The tempura rolls had probably the best tempura I’ve every had. Incredible miso soup, perfectly cooked rice, fresh salmon, and superb proportioned and substantial food make this the best sushi place I’ve ever been.

Second time coming here. The staff are so nice and very attentive! You can tell they have all been working together for quite some time with their friendly banter. Regarding the food, it is so affordable for the amount of food you get. It's $25 for a 15 piece sashimi platter. The grilled hamachi collar was a standout. Will continue to come whenever I'm in SF!

Best sushi I've had in a while, and has one of the most beautiful interiors I have ever seen. Ordered the Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll, Crunchy Roll, and Garlic Lemon Edamame, and they were all incredibly delicious and were priced right for their quality. The delicious food paired with its fabulous interior and efficient service will be bringing me back again very soon.

Probably the best japanese you’ll gonna have in San Francisco! Perfect vegetables, perfect chichen teriyaki, amazing salmon… 5 stars!!!

I am quite angry with this restaurant. We had been going regularly to this restaurant and had 2 different rewards cards. On our previous trip about a month ago, The server offered to combine all the points onto one card, so we did. Today we went there and gave the server our rewards card which, by the way, had a cumulative $998 spent. So with today’s total of $121 we should have gotten a discount of $100 - a reward for having spent $1000 at this restaurant. We were then told that these reward cards no longer work. I said I was very unhappy with this and she proceeded to tell me that it notification was on their online site. I said but those who come to the restaurant do not look online. She was apologetic but really this is unacceptable. They should have had a grace period for eliminating such a program that was in place for more than 10 years. She proceeded to tell me that there was some other new points system that if I register I would receive points. I am dismayed by this and will just not worry about point accumulation as they have now lost a regular customer.

Long line to get in during dinner time. Food is great. Especially like the Omakase. $45 for 18 pieces (6 different kinds, 3 pieces for each). But each piece is very small and thin. Given the price of $45, it is still good. You can try different fishes in one order. Lobster dynamite is something I do not see in other Japanese restaurants. Worth to try. But I think the lobster was overcooked.

What a delicious & perfect Chirashi! I failed to take a picture before, I dived in and nearly ate half of the sashimi. Perfection & high quality deliciousness at it's best. I was 100% satisfied. Excellent customer service as well. I asked if they were willing to substitute saba for another option & they did. The traditional garnishes were fantastic, too. If, I could give 6 stars, I would. 5 stars is in order.

Good Foods and good services. Only 1 thing to complain about it is the table is too small for 2 people because we ordered too many dishes. Haha 😆

Great neighborhood sushi spot. Nice sushi chefs at the bar and staff is super attentive. Agedashi tofu and miso eggplant both great starters. They have reasonably priced nigiri and you can just ask the sushi chefs for a omakase with however many pieces you want/pace yourself as you go. Really solid

Still tasty after all these years, and prices are great relative to many other sushi places in SF. It is, though, cramped inside, and loud. The regulars shout things at each other from across the bar, so not a great place to sit.

I only did a take out tonight because, it's my birthday and I ordered from here because, I wanted a delicious meal & I know that everything has always been great, from my past experiences when, I've eaten in. Excellent cuts of sushi, perfectly displayed. Absolutely perfect, delicious, plus extra in-house, made perfection with the sides. Truly authentic and I will keep coming back.

Absolutely fresh and mouthwatering. I’ve been to a few sushi spots in San Francisco so far, but Ebisu has been my favorite by far. So good, that I’m willing to go back again. This place opens up at 5 PM. By 5:15, it was already packed and you had to wait in line an hour+ to get seated, so be sure to go early. We also sat by the bar and had a lot of fun as the chefs were very entertaining and friendly. The sake was also extremely tasty. Highly recommended!

If place can be perfect,this is it! Perfect vibe,absolutely delicious Sushi and very welcoming/professional sushi masters and staff. Would recommend everyone,wishing to spend cozy,delicious, Japanese evening !

Very good restaurant but not many seats. Even if we arrived at 5.15 pm on a Friday night, we had to sit for an hour. But food is excellent… a very good choice and prices remains reasonable compared to other Japanese restaurants in San Francisco.

The best rolls of my life. This place is over 40 years old, unbelievable! I recommend it to anyone who wants to try really authentic Japanese cuisine.
