One of my new favorite spots in SF. We were lovingly poured some of the nicest German beers I've ever tasted, and treated like old friends. Very nice selection of Scotches as well. The staff all really knew what they were talking about, and their passion for beer really shined through. The view is unbeatable, the reclaimed space is remarkable, just gorgeous. Airy, high ceilings, nice bright white interior details, just beautiful and relaxing. Pretty neat to think this is all on an old military base. I remember when this was abandoned and boarded up, it's just amazing to see what they've been able to create. This will forever be my last stop in the city, the view of the bay is well worth the trek.

Can I just say thank you to the staff and ownership. Keeping true to San Francisco. Neighborhood welcoming venue. I met many locals that love this place. I know why. Such a positive experience. Come to this place to be happy!

Great service, great food, down-to-earth price. Bilingual speaker, you will feel welcoming here. Staffs are lovely and really nice they make my mom laughs despite not an English speaker. Thank you so much, server JC.

Stopped by for lunch while in the area. We were able to get a table inside easily. Service was efficient, tentative and checked on us throughout lunch. Ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich and it was delicious! The shoe string fries were also cooked perfectly, a little crispy but soft inside. Didn't order any drinks and just enjoyed water.

I loved the place! It's located in a lovely part of SF, at the Marina, and it has a beautiful view of it. It's located in one of the abandoned military buildings, so it's a huge open space with very tall ceilings. It's a place with German food, only much better! 😂 I would recommend that you at least try one of the wursts. I had one of their dark beers with a smokey flavor, highly recommend it. The place offers a nice bar area as well as seating for bigger or smaller groups. There's the outside area but it's not that pretty - the view is better on the inside. We went on a Thursday evening and the reservations weren't needed. It's packed with people of all backgrounds and age. I felt like it's really giving me the taste of San Francisco. I would recommend this place for meeting with friends, for third or fourth date or afterwork drinks with colleagues. Also, I really liked the service: we were taken care of very professionally!

Great spot for German beer and food! The beers were great, they had a well laid out selection of beers from light to dark. I tried the Hefeweissbier which was solid. Really good appetizers as well, loved the fries and the potato pancakes. The Bratwurst was good, though the Sauerkraut it came with was a little too salty for me. We had the best service! Our dog was comfortable sitting indoors and they also brought out a bowl of water for him.

Food was delicious. Server was friendly and knowledgeable! We joked that you don't get the dish you want unless you can pronounce it correctly so we had three waters... 😂

Their beet salmon was amazing! Easy parking and fast service with a great view of the harbor. Would definitely come back

The food was not too bad, but I've had better German food at other places. The drinks were pretty good though. Was hoping to try the pretzel french toast for brunch, but they ran out the day before.

Buzzy modernist atmosphere with mediocre food. The pretzel was good (difficult not to), but the sausage and schnitzel were disappointing. I may return to try the currywurst and 1L beer glasses, but not in a hurry. Similar quality to Suppenkuche. If on the weekend, definitely arrive early to put your name on the list and expect to wait 30+ mins.

Wow, what a gem! This place has an amazing atmosphere. The staff are extremely attentive, but not to the point of being annoying or too enthusiastic. I started with the pretzel, which was probably the best I’ve had outside Germany. After my "little" appetizer I had the bratwurst with all the trimmings, and this was another winner in my book. I was a bit unsure about dessert since I was quite full; I was contemplating the Black Forest cake, but the manager warned it was a very big portion and recommended the sorbet instead — I’m glad I took that advice — it was a perfect end to a fabulous dinner. It was a big bonus for me that they have two Weihenstephaner beers on their beer menu. Perhaps one of the few places in the US that serves the world’s oldest (and best) beer?

I appreciate the creativity of the devilled eggs where some of the eggs were I believe marinated in some sort of pickled juice (maybe beets to give it that fuchsia-like dye color?) but I think the taste was too strong to my liking (too vinegary). If it was more of a mild taste I would have enjoyed it better. The beet salad we ordered was fresh. I like the atmosphere of this place.

One of our favorite spots in SF. Amazing German beer but don’t underestimate the food- incredible. We’ve tried a lot of the menu and it never disappoints. Their staff is lovely as well. If you’re visiting SF, this is a must. The views at sunset here are unreal.

I’m here right now and as a German I’m impressed! You get your food super fast. Yummy beers (try the Elderflower mix!). Jägerschnitzel was great. Beautiful views onto the harbor and Golden Gate Bridge. Service is very friendly and accommodating.

Classic menu items, yet brilliantly done and exceptionally tasting! The deviled eggs had this sort of green sauce taste to them that was just slightly sour enough to indulge in, the French fries were oh so fluffy hot and salted, whilst the burger was dripping like juicy incredibly well done. My biggest complaint with the restaurant is that I wish they had more non-alcoholic food items and beverages. Both the pretzel dipping sauce and the apple cider, I found myself wanting to order these items only realize that they had alcohol. In fact, it wasn’t until I picked up and smelled the apple cider that I realized it had alcohol, and the waiter served it to me even though I am underage. Overall, great experience and can’t wait to come back with friends! 9/10

Most of the food we ordered are pretty good. Love the innovation and presentation. For example, German sausages served with Thai curry sauce - gotta love that~ The baked brussel sprouts with garlic chips is also fantastic. Beef burger is only ok - super duper burger is way better than this… The vibe is cool, very relaxing and is close to the water.

Service was a little slow and we could only get a table after 30-40 mins. However the food flavors more than made up for the wait! The food options include lots of delicious vegetarian options - I can't wait to go back! The views from this place feature the golden gate bridge! Highly recommend checking out this place!

Solid establishment! Casual ambiance with a meticulous menu... only you won't realize that until you order. One gripe. WAY high price. You don't realize it till the bill comes. You're enjoying and complimenting as you go along through the meal, and you're left saying "It's good, but not THAT good" once it's time to wrap. Oh, it's dog friendly! Hence, the solid 4 star review. 😉🐾

Almost like Oktoberfest in München except it was November for me and in San Francisco. The service was outstanding, so don't be cheap with tips ... Btw one of the cleanest bar I've ever seen when not serving cleaning so one more reason to not forget to tip the staff. Had a fantastic time here. Highly recommend if you want to experience the Bayerisch feeling - try the Bratwurst taste like in Germany 😉 if you want closer you need to fly there

Great energetic spot at Fort Mason. Authentic German food. The pretzels are baked on the spot. Everything we ordered was perfect. The hamburger came with jam which was weird at first but then we thought it was a genius twist. Friendly staff. A bit pricy but for this you get high quality food and prime location.

Such a fun place with the friendliest and amazing staff! We love the atmosphere here and always bring a large group of friends for brunch or dinner! Ask for Pamela, she is the absolute best and always makes us feel welcome! The drinks & food are of course delicious!

Hidden gem hanging out in plain sight in Frat Mason… I mean Fort Mason. Service and food were top notch. Prices fairly reasonable. Everything in the meal was executed on to perfection. Surprisingly busy/ crowded for a weekday lunch, but that’s just a sign that this place has a following.

This place has an exceptional room on a beautiful day. The windows span the entire room and are nearly 20’ tall. But that’s not why your planning on coming. The beer list is extensive and yes they at least one cider (which was awesome, dry and crisp) as well as wines by the glass. The sausage comes as one or two, get two if you’re sharing as one will fill you up but leave you wanting more if some keeps eating your food. The pickles are great though my group didn’t like the radish, you be the judge. Lastly the chicken schnitzel sandwich was tasty, I probably just wanted the schnitzel if I am being honest, breaded chicken on bread can be a lot of bread. Just saying. Overall if you are planning to be in Fort Mason for an event you will eat here at least once. Come once the even is ending so you can take it all in and then have a nap. If you plan was to walk by and head to Chrissy Field, you have more stamina than me.

Whenever i have the chance to visit the Fort Mason area, this is my go-to place. Their beer selection is very unique and they serve great German food as well. We have always been happy with the service here and the location is excellent. Paid parking is available but it's very safe! Not a sketchy area at all (which is rare for SF.)
