Ordered takeout with a friend. We each got the power bowl and split an order of the crispy brussel sprouts. 🥣 Power Bowl: 5/5 - So much flavor and more filling than I expected. I wish there was a little more quinoa and grains to go with all the sauce, hummus, and picked onions. There’s so much flavor I could have used the extra base, but it was great with the mixed salad too. Everything on this was delicious. 🥬 Crispy Brussel Sprouts: 4/5 - Honestly these were so delicious and the aioli was also so good and a little spicy. Only docking a star here because they were really greasy, which also made them less crispy. The taste was amazing though and it was a good portion size for the price. Overall I would definitely order these two items again. It was fast, reasonably priced, and relatively healthy. Highly recommend!

I simply ordered Rice, Chicken and Broccoli,; or at least I thought it was simple. My entire meal came entirely messed up, nothing tasted fresh or came out right

Had a great lunch here. Very lean and clean. Simple plates cooked well and reasonable prices. Portions not so large you can’t finish your food. Friendly staff and hygienic atmosphere. The pudding was a little strange almost like a gelatin and not a yogurt texture but otherwise very nice. Would come back.

TLDR: If you are following any kind of diet or have any allergies, this place is fantastic. If you are not on a diet or allergic to anything, you'll still find something you'll like. One of my coworkers is mildly allergic to most nuts and highly allergic to most fish. She is also trying to go on the keto diet, so she limited herself even more. It was hard trying to find a place to go with her, but she came across Kitava. It seemed like an interesting place so all my coworkers and I went to try it out. Kitava is a order up front, get a number, and take a seat place. I ordered the Cuban Bowl with the braised pork shoulder, one coworker ordered the General Tso's Chicken, and another ordered the Pesto Chicken Cobb. The order didn't take long to come out. We all ordered to go and the food came in a compostable container and with compostable utensils. My Cuban Bowl was very flavorful and everything worked together well. The meat was seasoned really well, the salad was very refreshing, and the plantains added some sweetness overall. The General Tso's chicken was coated really well with the sauce. The chicken was still juicy underneath the layer of crust. I didn't try the Cobb but my coworker really enjoyed it. The salad used mixed greens, mixed with the non-dairy dressing, making it very satisfying to eat. The pesto added a positive twist onto the usual Cobb. Overall, I like this place. Good, healthy food is not always easy to find and this place fulfills it. Everything on their menu is online as well, so you will about to see ahead of time what you can and cannot eat. My coworker with the allergies and diet loves this place and will be going back more in the future.

So, my husband didn't care much for it... But for me, after more than two years on AIP, the ability to walk into a restaurant and just order something off the menu without having to make a ton of changes... I cried. No lie. Big huge happy tears. You have no idea how much it meant to me. Oh, and the sesame chicken bowl was DELICIOUS. The breading on the chicken is sooooo close to McDonald's, except, you know, safe for me. And solid white meat chicken. *chef's kiss* perfection.

Unsafe neighborhood. You better to order from your home to taste their delicious food.

Pros: The Sweet Plantain bowl was delicious and very satisfying. Cons: Perhaps more caloric than other salad places (I only tried the bowl mentioned above).

This place is really good, and definitely one of the best quick lunch/dinner spots in the neighborhood. I really love the israeli options on the menu, and I hope they will bring more in the future. The bowels are very filling, the kombucha is crisp, and the service is quick and easy. Looking forward to working this place into my weekly rotation.

I know of no better healthy meal staple in SF! Fast service + wonderful selection of quality vegetables & proteins, consistently great preparation, generous & satisfying portions, kombucha on tap. Location at 16th & Mission offers convenience, but not scenery. Always worth the trip!

Greeted with the biggest brightest smile. Food aroma was prominent, but not obnoxious. Reviews suggested this spot was good...true to report. I ordered the chicken bowl garnished with charred broccoli, satisfied to the max. Gratitude. Only criticism: wishing it was less loud when dining in:/- ugh!!

Nice ambience but the location is super shady and the food is okay. Service staff are very nice!

Great concept and very friendly boss/waiter. The food however was not as good as expected. Chicken bites a little too dry, and the rice/broccoli not warm enough

Absolutely amazing! So clean and DELICIOUS! I got the Bolognese with beef and it reminds me of Polish bigos. The kombucha on tap is yummy and refreshing! Boyfriend got the doodles with beef meatballs.

Delicious healthy takeout option. Great brussel sprouts and Sesame Chicken Bowl.

My husband and I loved sesame chicken, power bowl was just ok. Loved the fact that it’s gluten free place.

Really loved the food here, quite healthy but still super flavoursome! Nice clean interior too. The picture doesn’t do it justice it was so delicious I forgot to take a photo until I was almost finished!

Wicked awesome food last night. We ordered two bowls w chicken. All of it was fantastic. Super happy our friend Dr Patty Ann told us to check it out. We were staying at the Ritz Carlton and it blew their food away.

I ordered delivery and not only was the chicken in my bowl old it was bony and there was TUNA mixed in- the protein was ordered was chicken!! The brussel sprouts were literally dripping in oil. I was very disappointed and do not recommend. Perhaps if you eat in their food may be palatable but I will not take the risk.

The food at Kitava is healthy for you however some of the dishes are lacking in taste. For example, the pinto beans have no flavor to me, the taste of the cauliflower rice is inconsistent, sometimes it’s good and sometimes not so much. Also, the food is cold even when I tell me to warm it up. There are couple good things here like the sauces and the kale slaw and sometimes plantains when they are soft.

Tasty food, great service, and an inspiring social mission. Kitava is great! I know that Kitava uses good-quality ingredients and prioritizes community impact through their business practices. This time I got the mezze bowl with barbacoa beef (see photo). Yummy!

Super and delicious bowl. Ginger Ponzu Sauce herb chicken with a side of barbacoa beef. The brussel sprouts were amazing! Crunchy roasted!
