👍👍 Love this gym! It’s clean, big locker rooms, lots of space on the workout floor and a pool. The pool is a little shallow but it’s on the second floor, so, can’t complain too much. People often mention pool, staff, YMCA, great,

Staff are super nice and helpful, especially at the front desk. Has basically everything you need for a full workout. Nothing beats running on the treadmill watching the sun rise over the water and bridge, with the cool air breeze blowing in!

Visited this Y from my home branch in NC. Only got to use the pool one morning, but facility was impressive and the staff/ lifeguards were very welcoming and helpful. Will stop by again when back in San Fran!

Love coming to this place with my students back in the day. The place is still great. You can buy a day pass for $20 and that gives you access of the entire building for the day. You can also access their classes and they have a pretty extensive schedule. Just for the classes itself, it's well worth the $20 you have to pay to get in. They have a row of treadmills that look directly out into the water and the Bay Bridge. How's that for inspiration to work out?

This is the best gym in the city for me. I am a handicapped senior in a wheel chair on a fixed income. I'm telling you this place is the best it's beautiful. I can't wait to get back in the pool there when all of this horrible stuff is over talking about the virus of course. The staff there is very compassionate.

This YMCA is clean, modern, and has killer views. The staff are friendly, and I love the pool staff. Rooftop area for quiet reflection or to eat your sandwich/ burrito, snack.

This used to be a great place to work out but nowadays, it is dirtier and no towel service anymore. The steam room especially is super gross. The tile are yellow and smell as well. It is a serious hygiene issue here.

Based on my experience, I find the current rating of 4.5 for Embarcadero YMCA to be overrated. While the pricing may be reasonable, I can only recommend this place based on that factor alone. However, it's important to note that many customers solely consider the price, which may lead to a lack of control over client quality. The management at Embarcadero YMCA appears to be negligent, seemingly treating their role as a volunteer position rather than a responsible management role. Despite the occurrence of incidents like mistaken or intentional hits in the swimming pool, it seems that little is being done to address or prevent such behaviors. I must apologize, but the management staff's involvement seems to be passive and lacking in effective intervention.Additionally, I feel compelled to mention that my visits to Embarcadero YMCA have resulted in physical discomfort due to being repeatedly hit by other patrons. These incidents have led to bruises and soreness upon returning from the facility. Moreover, I've noticed that many customers take up excessive space and time in the facilities, such as locker use as s food storage or bringing in large dirty quantities of belongings in plastic bags or carriers. These issues have persisted for over a year, and it is disappointing to see a lack of significant improvement or intervention from the management. While Embarcadero YMCA may be an option to consider due to its pricing, it falls short in providing a consistently satisfactory experience. It is my hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and takes active steps to address the issues mentioned above. Only then can Embarcadero YMCA truly provide a better experience for its customers.

Joined recently. THE BEST GYM I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!! HANDS DOWN! The pier is up the street, the staff is great, the gym is clean and the swimming pool is outstanding! I'm so excited that my fiance blessed me to go back swimming!

Rafael was super sweet and gave us a stellar tour of the facility, like the rest of the staff, he seemed passionate about his job. Everything was sparkling clean and for once this place doesn't try shady tactics (No termination fee, monthly commitment, etc.) on people.

Well maintained equipment. Just lacking energy. Low ceilings. Cold. Fluorescent light. Friendly staff.

Too bad the YMCA is not family friendly and the gym is not allowed to work out with my son. Where should he be when we come to the club? It seems to me that the club should welcome this, not forbid ...😡

Beautiful gym with a view while doing cardio. Dope because it has a basketball court. There’s enough benches and machines. A little pricey but there’s options for pricing.

Run on a treadmill while watching the sun set over the bay bridge then cool off in their indoor pool. Great gym.

Although Y itself hasn't resolved my membership issue, this particular gym is the best in terms of facilities, particularly the pool area - nothing compares.
