Nice beautiful lake to feel the serenity of water. There were a few groups of people practicing rowing there. I wish they had nice trail close to the water.

Really nice public lake. I think the real attraction for a lot of people is the walking/running path around the lake. There are multiple loops you can make including a 2 mile, 4 mile, and 4.5 mile loop. Relatively flat as far as SF goes (~130 ft of elevation for the 4.5 mile loop). Really nice place to workout and see other people walking around.

Good spot for a 4 mile run. A lot of passing traffic and busses emit pollution which can be bothersome at times but still a decent place for a walk and to enjoy scenery.

Lake merced is a beautiful place with a massive trail wrapping around it. Even though the lake doesn’t look the best sometimes, there are so many little hidden areas to view the lake. I love biking around the lake because of all the nature surrounding it. It’s a fairly calm ride but sometimes there can be a lot of pedestrians.
