I never write these type of reviews but yesterday I really left with a bad taste in my mouth. šŸ˜” Iā€™ve been going to OTF for the past 3 years and recently made the move to SF. I was so excited to experience my new home studio and was hoping to continue my experience here but unfortunately the lady working the front desk has made me think otherwise. She left me waiting for 10 mins talking to her friend about non-work relating things just for me to fill paper work out, then accused me of lying because I emailed her regarding my membership and she couldnā€™t find it (in mega-sassy fashion). In addition the instructor was quite low energy, but he was at least a nice guy. Got a good workout in (hence the 3 stars) but I wonā€™t go here again.

Skip this location of OTF. Constantly up selling you on things ā€” leave me alone Iā€™ve already paid. And new manager Courtney is RUDE. I miss Lexi! This location has really gone downhill. Treads not working, soap always out and staff so so so rude. Why are you working the front desk and managing a store if you hate it here. Thumbs down.

They froze my account during Covid and arbitrarily unfroze it and started charging me without getting in touch with me first.

OTF Mission Bay is such an exciting studio to work out at. All of the staff members are so nice and eager to help you get the hang of orange theory. The coaches always push you to do your best and coach Marquiseā€™s classes are super fun! Working out here never feels like a chore.

Iā€™ve been going to OTF Mission Bay for almost a year now and have absolutely loved my experience. I was initially hesitant as I had never previously attended any workout classes before/was waffling on the price point. However, I can now say that itā€™s been worth every penny! The workouts are challenging but doable. There is structure so youā€™re never left wondering what to do next, but enough flexibility so that you can feel comfortable adjusting to your own skill level. The coaches are wonderful (thank you coach Robin!), motivating, and patient. Highly recommend!

Iā€™ve been to a bunch of boutique fitness studios (Orange Theory, Barryā€™s, etc.) and the coaches and staff here are consistently some of the best. The studio is just the right size to have some space while working out but also not so large that the coaches canā€™t give you personalized attention if you need it. Members are also very friendly, welcoming and supportive!

Just dropped into this studio while on a work trip, not knowing what to expect from Mission Bay. Everyone was welcoming. Studio was gorgeous. And Marquise was amazingā€” positive energy, lots of enthusiasm, and a healthy dose of realness. Iā€™ll be back soon!

I love the Orangetheory Mission Bay studio so much. Andre is the best manager ever. Make sure you go to Coach Marquiseā€™s classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I get the most splat points from Coach Marquis.

Letā€™s be honest, I hate gyms but orange is totally a different experience. Iā€™m about to reach 100 classes and 15kg less. Love the coaches, the community and the vibe.

Iā€™ve tried so many work outs but this one keeps me going. The coach is great at creating a community in the class and challenging you to be your best self!

I really appreciate the support of the coaches. Itā€™s helpful and contributes to a high quality workout. Tim, Quinton, Steph, Kate, Robin, and Jenna have been awesome.

OTF Mission Bay is my home away from home. I love the workouts, the coaches, the front desk and the manager Kristen keeps the vibe like a family vibe. Everyone is friendly and encouraging and the workouts are awesome.

Love attending OTF! Great coaches, clean studio, helpful front desk staff. They push me in my workout harder than I would myself! Cheyenne and Marquise are awesome coaches with positive energy that is contagious! Sign up, youā€™ll be glad you did.

I am a committed Orange Theory fan. The Mission Bay studio has been my go-to nearly every morning for more than a year. I switched from a personal trainer to OTF for practical reasons. As a frequent traveler I'm grateful they're in multiple markets. Having used their studios in NY, LA, OH, and SC I can say Mission Bay is my favorite. Appreciate their towel service, natural light, and updated equipment. The workouts are challenging, but accessible. The staff and trainers are all exceptional. Matt and Evan are friendly faces at the front desk and coaches Steph, Kate, and Max are well informed and motivating. Check 'em out!

I joined this studio back in November and have been consistently coming 4 days a week since signing up. Marquise makes working out fun. Definitely check out one of his classes!

Love the workouts. You can basically take it at your own pace. I have been a member for little over a year now and continued going here as I recovered from a surgery and wasn't supposed to run or lift weights -- point is that they will customize it for you. If you are recovering from an injury or don't want to run, you can walk on the treadmill or use the TRX straps (if you don't want to use weights). Love the instructors -- all of them: Max, Marquis, Nisha, Quinton -- all of them do a great job teaching and genuinely caring about your workouts and give 1-1 instructions. I have a very busy schedule and sometimes have to rush out the door to take class...this is a good one hour of de-stressing and on days I can't push myself, I just show up and do the movements but without running or lifting heavy and I still got a workout in and moved my body! Check them out...it is a great workout sess

If you like being treated rudely you can go to this Orange theory I've been there about 3 times and every time got an attitude from the young kids at the desk. Abdullah and Adrian were the main ones. I won't be going back. You're better off going to flagship Soma at the end of the street. Very nice people they don't treat you rudely and no question is a dumb question.

OTF Mission Bay has the best coaches! Was a member here for a year and I have never been so motivated to push myself in the gym. Shoutout to Jordan, Tim, Quinton and Malcolm - for being super energetic and having the best playlists!

I love OT. I started going to the mission bay location over a year ago, and have worked out with many different coaches. Most of them very energetic and friendly. The only complaint I have (which is toward OT not this location) is their cancelation fee. Even with an unlimited membership, I hav to pay extra #35 for not showing up. That does not make any sense to me.

I started doing OTF classes when Barry's bootcamp across the street closed. I had never done OTF before and I was very much surprised as to how much my body really really needed this! The workout is so functional and makes your body more strong and sustainable. This is not a: come to class, pound your body hard, and injure your body class. But it is prepping your body (the exercises are such) for life...lifting, making it stronger, protecting your back. The workouts are great and you can make it harder my lifting heavy or lighter. Nonetheless, good workout and really works! I have gotten leaner and stronger ever since I have consistently committed to this. I love all the coaches...Coach Q and Coach Robin and Malcom are my fav! Their music is awesome too -- super upbeat and they motivate you to get your 60 min workout in! Thanks to the coaches and staff for coaching me!

I am obsessed with OrangeTheory fitness. I lost a lot of my fitness community and hobbies during the pandemic and OTF has brought this back for me full force. If youā€™re looking for a solid community (to be social with or just to be part of), and if youā€™re looking for an incredible workout that helps your mind and your body, this is your spot. The studio is clean, and the fitness equipment is always operational. Parking is accessible but there can be traffic / scarcity due to proximity of the ballpark. The front staff and the coaches are wonderful - shoutout especially to Coach Robin and Coach Q. They are incredibly positive and motivational. Coach Robin makes it a point to remember her studentsā€™ names, has absolutely fire music, and checks in with members to correct form and ensure safety is priority. Coach Q has been one of my favorites back from pre-pandemic days at the FiDi location - he is incredible with form and provides context for what to expect from your body during each exercise and how to optimize your performance. His music is fire, too. All coaches bring the energy, especially these two!! (I literally follow them to various studios in SF lol!) Highly recommend OTF in general and this studio specifically.

Mission Bay OTF has been my home studio ever since I moved to San Francisco - and I absolutely love the convenient location and welcoming atmosphere! As a former fellow OTF front desk employee, I can truly say that this location does all that they can to give their members the best experience possible. I wanna give a special shout-out to the two classes I attend the most - the 4:20PM with Robin and Molly! Thanks for always pushing me and helping me reach my goals. Keep up the good work!

Orangetheory Fitness Mission Bay always has good vibes. The instructors are friendly and enthusiastic, the workouts are fun and challenging, and the prices are reasonable. I've had workouts with Jordan, Tim, Sebastian, Jenna, and Robin, and they've all been fantastic. What I particularly like about OTF is that they use heartbeat monitors to help you gauge how hard you've been working and how much you have left in the tank. In short, this place ticks all the boxes I want for a group fitness class and I'd recommend it to anyone who's interested in getting or staying fit!

Overall, I enjoy the workouts, the coaches and the vibe. I would definitely recommend someone to try OTF Mission Bay, you will love it!

Such an amazing work out. Didnā€™t think it was possible for me to like running but this place made it possible and in my 30s of all ages. I used think it was impossible for me to run more than a mile. It amazing so see the improvements made in my running thanks to the coaches here.

The OrangeTheory Fitness coaches are providing increased attention on each participant, especially on the beginners, they also motivate them to keep challenging themselves. It feels like a personalized experience vs. any other group classes I have tried so far. I like watching my performance metrics during and after the class. It gives me an extra motivation to keep pushing myself. Great variety of classes formats - no one class is the same as the other, as well as various exercises taught by each coach. Tornado Classes as well as Partner Classes are my favorite - they push us the most. Great Front Desk Staff - Anna, Carlos, Erica (Mission Bay) have been always very helpful!

The workouts are amazing and challenging, but what really makes this place great is the staff. They are on top of things, but they are incredibly great to interact with and I consider some of them my friends. The community of people that workout here are also amazing. Its always a friendly place and people are encouraging and supportive.

My first class was an awesome experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Jessica made me feel like no question was silly and helped me understand the theory behind the heart rate monitor. Coach Rio was very helpful and kind! I was worried because I am post-op for a hip surgery about 6 1/2 months ago. I got a really good workout in without hurting myself or my hip. I also was able to get the correct form so I work my muscles and reduce stress to my injured side. The class dynamic was also awesome - some of it was individual work and at the end there was a team activity. Iā€™ve been to another two clases now. Coach Q was very supportive and made sure that I modified any activities that were bothering my hip. He also explained how to use the rower step by step, and the numbers you see on the screen. Now I feel confident to use any of the machines in the studio. I highly recommend you go to the introductory class! You donā€™t be disappointed!!

Jordan keeps me engaged and wanting to do more; even when my body wants to take a break I feel compelled to keep going and do more. Each class is different so it doesnā€™t feel repetitive. Itā€™s a great workout!

Do you want an amazing combination of cardio and strength training? Do you want to listen to awesome tunes while you workout? Do you get bored of the same workout routine day after day? Do you want to be coached by friendly, knowledgeable, and fun trainers? Are you tired of those 30 and 40 minute workout classes? Yes? Me too. That's why I joined and signed up for their membership. Update: Still love it, just hit my 200th class today.
