SoMa West Dog Park

Dog park

😠 We didn't luv this one. It's too small and the neighborhood crowd was slightly hostile. I suppose I can understand; there's hardly room for a half dozen dogs to play and they don't want to encourage interlopers. There is a separate (even tinier) spot for small dogs, way too small for throwing ball.... People often mention dogs, park, small, area, time, play,

Nice little stretch of Astro turf for you dog to run free on. For the most part it's clean and haven't seen any turds left on the floor. Location is kinda cool but at the same time kind of odd because your in this corner below an overpass. Been there twice and both times there was nobody for young reptar to play with. There's a separate area for small dogs. It's open till midnight which is awesome. A few homeless people look like they've claimed a spot near the entrance but hey, this is SF, name a place where you won't find that and they seemed harmless.

I suppose I can understand; there's hardly room for a half dozen dogs to play and they don't want to encourage interlopers. There is a separate (even tinier) spot for small dogs, way too small for throwing ball. Jake wouldn't even go into the larger area last time, tho (I gave it 4 separate tries at different times of day/week before giving up) because the other dogs had ganged up on him. He's usually very social but they were pretty aggressive and I think he felt boxed in (I'm no Cesar Malone it was just obvious). Jake jumped into my lap and a dog put his paws on my knees to bark in his face - no one intervened. Y'all can have ur bit of astroturf, we've found many better places to play thank u very much.

One of my favorite dog parks in the city. It stays open pretty late too.. gates don't lock until midnight.

It's nice, just too small and some of the regulars are less than friendly. My dog is so traumatized by the way everyone let their dogs gang up on him that I can't even get him to go inside now.

Like this dog park. Lots of different people come to this dog park and has water fountain for dogs and us also.. has a big area for the dogs that wanna play with others can go and then has a small area for the not so social ones.. also is tipple fenced so our little guys won't get away.

This off leash dog park is the best. My pup absolutely loves this park. Every time we come to this park, we are met with friendly dogs and their well mannered human companions. People pick up after their dogs, seem friendly and always supervise their pups while at play. Unlike other dog parks, this park is green, shady, and large. If you are looking for a safe and non stressful environment, this park is for you.

Out little guy is having a great time socializing here. We have a little Boston Terrier puppy and since he us an only child, this dog park has helped him socialize and interact with other dogs buddies and people. We have used the small dog side. It has doggie poo bags and trash cans and grass. We appreciate the benches to sit. The other dogs and owners have been good. The times we have gone, most people are aware of their dogs. I expect it's common courtesy to be responsible. We will be visiting often.

My dog had a great time, but there were several homeless people coming in and out to use the water fountain, and there was one of them who didn't shut the double gates, and my dog almost got out. Probably won't visit again.

Nestled in the Hastings Ranch area of Pasadena, this Dog Park boasts two separate area for dogs, one side for large dogs and one side for small dogs. There seemed to be a decent amount of parking.

Two areas for dogs of different sizes. Water fountains for humans and animals. Just across from the skate park.

It's a nice small dog park with two fenced in areas for your dogs to play off leash. Wasn't the best choice for us because it's right next to a popular skate park and my dog absolutely hates skateboards. It's quite clean, though!

My dog and I had a great time. Lucy got a lot of exercise and I like that the turf was that green grass that green plastic grass instead of baseball sand. It's better for when it starts raining. Nice size too and it has a small dog park also.

Nice looking park. People are not respecting the small breed area and coming in with inappropriate dogs sometimes. The astroturf is disgusting. Needs daily cleaning. Not sure if it's done weekly even.

Great little dog park. Large dog area and small dog area. Dog fountain and trash cans. Always fairly clean and a few dogs playing here. Great little spot on a sunny day. Great location, easy to grab a drink or some grub after.

Wholesome dog park. Simple separation for big/small dogs. A few layers of fence/gates to get through. Nice during rainy days as there is no mud/dirt to track. Water fountain for humans and dogs. Just watch out for the rats along the wall!

Fine dog park not particularly special. Turf grass not sand. In part of town that has culture.
