Another delicious place I got to try on the Mission food tour. Honestly would have never tried this place by the looks of it. But it was delicious. First time for me to try beef tongue (our guide highly recommended it) and it did not disappoint. Very smooth texture and super tasty. My friend's chicken taco was also very flavorful and moist. The vegan taco was the only thing that looked a bit anemic and with a tiny slice of avocado. Still giving it 5 stars because of the friendly service

went back in january while visiting and absolutely loved it! it’s very authentic and you can tell they put money towards their business; the staff is very friendly and service was fast. as a hispanic, i had to get tacos, i couldn’t resist. i got regular tacos de birria; it comes with rice and beans of your choice. this is definitely one of the best tacos i’ve had, will be coming back for more, muchas gracias 🙏🏼🙏🏼

The food is amazing! Love the staff super friendly. Their margaritas are excellent. Best burrito I've had in Long time they did not disappoint.

Sorry, no pics this time because I ate the burrito so fast then realized the PIC! I luv this restaurant especially the steak. It has that backyard grilling flavor. Keep it grilling muchachos! 🤗

Ordered the petite vegan burrito and it was actually pretty big, and incredible!!!! The guac was tasty, the vibes were immaculate, and I can't wait to come back!!!

When I was a teenager my mom and I used to hear this place at least once a week. That was more than 40 years I go and they're still going strong. Not quite the unmatched burrito experience I recall as a kid but still p.f. good

It's been a while since I've eaten at LA Cumbre. It was really good, nice service and spicy salsa! They have mild salsa as well :).

Given the vast number of taqueria's in the mission, La Cumbre has some work ahead to make up for a reputation from a gone by area. It's still a hole in the wall, which is all good, but the food didn't live up to their rich history and number of famous individuals who promoted the place into the spotlight. The quesadilla was between cold and lukewarm and lacked distinct flavor. Of course you can overtone that by dipping into salsa but it shouldn't be like that.
