Expect
to
be
served
authentic
Italian
food
by
friendly
and
attentive
Italian-speaking
staff.
Despite
the
place
bustling
with
patrons
both
inside
and
outside,
we
received
patient,
non-hurried
service.
Each
dish
my
family
of
four
ordered
was
among
the
best
we've
ever
had,
including
my
Pappardelle
Al
Ragu
(pictured).
Atmosphere
felt
more
like
a
takeout
pizza
joint
-
uncomfortable,
squaty,
red
metal
chairs,
wooden
tables,
and
gaudy
wallpaper
with
the
names
of
dishes.
Not
a
big
deal,
but
certainy
did
not
match
the
food
and
price
of
the
food.
Also,
to
wash
my
hands
I
had
to
walk
through
the
back
of
the
kitchen
as
I
dodged
staff
and
consciously
avoided
touching
any
ingredients
that
were
out
(that
can't
be
good!)
Other
options
in
Little
Italy
seem
to
do
a
better
job
of
knowing
who
they
are
and
aligning
food
with
price
and
atmosphere.
But
in
the
end
it's
about
the
food
and
the
service.
Piccolo
Forno
excels
with
both.
