Waited
at
the
bar
for
a
drink.
The
customer
in
front
of
us
had
a
friend
come
up
to
the
bar
on
her
behalf
and
ask
about
service
for
her
friend,
since
she
had
been
waiting
15
minutes.
I
assumed
they
were
simply
the
type
who
liked
to
complain.
After
another
couple
of
minutes
she
left.
I
heard
the
bartender
comment
on
how
busy
he
was.
It
definitely
was
a
packed
day.
I
slid
into
her
spot,
the
guy
beside
me
got
served,
I
kept
trying
to
catch
the
eye
of
the
server.
He
was
busy
emptying
the
dishwasher
and
closing
out
tabs,
but
also
spent
a
LOT
of
time
with
his
friends
at
the
end
of
the
bar,
doing
shots
and
serving
them
multiple
rounds
while
I
just
waited.
A
simple
nod
my
way
to
let
me
know
he
saw
me
and
was
going
to
get
to
me,
when
he
had
a
chance,
would
have
been
nice.
Eventually,
my
friend
went
up
to
confirm
if
we
were
supposed
to
order
from
a
specific
area
of
the
bar.
He
told
her
we
needed
to
come
to
the
bar
for
drinks.
She
let
him
know
I
had
been
waiting
at
the
end
of
the
bar
for
20
minutes
and
then
ordered
two
beers.
I
cancelled
the
order
and
left.
Twenty
nine
years
in
the
cocktail/bar
scene
and
I
don't
know
if
I've
ever
had
to
just
walk
out
of
a
place
like
this....
