Palatial, glamorous, and extravagant department store with a restaurant. This store is arranged beautifully, with displays from dozens of brands providing a snapshot of each. The basement floor is dedicated to men, while most of the other floors are for women. The ground floor has makeup, skincare products, and you can see all the way to the glass dome. There's also a beautiful restaurant on the fourth floor. Going through the fifth floor is like going through the living rooms of many houses. I highly recommend visiting this place even if you're not going to buy anything. The displays are so beautiful and it's honestly like an art museum.

Lots of designer goods and disinterested employees not much different than Macy's but if I'm spending a grand on a shirt or shoes it should be a least a pleasant experience. Next time I'll just order on line skipping the bad attitudes and the waits. Sheesh.

Beautiful Decor and I fell in love with the Black Sequin Jacket Cocktail Dress but didn't have an extra 3,000 dollars on me. I can say that most all the staff was friendly. If I ever win the Lotto or marry a millionaire i could see myself shopping here.

This Neiman Marcus is huge, with six floors of extensive choice for home, fashion, etc. Once you walk in, you’ll feel rich... If you’re looking at this review, you’re probably familiar with Neiman Marcus. If not, it’s a very much high-end department store, selling brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Oscar de la Renta, Gucci, Fendi, Chanel and more. So come with a few credit cards. The location is very central, in the middle of the city center, just off Union Square. It won’t be hard to miss, especially in Christmas season, when there is a large Christmas tree up the front. Selection is very good, with little alcoves for pretty much each brand. Despite having ‘sale’ sections, Oscar de la Renta dresses still cost $2890 and shoes sell from $500. On the sixth floor, homeware and children’s clothing can be found. By homeware, I mean $950 glass ornaments and $290 Hermès cups. I reiterate, come with a few credit cards or at least $600 cash if you’re looking to purchase something of significance. So, if you are looking for high-end apparel or accessories of any sort, this is the place to go. Or if you just want to feel wealthy for a while.

Rene in cosmetics (I believe she works in the Jo Malone counter) has helped me for a couple of years, and I could not be happier! It's not that I've placed a whole lot of orders, but the times that I have she's helped me, and the transactions were so smooth. She had the items sent to me, and most recently they were so beautifully wrapped. This means so much to me, and to be sure, I will continue seeking help from Rene for my NM beauty needs : ) I really appreciate her thoughtfulness and care. So grateful.

During my one week trip to SF last week, I went to this place twice, and the customer service was excellent for both visits. During the first visit, I lost my phone in the bathroom and after asking a nearby staff member, someone in charge of safekeeping lost items returned it to me. I genuinely believed that someone was going to resell my iPhone 12. I have the utmost thanks to the person who chose to return it instead of stealing it. During my second visit, I walked into Celine for the second time and bought a cardholder there. The client advisor, Jeffrey Mao, was incredibly patient about my selection between multiple name brand cardholders, respectful of my price point, quick to provide information about every product I showed interest in, knowledgeable about the philosophy of style and human relationships, and showed a level of care to and interest in the client. Never did I once feel pressured to get something--if anything, there was more of a concern about not spending carelessly as opposed to a concern about why I wasn't purchasing anything yet. I decided to purchase from Celine instead of Saint Laurent and Prada's cardholders despite the fact that it was the most expensive among the three partly for the color and design but mostly because I liked the personality of the client advisor. If I ever go to SF again, I'll be coming back to this place.

Beautiful building, the lady at Jo Malone was very helpful. But one other staff said I am not allowed to take pictures because this place is like an airplane?🤔

It was a perfect experience for my birthday. The service was amazing, The food was Yummy and the view was glorious. We were lucky enough to get a table next to the window. I looked out over Union square. The weather was perfect.

Upmarket department store for luxury brands. It has huge selection of high fashion and cosmetics. The architectural interior design is exquisite and grandeur! Must visit for a shopping experience or for a photo opportunity.

I was shopping for my girlfriend for Christmas recently and was helped by Randy Jimenez, who was very attentive, helpful, and kind. My purchase was not in stock, but Randy had it express- shipped to my building. I was pleasantly surprised when Randy also took the time to text me soon after to check in and to let me know that my purchase had shipped. Unfortunately, the purchase was stolen from my building’s package room, and I let Randy know. I was pretty upset, and he was immediately sympathetic and worked right away to see what he could do to rectify the situation. Ultimately, he was able to get my purchase re-sent. I was incredibly impressed with not only his customer service and attentiveness, but also how on top of everything and how communicative he was with me. I haven’t shopped much at Neiman Marcus in the past, but this was such a good experience that I will absolutely be shopping there in the very near future. Thanks Randy and Neiman Marcus, I’m very grateful for your assistance!

Landed in SF yesterday noon and made my way to The Rotunda at Neiman Marcus. Ordered crispy striped bass with english peas, roasted red pepper, edamame, mint-pistachio pesto. Fish and veggies with my favourite pesto sauce was an excellent combo. A light. A light flavourful meal which you can enjoy when you are on the go or when you are in a mood of a leisurely meal. The picture does not do justice to the dish . And the ambiance was just gorgeous . A truly fine dining experience. Servers were great too.

My experience here was the worst of the worst. Came here to buy specific shoes for my Husband, on the very bottom Level there was Nora, I explained I would like to purchase the newest Versace trainers in a specific color combo size 11. She looked confused tying to help me but at the same time shes displaying insolent gestures (faces at other co-workers while showing me items I have no interest in) and impertinent service, you can tell she doesn’t want to help and it clearly shows, then she completely disappears. As I’m waiting for 30-45 minutes, and all other employees getting paid to be on they’re phones, Manager named Larry approached me to ask if I had been helped. (He passed by 3 or 4 times and noticing I had been sitting there for so long) I explained that Nora is retrieving me the new Versace Trainers, I asked for in a size 11. Turned out she just left me there and went to lunch, as he tried to reach her via phone, He said she’ll be back shortly and left to a desk near men’s accessories. I didn’t know what to say, I felt omitted from Nieman Marcus of SF. I decided to try Larry again so I can just buy the shoes and leave, I was not comfortable here. I approached the accessory area to ask Larry if he can help me with the Versace Shoes, but he was so caught up in his conversation laughing and definitely flirting with a pretty young red head girl, AND that was my Q, I’m leaving!! I decided not to bother anyone else and leave this unprincipled, unscrupulous department store. Like the unprofessionalism was hyper real here! 10x worse than Macy’s service across the street next to the LV and we’re spending thousands here!!! I’ll never come here again.

Very poor customer service I purchase shoes in Prada store, they put in the box the wrong shoes and now they will not refund me and give me only a store credit unheard of. It was almost impossible to reach a supervisor or manager to explain my issues and it also took them a while to call me back and of course they also ignoring my request and agree only to a store credit. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

Visiting a department store in 2022? Why not! If it's Neiman Marcus that is. Lunch at the Rotunda was a highlight, easily compares with other options just North and South of Market. Walk-in on Saturday worked as we arrived before Noon, but the place was quite busy. The food was delicious. Soup game on point. Next time we will aim for the afternoon tea at 3pm - might need a reservation for that. Great selection of clothing and accessories, though the men's department was rather unceremoniously squeezed in the basement. No matter, found the perfect shoes with the friendliest service ever - and a jacket I will have to go back for! Lots of made to measure options for several clothing brands.

I had an awful dining experience at Neiman Marcus. One of the top priorities on my bucket list - English High Tea... When my daughter got her 1st good paying job, she surprised me with reservations at Neiman Marcus for high tea. My daughter wanted my 1st high tea experience to be a happy and remarkable one at her favorite department store. When we got to Neiman Marcus they ran out of room at the restaurant. We had to wait 20 minutes while they put a table outside for us in an aisle close to the restaurant. They came back to apologize for the 3rd time. For, they ran out of teapots, so we will be getting tea in a thermos. My long awaited (over 60 yrs) English tea experience had become a disappointing spiral downhill blurred for me after that. Being Neiman Marcus it must have been a costly sum for my dear thoughtful daughter. What a let down having English tea at Neiman Marcus - San Francisco. A bad experience that will live with me to infamy, having my first and so far the only English tea at Neiman Marcus! I was happy just to be and spend time with my daughter. Not to ruin her enthusiasm for her high tea experience for mom... At the end of the tea fiasco, I smile and thank her for her thoughtfulness, for she went out of her way to make a supposedly dream come true for me.

Huge. excellent service from everyone i met, ESPECIALLY Tammy (or possibly Tawny, sorry) at the fragrance counter. so patient, so knowledgeable, and she gave excellent recommendations based on what I already had in my collection. i’ll be back to purchase just because of her. and the building was designed by Philip Johnson, my favorite architect.

Love getting my fragrances here, easily spend a long time here getting carried away with shopping all the different fragrance counters! Most of the people here know about the product they are selling. Not that I need any help with that as I know everything about all fragrances in general, but it’s good that the sales associates here have information on their products. Store is always clean and beautiful especially during the holidays when decorations are up ☺️

Loved visiting for afternoon tea. Tea was delicious and food selections were divine! We took some items home as we were full. Definitely a fun experience and will certainly return!

I have repeatedly tried to purchase items online for both delivery and in-store pickup only to have my orders cancelled. This specific store is very under stocked with higher end clothing items that I'm used to purchasing hence trying to purchase these online items to be shipped to this store. They cancel your order without so much as a phone call or any notification leaving you to wonder where your items are. Pretty wild that you can be wealthy in the nations most wealthy city and cant purchase clothing online for delivery or in-store pickup.

Every purchase I've made there, whether it's jewelry, handbags, perfume, or anything else, has been a resounding success. Women really love the Neiman Marcus mall and it's internal stores. Notably, it's conveniently situated near other luxury brands, yet I find myself drawn to this store when buying gifts for my loved ones.

This by far was the best Neiman Marcus that I've been too. I browsed in Chanel and had a amazing experience. After I browsed in jewelry and bought something I took a look in the shoe department. Every single staff member was amazing and attentive. The restaurant is great! The service was excellent and I had the most amazing server. After leaving the store and browsing at another I realized that I couldn't find my purse (I went to the Chanel across the street to browse and tried on a few pairs of shoes after browsing I noticed that I couldn't find my personal purse) I tried to stay calm and I informed Neiman security that I couldn't find my bag and went back across to Chanel where I was last. As I was canceling cards I let the Chanel staff and security know that I could not find my bag. The security guard at Neiman Marcus found me inside the store and let me know that a purse was located. I really want to share my thanks to everyone at Neiman Marcus. I am traveling from out of town and it would have been a disaster to replace my ID and forms of payments. I highly recommend this location and it's security and staff. Thank you again to everyone at Neimans especially the security I am very grateful!

We ate brunch on a Sunday morning and it was beyond fabulous. The coffee was probably the best coffee I have ever had. Everything was perfect, including the company we had brunch with and the service we had. Ten outta ten in all areas!
