After years of not visiting a dentist partly due to the fear of being told I am not looking after my teeth and facing the hard news that I have several problems; Dr Lake put a lot of these fears and nerves to rest. He provided great advice, was very thorough, explained everything in detail and was always checking in to ensure I felt comfortable and understood everything being said. Was by far the best dental experience I've had.

This was my first visit to Dr. Lakes office. First of all a great location in the heart of Union Square. What was really exceptional was the friendly staff. Dr. Lake and his assistant explained in pictures what work I needed on my teeth which was so helpful to my understanding of what my future dental care entailed. I had a bad experience at a previous dentist. Dr. Lake made me feel good about going to the dentist again! I highly recommend Dr. Lake and staff!

My orthodontist recommended me to this dentist office. I’ve been with some other places but this is the best of the best. First impression is the front desk. They’re friendly, so easy to make appointments and the assistant Sarah June is the best. She make me feel so comfortable and everyone in here are so good at what they’re doing. The most importantly, Dr. lake is not only super professional and he’ll take time to go over all the details, carefully check everything and explain the treatment details one by one. I think as a patient it’s important to find a doctor who actually professional and happy to take time with you and he is really caring person. I loved my experience and I won’t go any other places. This is the one for me.

Dr. Lake is one of the kindest people (and dentists) I've ever met. After being referred to him by a friend years ago when he was back in the Castro, I am still a client and would highly recommend. Everyone else in the practice is a delight as well, from the front-desk staff to the hygienists. The new space on Geary is the most modern dentist's office I've seen, while the elevator going up is beautiful art deco era. The waiting area could use a couple more chairs or a bench, but this is probably one of many updates they already have in mind for the new space. Great views and tunes playing while your teeth are getting cleaned. Go see Dr. Lake!

I am feeling thankful that I finally find the best dentist in San Francisco. My teeth is so bad and I had not good experience with other dentist so I am scare go to see the dentist for awhile. Today went Paul-Ryan Lake DDS and I had the best treatment for my teeth I have in my life. They are doing everything perfectly, they did amazing job, I didn’t feel pain at all 👏👏👏 BIG THANKS to the team and I hope I can go back there again for my teeth treatment. My husband also went here and he had the fantastic experience too.

I love Paul-Ryan Lake and all of his staff. They are always prompt with appointments and very friendly during my care. They are informative about why they recommend certain habits and realistic with expectations. I have never felt strongly about a dentist before in my life but I recommend Dr. Lake to everyone I know and have ~8 coworkers that I've converted. Highly recommend!

Christina at the front desk is super nice. Always in a good mood. Staff is fast and efficient, and let's you wear your air pods/head phones while teeth cleaning. And Dr. Lake is always a professional with the friendliest of attitudes.

Dr. Lake and his staff are amazing! Ivan the hygienist did a great thorough job cleaning my teeth, and Christina at the front desk was super attentive and friendly! I’m very picky with who helps me take care of my teeth, being the son of a retired dentist but i have my found my present and future Dentist with Dr Lake! I highly recommend this establishment!!!

The care and attention to detail is unlike any I have experienced. I had full X-rays and a teeth cleaning. Paul spent time explaining his care plan and concerns about my teeth with me. He is genuinely concerned about my dental needs and providing expert care. His staff are top notch, professional and explained everything in detail as they care for you. First off, I loved how thorough the dental hygienist was for my teeth cleaning. Everyone was so nice and professional. The doctor was patient, informative and gentle. Finally, I appreciate the condor and flexibility of the receptionist. The whole process was easy and I left feeling duly cared for. Plus, having a nice office with great views doesn't hurt! 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Friendly, competent doctor and staff using the latest technology! Dr. Lake is gentle, honest and caring. We paid extra for our insurance (I'm on Medicare)just to go to him. Highly recommend!

Dr. Lake and staff are phenomenal. I have never had such a thorough exam as well as detailed explanation by a dentist on the state of my teeth and overall oral health.
