Van made my engagement ring shopping so easy! He is extremely helpful with explaining all the details of the rings and diamonds. He has taught me so much about the diamonds during my shopping that none of the other shops even bothered explaining. He ensures customer satisfaction and builds the trust which is essential. I am and will recommend Van to all my friends and family. He is truly the best at his job.

My fiancé and I worked with Van at the Jewelry Exchange Co to design my ring, and it was a fantastic experience. Van is highly experienced and knowledgeable, and we decided to work with him after meeting with several other jewelers -- and have no regrets! Working with him is much more personalized and intimate an experience than some of the larger businesses, which can feel a bit commercial and mass-market. He was very responsive, low-pressure, and helpful in answering all of our many questions. We knew we wanted a high quality , 2ct+ natural Ceylon blue sapphire center stone, which is a little less conventional and harder to find than diamonds - but within a week or our first meeting, Van let us know that he had shipped in a number of sapphires based on our parameters. These ended up being the highest quality and best value sapphires of any that we'd seen with other jewelers, either in SF or in NYC. He didn't just help us find the best stone, though - he was thoughtful, pragmatic, and felt like a partner rather than a salesman throughout the process. Ultimately, I'm thrilled with the beautiful ring that Van created for us (well ahead of timeline and at a reasonable price, I might add) and highly recommend him to any couples looking for a custom ring. TL,DR; I said yes!

It was my first time in the jewelry center building, and I did my fair share of research to find quality wedding bands along with excellent customer service. Jewelry Exchange Co diamonds definitely has the highest ratings here, and you don't have to wait very long until someone helps you. The staff is super friendly, and they always keep you hydrated by giving you mini bottles of water. The owner or manager also helps shines and buffers your jewelry on hand.

I visited the Jewelry Exchange Co after reading other great reviews and I am certainly glad I did. Van is very knowledgeable and he patiently walked me through designing a custom engagement ring. He was very kind and never made me feel pressured, the whole experience was stress free even though I have no experience in this area. Truly shines! Van was exceptionally useful and warm while we shopped with him. He addressed every one of our inquiries and wonderful when we said we'd hit him up. Contrasted his costs and a couple of different shops, which were serious, however we returned to Van due to his incredible client assistance and the amount we delighted in working with him.

This review is much later than I anticipated, but after our entire experience we have to share this amazing company and owners! I went to Van in November 2019 with a short time frame before I started planning the proposal. He not only gave me more insight into diamonds and rings and helped me choose the best setting for my soon to be fiance! Not only was he very open to creating her custom ring using an heirloom diamond I received from my mom but he made me feel very comfortable (aside from being so nervous to start this step). Once I saw the setting I knew she would love he then asked if I wanted to get the wedding band so it all matches at the same time and I thought that was a great suggestion especially since it was going to be a custom setting anyways. I was able to pick up the rings about a week before Christmas 2019 as my proposal was to take place on Christmas even with her mom in town. When I arrived both Van and his wife Tatiana shared my excitement as well as helping me feel more relaxed that the time has now come to the end. And when I saw this ring it settled in that this was the perfect ring. Thank you both for making this experience one that I want everyone to have, and have been recommending to anyone talking engagement rings or just jewlery in general. We will surely be back in the future!

Van at the Jewely Exchange was all around friendly, no frills, and knowledgeable. I’d recommend him. My now fiancé and I visited Van some months ago while shopping around for an engagement ring. He knew everything from the process of importing diamonds to designing rings, and even steered us away from some impractical designs (noting that some would snag easily on clothing). We came in with ideas and photo references of what we wanted because he does many custom jobs, but ultimately one of his designs caught my eye! Once we decided we’d stick with it, we felt comfortable and guided through the process. Van was patient with answering all of our questions and weighing options. He even encouraged us to shop around first. Definitely recommend!

I can not recommend this shop enough. I spent roughly 3 hours wandering the halls of the jewelry center talking with different sales associates and owners feeling only ok with what had been shown to me. When I walked into Jewelry Exchange Co Van welcomed me and struck a great balance of familiar in almost an uncle like way and calmly confident in his abilities and wares. Over the next few months he designed a one of a kind engagement ring based on features of other rings already owned and loved by my now fiancee. Everyone who has seen it has been amazed by how beautiful it is at first glance then astounded by the detail when looking closely. My fiancee has repeatedly said it is beyond her expectations and couldn't dream of something better. If you're looking for amazing service and quality I can't say enough how amazing Van and his team are.

I cannot think of a better place to buy jewelry than Jewelry Exchange Co. Van takes a lot of pride in his store and his craft setting him apart from most jewelers. From the first visit he exhibited patience, organization, thoroughness, and care for the customer's (my) interest. He truly provided a customer service experience that is hardly ever seen anymore. Starting from scratch, he listened to my vision of the perfect engagement ring and managed to make it a reality. We worked together asking questions back-and-forth going from a mental concept, to thoughts on paper, to CAD renderings, to finally the actual ring. He delivered during every step of the way, even while he was on vacation. Not to mention, he can find the most amazing diamonds!

After being referred to by a coworker, me and my girlfriend went to check it out. It was our 2nd place we looked. (1st was a big store that advertises a lot) Van was super patient, answering all of our questions, being that we didn’t know anything really about diamonds and what to look for. Didn’t feel rushed at all, took his time to explain everything. My girlfriend looked at a diamond and a ring that she really liked. (She ended up using the restroom outside) I ended up putting a down payment on the ring, he sent it out to get sized. When I got the ring back it was absolutely gorgeous.
