SFMTA - North Beach Garage

Parking garage

👍👍 I agree with others that the garage corners are tight, but that shouldn't be a deduction in rating of the garage especially in a city like San Francisco. I drove a lifted 2016 Toyota Tacoma, Double cab with a long bed equipped with a cap and awning (adding to height) into this very convenient garag... I agree with others that the garage corners are tight, but that shouldn't be a deduction in rating of the garage especially in a city like San Francisco. I drove a lifted 2016 Toyota Tacoma, Double cab with a long bed equipped with a cap and awning (adding to height) into this very convenient garage with absolutely no issues. This is not an easy truck to park anywhere. Drive slow and carefully (which you should do in any garage) and you should be fine. This place is right in the heart of a lot of great SF sights and is reasonably priced, very clean and we feel safe parking here! If I could give 6 stars I would because very few garages accept 6'9" tall vehicles!

Well maintained parking garage. The charges are clearly mentioned at the entrance. It around $5 to $7 for an hour. Very affordable if you are in the area to grab a bite or just walk around and do some shopping. The alleyways are wide enough to fit a sedan comfortably. They have elevators and accessible parking is on the first floor and a few spots on higher floors as well. There's a quote written for every parking space like a fortune cookie that bring a smile. Process: Get a ticket when you enter. When you are about to leave there are 3 machines that accept payment via cash and debit or credit cards. Just insert the ticket and it'll calculate the amount for you to pay. Remember to collect the ticket before you leave this machine. Insert the ticket at the machine while exiting.

Read horror stories on reviews about cars being broken into in SF. Saw this was a relatively safer garage as it is located near a police station too. Definitely recommend parking at this garage and walking or taking public transit to wherever you need to go.

I can’t complain. Parked my car here for about 9 hours and paid $30. The neighborhood is borderline Chinatown and Little Italy. The building is literally in front of the police station and there are even police cars parked in front of this parking garage. I felt safe the whole time and never saw any homeless or other sketchy people in the parking lot or around the area. Yes, it’s cramped and tight in there but not difficult to make it work. If you arrive during the day and go all the way to the top you’ll get nice views of the surrounding area. 10/10 would recommend.

Clean, modern garage very close to both Chinatown an North Beach. It is VERY narrow. I love how they have sayings on the ground for each parking spot.

This parking garage located between North beach and China town is a convenient place to park your car or EV car. It has reasonable parking rates and has several EV charging stations. The place is in front of the police station which increases the security, both for your car and for you when walking to pick your your car. The place is kind of small but drive slowly and you will be fine.

Hard to find good spots in the Bay Area. Here prices are fair and it’s very centric. You can walk from most places from here. As long as you aren’t driving a huge truck you are good.

Often park here, decent price for SF and the police station across the street gives me peace of mind 😅. So far, so good. Open 24h, parked here on New Year’s Eve. It’s a narrow garage, I wouldn’t bring my truck here.

the parking garage was quite snug, and I had some doubts about whether my Tesla would fit into those tight spaces as I made my way up in search of parking. nevertheless, I appreciated the convenience of its location, just a couple of blocks away from China Town!

Many SF garages sketch me out. This one is well lit, has multiple police cars parked on several levels, and is right across the street from a police station. Seems very safe. Lots of comments about trucks...I drive a 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie. It's not easy to navigate around turns in there but it's doable. All of the walls have scrapes from where other people misjudged the turn. Plenty of empty spots on the higher levels on a Thursday night. My truck fits in the space with a little room to spare on each side, but if another wide vehicle parks next to me, it could make it hard to get my door open. $36 per day. Half the price of valet at where I'm staying.

The parking is located next to Chinatown. Easy to access and relatively safe as it’s located in front of a police station.

Fair price. Easy in, easy out. Well lit. Clean. Right next to the police station. What else could you ask for?

Great views from the top floor. Like any other SF garage, it's got tight/narrow parking spots and driveways. Also, it feels safe given that it's directly across from a police station.

Very nice parking garage. Best price in the district. The written notations at each parking spot are amusing!

Decent prices but super super narrow. In the ramps up and down you can see where past cars have been scraped on the sides, which made me anxious both entering and leaving. The sayings on the ground were cute though

There are cop cars parked outside and it is staffed. I felt very safe leaving my car here and I enjoyed the fortunes painted in front of each parking space.

The best place to park with reasonable rates and with the police station across the street, our car has always been safe :)

Clean garage with cute sayings in each parking stall. The garage is right across the street from a police station, so we felt safe leaving our car here for a few hours while exploring the city. Would park here again on another visit to SF.

I parked because of the comments that security gave, we had to stay all day with the car full of suitcases. It is in front of a police station and the parking lot itself full of police cars. There are cheaper ones in the area but this one wasn't a bad price for many I looked at either. Perfect location for everything.
