For anyone that might want to check this place out, I don’t recommend it whatsoever. To put this rating simply, I felt humiliated, unwelcome, and judged for coming in to the store. I came here today at around 4:30pm to pick up an order I purchased online as a gift for a friend. I was actually incredibly excited to finally come to the store since I’ve been wanting to check out and even purchase some rings and necklaces for myself. When I got in, employee A was helping two guests and employee B was on their laptop. I didn’t want to bother employee B since they seemed really busy and didn’t glance up from the laptop when I made myself visible so I waited on the side for employee A to open up. When another customer came in, employee A saw them and then proceeded to look at me from head to toe and the same to the other customer. After that, instead of just openly greeting us, she looked only at the other customer and welcomed them in. (I just want to make clear that I was not wearing anything inappropriate or messy. I wore a cream colored fleece jacket with jeans and uggs.) I felt humiliated and was taken aback from this situation since I’ve never experienced being judged in such a way. It made me feel like they took one glance and believed I wasn’t even someone that could be even considered a customer. I decided to go to employee B and inquired if I could ask her a question. She glanced at me in a similar way employee A did momentarily and looked right back at their laptop and just said “what” in the most unwelcoming way. I then just communicated that I’m here for a pickup and left with my gift. If this wasn’t for my friend, I would have returned it immediately for how degrading the employees were. Again, I do not recommend coming to this store. I don’t think I would recommend even getting their product online if this is what they think is an appropriate way of treating people.

Beautiful store, beautiful layout. As a long time "fan" of mejuri and their pieces, I was really excited to have an in-person shopping experience. Unfortunately, I didn't have a welcoming or pleasant experience. From the moment i walked in (when both employees working there just stared at me and looked me up and down), i felt extremely unwelcomed.(A couple walked in less than 2 minutes after me and were very welcomed??? hmmm...) I had been wearing mejuri earrings and wanted another identical set, so I asked the sales associates, and stood there until one on them reluctantly pointed me to the single hoops section, to an earring that wasn't even what I was wearing. I then enquired about other jewelry, which again, the workers there made it seem like I was bothering them, and would look at each other or look busy to signal to ''deal with me''. I was interested in getting a piercing, so again I mustered up the courage to ask one of the employees (although at this point my confidence and patience was already long gone) about their piercing service. MID CONVERSATION, like literally in the middle of me talking, she picks up the ringing phone (no 'excuse me' or 'one moment') continues to have a conversation for like 3 minutes with someone, and then hangs up. she then stares at me. I had to remind her of what we were talking about (the piercings), and after about 15 mins of patronizing me, she finally tells me that they don't do piercing services on Saturdays (which is fine, but I'm not understanding why this wasn't communicated to me before the lengthy questioning, and before I had to wait for her to get off the phone). The employees here made it feel like I didnt deserve to be here or wear mejuri pieces (especially since I saw how attentive they could be with other customers) and I honestly have never felt more unwelcome in a place before. Unfortunately I will not be returning. It's a shame really, as this doesn't seem to be an isolated experience judging by the other reviews.

I wish I could give 5 stars to the security guard that greeted us as she was so friendly. But I have to go with one because the staff here is useless and very unfriendly. Like other reviewers I was excited to come to the store as I’ve been eyeing a few pieces online. The poor service quickly changed that as I refuse to spend a cent in an establishment where the employees make you feel extremely uncomfortable. Since the associates are more interested in standing around and just watching people I highly suggest they switch to the security position and the security guard should be a sales associate because with her friendly demeanor she would probably up your sales. Seeing that there are so many bad reviews regarding service I wonder why this hasn’t been addressed, do you not care? The mission statement of this company has to do with empowerment, and your employees are truly not on board with your mission. Time for some training, I suggest the security guard be promoted to head of training. Good luck

A number of other reviews here echo the same sentiment. The security guard was amazingly friendly and was the only person to acknowledge me the entire time I was in the store on a Saturday. She should be one of the sales associates! The two sales associates on staff behaved as if it was the last place they wanted to be and were incredibly uninviting. Neither of them acknowledged me or the people who came in after me the entire time I was in the store looking at pieces. They just stayed behind their counters on their phones. I’ve been to the Mejuri in LA and had an entirely different and positive experience so this situation is unique to the SF store. Definitely need new staff or provide some training in basic customer service. Edited to add that I was the only person in the store for a solid 5 minutes and still wasn’t acknowledged.

Echoing the other reviews where the security guard was the nicest person at the store. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes without any acknowledgement or eye contact. One sales associate came out from the back and started clearing the counter. I asked another sales associate (petite brunette with long frizzy hair), who was helping someone else at the time, if her colleague was free. She said "yeah....I don't think so..." in the most condescending manner. I have never felt more looked down upon than in this store and by their sales associates and left feeling awful. I understand customer service is hard but there is no need to be this rude and haughty. This seems like a consistent issue with your store and speaks to how the company and business is run.

Oct 2023- I used to love this company and now they are selling products that are no longer 14k gold (cost over $500). I bought my husband a wedding band that was 14k white gold and in less than 4 months the color changed white gold to an odd yellow color. He is exchanging the ring but I am worried the same thing is going to happen. Additionally, I bought him a 14k gold bracelet here (also costing over $500) and the color is no longer gold. It is a pink color. This we can't even exchange because it is past the 2 year warranty. I will no longer be buying from this company and used to love it. The quality is pretty awful now. We also really bad customer service experience in the soho mejuri store when we went in to show the ring and bracelet. The sales rep was extremely rude to my husband. 11/16/23 - Follow up to my review. Mejuri replaced my husband's ring in October. Within 4 weeks the ring yet again changed from white gold color to a yellow color. At this point we would like our money back and would like to purchase from a store that sells real jewelry.

I had a mixed experience at this store. There were 4 or 5 associates on the floor but only one seemed to be acknowledging customers in any way. She was very friendly and competent but clearly stretched thin, as the store was fairly crowded. The other associates seemed intent to avoid eye contact. The jewelry is cute and on trend. It tarnishes more quickly than similar brands, in my experience.

If I could give this store a 0 rating, I would. As echoed in many of the other reviews, the customer experience is terrible. My friend and I went to the store today to shop for some jewelry. About 10 minutes in, as we're looking at some pieces, the security guard approaches my friend and asks him to leave the store. My friend, thinking that due to COVID crowd restrictions perhaps the store had overcrowded and needed some people to leave, exited the store. Taken aback, I asked a store associate behind the counter why my friend was asked to leave and was told the security guard said it looked like my friend was stealing something and that the associate trusted the security guard's word. At no point did the security guard ask my friend to even search his person for any purportedly stolen items so this must have been the guard's own hunch of my friend potentially stealing something. I can respect that the associate trusted the security guard's word but, truly, the guard's assessment was wrong and the store lost not only potentially paying customers today but for life.

I love Mejuri's jewelry. I have a few pieces from their shop. I wear one of their necklaces permanently. It got caught on something and the clasp broke. I inquired about a repair or clasp replacement. I'd even be willing to pay for the repair. They don't do repairs, it's not covered under their warranty, and they don't recommend going to another jeweler. $300 for a necklace I wore for 6 months.....I hope they change their terms, because I'm bitter about the experience.....

Got in line 40 minutes prior to close and waited 20 minutes to be the last people to get into the store only to have the associate come out and tell us that they wouldn’t let us in because they expect they’ll be working with the people in the store until closing time. I’m sorry, but if you close at 7 you should be taking customers until at least near the time and providing warnings to people in line much earlier than that. 20 minutes is plenty of time to buy a piece of jewelry.

They pierced my ears without telling me their piercer was leaving and I would be unable to get a follow up appointment to get my posts downsized so now I paid $$$ for mejuri earrings to have them look like they’re falling out all the time. I have emailed, stopped by the store, and contacted them via Instagram and they are for some reason unwilling to fix this situation, they just keep apologizing. If they would ship me the correct earrings (which I already paid for at the time of piercing) this would solve the issue, but their only offer has been for me to drive over an hour to another studio and personally pick up the correct earrings. I don’t have a car so this would cost me half a day and over $100 extra (for a rental car) just to get something that I already paid for. Update: they replied to this review saying the backings are shipped, but this is not true. Via email they told me that they have “confirmed the availability” of the backings but they haven’t been shipped. This email exchange has been going for nearly 3 weeks.

Just shopped at their new store on Chestnut. Perhaps finding sales associates who care about customers rather than texting is difficult? Certainly when I asked if she could help me, she didn't even look up to answer me. The gentleman there was no help either. No greeting; no eye contact. I guess I'm not their target market, as I'm not an IG influencer. fair enough.

Had a great experiencing with getting my lobe pierced! The staff was lovely (including the security guard lol) and the piercer was actually the sweetest, and they had the coolest glasses. The staff helped me pick out my earrings, gave me lots of advice, and helped me calm down as I was a bit nervous about getting my ears pierced. Overall would recommend

Be careful! I ordered two pairs of gold earrings, which arrived and I liked. I put on the posts and one was apparently broken and fell out the same day. It got lost so I only have one left and l Mejuri would not replace it. I wasted my money. Do not waste yours.

Alise and Tara are so amazing! They stayed extra to get my order sorted and were super patient and kind through the process. The customer service here was 11/10. I keep coming back for the cool designs but more importantly the awesome customer service!

Mody, the piercer at Merjuri, is amazing! She made the whole experience really easy. The piercing didn’t hurt at all. I have gone to many piercers and she is by far the very best. She was super knowledgeable and made the whole experience easy. Will recommend the location on her alone. The earrings are also nice.

My very first experience here was like the other negative reviews to be honest. They were just too busy with others clients during the weekend. I finally came on a weekday and there were at least two staff available to assist me. They highly suggest booking an appointment on the weekends if you need 1:1 with a staff for selecting jewelry, otherwise there is a wait since they take appointments first. The staff was welcoming the second time I came in. Nicole, the manager, was standoffish at first but she realized that I was interesting in buying a few rings and needed help with sizing. She was able to help me curate my new ring collection and they actually had everything I chose in stock which is not common! She went above and beyond to make sure I loved the jewelry and that they all went well together. I decided to get a few piercings as well and the staff was extremely helpful and patient when deciding which earrings I wanted. I didn’t have an appointment with Modey, the piercer, but she was able to squeeze me in before her next appointment. I decided to get 4 piercings! They all healed nicely and it’s been a month now. The checkups and downsizing is complementary. Modey is an absolute sweetheart and highly qualified as a piercer. She is meticulous with her work and she takes the time to make you feel comfortable. The most empathetic piercer ever! She does not like giving pain and she will talk you through the entire process and answer all your questions. Although the earring selections for piercings were limited, I would come back again to get pierced by Modey just for her compassion and empathy! She is very quick and smooth compared to another professional piercer I’ve been to recently that was spoken in high regards by others. I came back a couple times again on the weekdays without an appointment and continued to have a positive experience each time. There was at least one staff available on the weekdays to assist you. They package the jewelry beautifully and even put a few small gifts for me! I love the security guard as well who greets you and will help you with the door. Not only is their jewelry stylish and dainty but the staff has continued to be wonderful. I look forward to the next time I pick out my new pieces!

Had a fantastic experience! I had to drive four hours since this was the nearest Mejuri store, and by chance it was the first day of the only sale of the year. Even though there was a long line out the door, the staff was attentive and polite and went above and beyond to help us get the best deals for what we wanted. Even the person helping at the front door, who had to stay outside in the cold with the line of people, was upbeat and so kind!

Was a little nervous because of previous reviews but actually had a very pleasant experience here last Thursday! I got my lobes pierced by Modey who was very nice, professional, and calming. She walked me through the whole process which was appreciated. The petite girl who helped us at the counter was also nice and helpful too!

Had a great experience with the sales associate I worked with here — they were super attentive and helpful. I found exactly what I was looking for and am very happy with my purchase! I also appreciated that sanitized sample earrings could be tried on in-store before purchase. Note that they do not currently have a piercer.

I had a great shopping experience. One woman was incredibly helpful and kind, I wish I got her name. She helped me pick out jewelry to go with a gown I was wearing to a black tie wedding. I ended up not keeping the earrings and returned them about 2 days after purchasing, kept the ring. Return was easy and fast. I was helped by the same woman and she made the return feel comfortable; I feel like it can be awkward sometimes returning items but the customer service here was good! I will be coming back again for future purchases.

All the jewelry was very attactively displayed and easy to look at/try on. The staff was friendly, knowledgable and helpful, especially Alisa. It was fun to play around with different charms and chains to create something special for myself. Reasonably priced and ethically-sourced, quality, trendy jewelry.

You get more and better customer service going into your local corner store. Buying a gift for my partner looking like normal people. Made eye contact with three associates and they just straight up ignored me. Asked to purchase something and the response was ok, what do you want. Didn’t fit the bracket or ask anything other than pay here. Luckily my partner tried it on and it was the wrong size. They got us the the right size but man some real bad customer service.
