Unique place that is easy to miss! Good: - Really yummy food - I had the chicken dish and I loved how it came with a delicious mashed potatoes and also had a ton of chicken - We got a sausage appetizer as well and the bread it came with was great - we even got refills! - Unique aesthetic - wooden tables and chairs so it was good for a date night Bad: - Simple service, nothing too special about the experience and felt a little bit slower on the service side since it took a while to flag people down even though we were one of two parties inside Overall was a unique experience, unique food and a cool change of pace for my own tastes

This place is close to 24th St Mission bart. Not too busy on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered mix of 2 sausages (polish kielbasa & Hungarian sweet) with mashed potato and gravy. We had Das boot as well(good for 2 or 3 people) Food was good but I wish they had a dinner roll for the sausage.

As someone of Hungarian nationality, this place is definitely authentic! My boyfriend and I got the olaszrizling (Italian wine from Hungary), which was absolutely delicious. Goes down very smooth and I’d recommend getting the bottle as we had multiple glasses. We got the prosciutto cheese board as well, and loved that paprika spice was sprinkled on the cheese and meat. Gave it a very authentic and genuine Hungarian vibe which made me feel like I was right at home in Hungary! Additionally, we got the vegetarian gulyás and absolutely loved it. This place was amazing and such a wonderful gem in San Francisco.

Remind us of Budapest. Neither of the two pork goulash dishes was salty. The gnocchi was done al dente so they were great for slurping up the sauces. Not big portions. Apfelstrudel was excellent (not too sweet) with fresh whipped cream and huge. Service was fast and friendly. Cash only.

I didn't find the food to be mind-blowing, but it was affordable and the service was super top notch. Very memorably lovely.

Great hospitality and service. We went on Saturday lunch -- the restaurant is not full, so able to get a table quickly. We ordered pork goulash and Chicken Paprika -- both are great. The meat was cooked perfectly and just the right amount of spices in the stew. Freshly made bread was a nice addition to the whole thing. Not too many options in the menu -- but whatever is there, they are perfect.

Paprika has been on our list of places to eat, but I was never that excited to go, being German and there being so many other places in the Mission to eat at. BUT oh it was so so lovely! Paprika is a small place with a small menu, the owner served us quickly, and had German beer on draft. The place played mellow background music and it's just the place to meet up with friends to talk (and actually hear each other)!! There is outdoor seating, so you can bring your dog (we sat inside at the window). The food was amazing and the Apfelstrudel very tasty!!!! We will be back for some comfort food!

Had an amazing early dinner here the other day, I chose the flavorful vegetarian goulash, which blew my mind with how good it was without meat. The beers on tap are authentic Czech beers. I definitely recommend a visit if you're looking for a simple, clean meal in the mission.

The Szeged goulash pork is DELICIOUS. I mopped clean the plate with the complimentary bread. Nice service, too. The waiter guy is friendly. Good for solo dining or small groups.

When you need that hearty, delicious, home cooked meal, this is your spot. The menu is relatively small (which is not a bad thing) and every dish is delicious, not to mention the Central European beers. Top notch!

Small and super layed back. Very fresh and tasty pilsner. The dinner menu had about 4 non vegan choices. I've been to Prague many times and was hoping for Czech style goulash, but no luck. The paprika goulash was good...the sauerkraut that came with the vegetarian sausage was a disappointment though. Nice place to go for a relaxing meal and drinks.

We love the chicken paprikash and the apple straddle here! The paprikash is really flavorful and the restaurant even gives us warm bread to dip into the sauce. The apple straddle tastes very homemade and is not so sweet which we like a lot. Can't wait to come back again and again!
