The interior is practically empty. There are a few mediocre sculptures and very few mediocre paintings. The building itself is the only asset (as you can infer from published pictures), and you can enjoy it from the exterior; the interior can be seen from the entrance, without paying a fee that although not high is not compatible with what is inside. Definitely not a highlight of my trip to the southwest portion of PR. (12/27/19) Margarita

Time well spent! Current opening hours when this was posted was Wednesday- Sunday until 9-4pm. Lunch hour 11:40pm-1pm. Tour Guide was super sweet and helpful. Entrance fee:$5 Sr discount available. Tickets available at entrance no tour schedule, just a very knowledgeable tour guide available to give you a tour or answer your questions if needed. Time well spent. Check out the other museums in the area: history museum and pharmacy museum. 👍🏼

I visit here couple times ago and let me tell you, it is facinating to visit, the place might have lots of car outside but walking around San German is great and to visit the Iglesia Porta Corli is a worth the visit, so ancient the church and so incredible view from the top. Just make sure you can step on long stairs.

Small but unique religious museum. That church dates back to the late 1500s. It is an emblematic place for pictures in the 2nd oldest town in Puerto Rico.

An excellent sample of religious art from the 16th to the 19th centuries. The employees are excellent and with vast knowledge of the facilities and the works in custody. It is a pity that the authorities, the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, ICP, in charge of preserving this heritage, do not give it the importance or the necessary resources to keep this place in better conditions. This occurs with all facilities under their custody.

Beautiful, breathtaking and peaceful. This is a gem in PR. The moment you step foot on the stairs you feel the peaceful energy of the site surrounding you. Being inside with the scent of the aged wood pews and statues all around is something worth driving to and showing support. The town it's self is historical and great for walking and taking in the views of the different architectural buildings.

It was nice but it was closed. They should be open at least 5 or 6 days out a week.

A cute little town museum. Its location and altitude allows visitors a beautiful view of the town. The architecture is incredible and its history. I just wish it had more to see, show, and allow a glance at the monatoc life and religiousity of those days.

Inside it's empty and the entrance door needs maintenance. This is an iconic piece of history and town hall government are not taking care of this place.

  • 5/5 Tony C. 7 years ago on Google
I would say the place I visited was more of a chapel rather than Church. However, it was converted to a museum. The artwork that was displayed was amazing.
