The
worst
veterinary
hospital-clinic
we
have
experienced
in
our
lives.
The
doctors
and
staff
are
used
car
sales
people
who
utilize
scare
tactics
to
manipulate
pet
owner's
emotions.
The
staff
and
management
are
not
transparent
on
actual
costs
for
treatments
or
procedures.
They
quote
many
prices
even
without
diagnosis
the
pet.
The
management
appears
to
purposefully
and
strategically
keep
customers
from
entering
the
clinic
to
check
in
pets
and
the
staff
feels
out
the
owners
prior
to
referring
us
to
speak
directly
to
doctor
who
make
life
or
death
decisions
for
pets.
Arrived
8:30PM
at
MedVet
Clinic.
Per
the
signs
located
on
front
door
in
sidewalk
area,
must
call
to
speak
with
staff.
Once
we
arrived
and
called,
staff
asks
"what
is
your
stall
parking
number?"
Next
"did
you
fill
out
a
patient/pet
form
online."
Once
pet
form
is
filled
out,
we
call
back
and
share
our
parking
number
and
young
female
staff
walks
to
our
car
and
asks
for
a
run
down
on
what
the
animal
is
experiencing.
We
run
through
symptoms
and
let
her
know
we
believe
cat
may
have
UTI
or
Urinary
Tract
Infection;
however,
we
are
not
sure
since
doctor
must
diagnose
the
pet.
The
staff
listens
and
next
states,
"would
you
allow
me
to
authorize
$1,000
to
check
your
pet
in."
My
wife,
responds
"how
can
we
authorize
$1,000
if
we
do
not
know
what
the
services
entails.
We
do
not
know
what
we
are
paying
for
because
there
is
no
diagnosis."
She
pushes
us
to
authorize
$1,000
to
check
the
pet
in
to
their
clinic.
We
are
uncomfortable
authorizing
anything
since
we
have
not
received
a
diagnosis
or
treatment
plan.
My
wife
asks
to
speak
to
the
doctor.
The
staff
is
annoyed
that
we
did
not
authorize
$1,000
and
walks
away
annoyed
and
rushed
with
our
pet
in
her
hand.
Minutes
later,
staff
calls
us
and
places
Dr.
Moerton
(sp)
on
phone.
She
proceeds
to
aggressively
and
in
a
kind
voice
to
push
us
to
authorize
$5,000
in
services.
However,
she
has
not
explained
how
she
got
to
the
$5,000
in
services.
After
we
push
her
for
details,
asking
for
diagnosis
and
treatment
plant,
she
states
that
Urinary
Tract
Infections
are
Life
threatening
situation;
your
pet
will
die
if
we
do
not
check
him
into
critical
care.
She
has
not
conducted
any
laboratory
tests,
blood
work
that
would
allow
her
to
make
an
informed
medical
decision.
She
stated
-
$5,000
level
"We
check
the
bladder,
check
kidney
values,
stabilize
your
pet,
easily
pass
obstruction
with
catheter
size
of
spaghetti
-
we
have
NO
other
Choice,
body
needs
time
to
heal,
swelling
and
inflammation
to
be
reduced...
need
urinalysis
-
hope
he
can
pee
after
procedure
because
this
high-risk
procedure
can
have
negative
consequences
like
death."
Dr.
Moerton
stated
"I
have
done
1000s
of
these
procedures,
5
cats
have
died."
You
will
most
likely
pay
for
services
in
range
of
$3,000
to
$5,000
because
"this
is
catastrophic
and
this
is
the
only
way
he
'may'
survive;
fees
can
be
higher"
Moerton
states
"I
can
charge
$5000
and
do
high
risk
procedure
with
anesthesia
and
send
him
home.
At
$5,000
care
procedures
are
not
compromised.
We
can
charge
less:
At
$2500
we
can
offer
compromised
care,
cut
corners
which
may
not
be
a
good
solution.
We
can
offer
a
$500
charge
-
he
will
not
be
comfortable;
he
will
be
in
pain,
no
testing,
we
take
our
chances.
He
will
have
higher
chance
of
death
at
the
$500
range
where
we
just
do
the
UTI
Procedure
and
done."
"I
asked
if
we
paid
the
$5000
and
he
dies,
do
we
get
a
refund.
Dr.
Moerton
said
"It
doesn't
work
that
way
and
we
cannot
refund
you.
At
the
higher
rates
we
will
have
more
success.
We
will
use
proper
anesthesia,
use
comfort
medicine
to
reduce
pain
and
inflammation,
test
the
urine
for
blood
clots
and
urine
flow."
We
were
overcharged
$4,000
for
services
that
we
did
not
agree
to.
We
never
received
informed
consent
or
plan
on
what
we
were
going
to
pay
for,
we
never
signed
any
treatment
plan.
Hospital
charged
for
everything
and
never
notified
us
on
what
was
being
charged.
We
asked
for
lab
work
and
patient
records.
Clinic
has
not
shared.
