Halie was so so amazing!! She made the experience for our group so amazing and since it was just us, it was a private kind of lesson and it was so great. She was so sweet and understanding and didn’t push anyone but made sure we were all comfortable. It was my first time ever scuba diving, and I will always remember it forever!! She rocks!!

Amazing snorkeling including thorough lesson! I have been snorkeling twice before on vacation and the snorkel and fins were basically just thrown at us. Not with Adventure Mermaids! Halie was absolutely wonderful, informative and caring. She took her time to really teach us how to snorkel. My son and I had some specific concerns and anxiety. She addressed our concerns during the lesson, and continued to address them when we got in the water. We had an amazing time! We saw several colorful fish and my son saw a turtle. (I started to feel somewhat sea sick from floating, if you have motion sickness and medication works for you, take it). Overall very enjoyable day! I highly recommend!!!

Halie was a great instructor and a friendly person overall. She gave us some information on the marine environment, how people affect the marine life, and shows us photos of what we might see. The instruction on dry land and in water was super helpful. She had great equipment that would put the most novice person at ease. I cannot swim and the type of snorkel she had was super helpful and made me feel very comfortable in the water while learning how to breathe while snorkling for the first time ever. My partner is a more experience swimmer and much more comfortable in water, so after making sure he is OK to swim and use the equipment, he was able to go into the deeper part of the water and have some time on his own from the other more novice customers. I learned some great tips from Halie on how to manage my body in the water and felt motivated to do this sort of thing again! Halie took photos and videos of us and sent them that same evening. Overall, this was a great experience for me as a nonswimmer! She also has activities for advanced levels, scuba diving, etc. Would recommend to anyone.

Environmental issues (rough seas) and technology (my phone!) resulted in our first adventure to be canceled. We had arrived to the spot and there were other groups still out in the water. We surely could have disregarded Mother Nature and went with another tour that very morning but we decided to reschedule with Halie- and boy am I glad we did! She is knowledgeable and offers education in regards to marine life and the ocean ecosystem - information that will stick with you for years to come, not to mention safety minded! I was a little unsure being my first snorkel experience- but I never once felt uneasy. She is fun and always has your safety in mind. She is wonderful to be around and is going to make sure you enjoy yourself and see some turtles and other marine life! Our pictures and video are wonderful! I’m so glad we chose you Halie! Thank you for a fabulous experience!!

We used Adventure Mermaid for a private group of 11, and the experience was absolutely unique and once-in-a-lifetime. We were all very new to the activity, but Halie and Luna were so patient, kind, educated, and definitely entertaining. We learned about marine biology and felt ready to get into the waters with our new knowledge. We saw beautiful colorful fish, and SEVERAL gorgeous sea turtles. You could swim extremely close to them, and watch their natural habitat. It was surely a lifelong memory we will all hold.

Halie was so dope!!! She was a great instructor and the speech she gave is before we went in to the water I think every human on earth should hear it was sad yet inspiring at the same time. I should have recorded it. I plan on comin back to PR and I will definitely be hitting Halie up to snorkel. I might even take SCUBA lessons from her as well. She also includes footage of the marine life as well. Thank you so much for the memorable experience!!! If you are ever in San Juan, Puerto Rico I definitely recommend looking up this excursion and getting some lessons from Halie!!

We had a fantastic experience with Halie and Adventure Mermaid. We felt the true concern for the environment that was present in our initial briefing, and how she managed the class so that our environmental interactions were not stressful to the reef or animals around it. Our young teen son is both energetic and enthusiastic. Halie did a great job with both her instruction to him as well as her constant monitoring to make sure he was having fun and staying with the group. Plus, we actually saw fish and sea turtles!! Additionally, Adventure Mermaid including pictures and video in the cost of their class is a true bonus. Download was easy, and it is a great way to remember such a lovely experience. Thank you, Halie. We will definitely look you up again when we are back in Puerto Rico!

This experience with Halie was absolutely spectacular! She made time for our schedule during our cruise port, she spent time teaching us about things we might see in the water, she explained how to swim and snorkel as to not disturb the fish and sea turtles. This made the whole experience so cool! We she took amazing photos and videos to share with us after! Highly recommended in San Juan!

Highly recommended for FIRST time scuba divers! We had an amazing experience with Halie and saw some turtles and finsh groups. Halie is absolutely patient with all her divers and has the knowledge and expertise to guide us along. She spent decent amount of time with us before diving into the water to ensure we were all comfortable and not nervous or anxious. While under the sea, she frequently checked to ensure everyone was safe. This was an super fun experience and Halie is awesome!

This was an experience for a lifetime. We had the best dive instructor. Haley took her time to make sure we were safe and made everything a lot of fun. I definitely recommend this to anyone that I love for adventure. Unforgettable!

This was my first time snorkeling in Puerto Rico using the Power Jet. I am so happy I booked this experience during my father-daughter vacation. Sam welcomed us to this adventure and was by far the friendliest encounter we had up until this point in our vacation. He quickly made us feel comfortable by getting to know us first, including our fears, if any, before jumping into the safety and logistics of the Power Jet. After a brief but thorough explanation of what to expect he took us to the water and had us practice before going deeper. My father being a little older had difficulty at first and Sam walked him through it being extremely patient with him. I really appreciated that and to the extent he worked to make the whole adventure an experience we won't forget. Sam is certified in Scuba diving as well and I will be booking him on the next go around to attempt that, or simply to snorkel some more. P.S He captured really good clips of us in the water! (A lot of friends DM'ing on IG to ask for details)
