Never heard of mandatory charges for meal so I was surprised that we must pay for their in-house food. Very few variety of food and not that exemplary for its price. Also, the rate quoted in my email is different upon check-in. However, service is good with a relaxing beach view.

What an amazing resort! The staff was attentive to our needs and the casita we stayed in was clean and comfy. The beach was beautiful with super clear water and pebbly sand (good to walk on and it doesn’t get everywhere). The view of the horizon and mountains was so peaceful too. There are trees with lanterns that turned on at night, cabanas for shade during the day, and minimal litter around because they clean the beach daily. There weren’t many people when we came so environment was very quiet and just perfect for relaxation. The dining was great as well! They served something different every meal, each dish freshly cooked and very tasty. The buffet area was outdoors overlooking the shoreline so we always had a nice view. Outside that, there are only a few things that made this place 4 stars instead of 5. Our room’s phone didn’t work for calling room service/the front office, the Wi-Fi could get inconsistent at times, and for water sports, we were a party of 4 but as a room they only allowed us one kayak to use which was strange. These didn’t take away from our overall experience though. My family and I really enjoyed our two nights at this quiet little beachfront resort and would definitely recommend. :)

The place was ok. The staff we're extra friendly and helpful. The only problem I find is the "mandatory full board" which means you have to pay PHP2000 each person for a 3 meal buffet. This wasn't optional and was not mentioned in the booking app. We are a family of five and book a villa for PHP12K + PHP10K total of PHP22K. It just felt a bit like a scam.

Stayed there from Oct 2-4, 2022. It was the worst accommodation β€” 1. We felt robbed. Inclusive of our reservation were buffet meals - 700 per head, per meal. When we got there, it was plated, and we did not even have a say on the food that will be served! My husband and I are both hypertensive, and so we were hoping to at least have a choice of vegetable and fish. Every meal was bland and way below average. 2. We had to transfer to a new room because their casitas smelled really bad. The staff, however, were helpful and friendly. But will definitely not be coming back.

One of my few reviews i don't want to do for selfish reasons (that may make a lot of folks go there and spoil the place). Anyway, here goes, checked in Sunday (group of 12) on their soft reopening after so many months of closure from gov't restrictions. I was surprised to see the place did not seem to have been closed for so long. The place itself was clean and was organized save for a couple of things (will mentioned it later). Starting with the pluses, staff was generally friendly, helpful and attended to our requests, 1 downside, they forget our welcome drinks and cold refreshing towels, we found out about it when the rest of our group checked in. Food was great considering the price for the full board meals required for the booking i.e. vs. Blue Coral, Palm Beach, theirs is worlds apart. Even the ala carte lunch we ordered (beef sinigang, lomi and pepperoni pizza) was top notch value for money. Security was fantastic (one of the super, ultra plus, amazing differentiator for this place) with only booked guests allowed inside the place (i.e. no vendors, no outsiders from other resorts, even no locals within the resort, beachfront and even some distance from the shoreline) which gives you the peace of mind, tranquility and relaxation no other resorts in Laiya I have been to can provide (thank you sa mga masusungit na kuya guard for keeping folks away, my mean self speaking). Small but highly appreciated pluses, bikes for free use to roam around the place, free sun protection lotion, showers and toilets are there when you need it, banga with water in the casita entrance and water faucets to wash your feet after going to the beach, kuyas and ates who rake the beach of leaves, rearrange the toys in the kid's areas, kuya guard who always keep people from doing the wrong things (e.g. park in the bike parking area or the resto entrance or does not park facing the beach area (we can smell your exhaust smoke dude). Now with the negatives, this place is expensive, hehehe, lomi is 380, beef sinigang is 450 and you need to strategize with the buffet meals so you can get your money's worth (save space for the delicious dessert, skip the pasta etc.). You can still say, "you get what you pay for" in a positive way as the food is delicious. Definitely, not for the budget conscious, all kids regardless of age is included in the room headcount though half rate for the full board meals depending on age. Negative number 2, no swimming pool, no TV nor any in-room entertainment at least for the sunrise casita we booked. If you enjoy the place like we did, then not a problem (you can binge-watched Netflix when you get home). Family and beach quality time is "King" in this place. Negative number 3, if you are ordering ala carte (outside the buffet meal), you need to order ahead of time and you have to be extra "patient"....hehehe. Over-all, we had a grand time in this place. We will definitely go back. Tip, get there early, before the check-in time and also after check-out, you can ask if you can use the beach and facilities (bring your own towels to use for yourself). As always, good things happen to those who ask "nicely".

The cabanas are way overpriced! No tv or mini fridge. How is this place a 4 star hotel. We were also charged 2100 pesos for buffet which you’d think it’d be included since the cabanas itself are expensive. Food was MID. Definitely not coming back !

This has been my family’s go-to beach resort for more than 5 years before the pandemic. They changed management during the pandemic, and when we came back after their opening, we missed the old experience we had there. Before, we could bring in fresh squid and fish from the market and grill them there. But now, no food is allowed inside because buffet lunch is included in the entrance fee (tripled from 2019). Lunch was just right, nothing special, some dishes didn’t taste good and is definitely not worth the price increase. The lunch venue has a bit of safety hazard as well because of the raised platforms and steps with no warnings. One lady fell when we were there. Afternoon snacks were also provided but they were packaged individually (lots of packaging waste!) and quality was not good. We miss the old Virgin Beach Resort!

Not just a typical beach resort Batangas. A bit pricey but you will find private beach and good facilities around you. The sand needs more maintenance since dry leaves were everywhere but not a big deal.

If you are used to coarse sand than this beach might be for you. It used to be cleaner a few years back. Heard that the previous owner is mean but accomplishing his goal to make this place nice to the point it was used for awards and movie sets. New management is more relax with staff which is a good thing but quality of the place has certainly deteriorated. Food was so so, nothing to brag about. Beach is nice and clear on a good day. Staff is friendly the standard way nothing special they way you are treated. Would I go back? Nope. Will try other places worth bragging about.

Clear water and clean white sand beach. Cabana is spacious. Buffet inclusion did not have seafoods nor fruit (ironic). Bar and snack station are expensive. They don't accept baon, but chips and cookies may be permitted. Water and ice are available for your consumption; bring your flasks.

We were there today, family of 10. Weather wasn't cooperating but that is nobody can do anything about it. Visually place is ok. But let's talk about people working there. We hired banana boat. Unfortunately boat capsized in the middle of the trip. We ended up in the water. The people employed there lack knowledge on how to prepare for a rescue. It took a while when second boat came and only because they were passing not far from us. Despite some of us not being able to swim, we remained cool. After several minutes in water slowly we ended up on banana boat back and were brought back to shore. Guy who took us to boat , after coming to shore he took the payment and run away. There was no single person from resort coming to us and ask simple question if we were ok. Nothing. They are not interested in wellbeing of customer. If you don't want to die, please do not go there as staff is not competent for any rescue and they don't care on what happen to the people. It's so upsetting.

The place itself is great… But the staff attitude Is something the management should see and upgrade particularly handling costumer upon arrival ( Desk staff)The food on day tour service they can do better for the price you paid which was too expensive… 1,500 per adult, 1000 for kids and 1,500 for cabanas. Just in case you are more than 10 they will ask you to take two cabanas. Wherein you can conveniently stay on one. They can’t even explain why we need two for a group of 6adult and 6kids below 10years old. A total of 17k we paid for all these service.

This place is recommended for team building or simply want to relax. The staff are very kind and organize. The cabana are cool and well ventilated. The common CR is big enough for day tour guests. The booking is easy to access. They also have lost and found section where I was able to retrieve my swimming attires.

NOT COMING BACK! HORRENDOUS SERVICE STAFF HAD NO SENSE OF URGENCY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS How unfortunate the place is beautiful and we went for the day and arrived a little after 1 pm not knowing the "day trip package" came with a full buffet that ended at 2 pm. This could have been avoided if someone answered the mobile no. from their social media platform. So when we arrived they didn't even have the urgency to give us the registration forms or to cater to us knowing we drove all the way from Manila. They were telling us about the cabanas and they had no visual aids until I asked how it looked like. Then whipped out an iPad showing these options. Do they expect us to know how they looked already? πŸ˜…πŸ₯²They need proper training and behavior. Nothing we inquired was answered properly. There were more than 4 staff and no one could give us a straight yes or no. We had to ask for simple things like, where's the bathroom, is there a shower area, what time does it close and if they offered vegetarian meal options and again-- all could've have been answered with proper guidance of the staff knew what they were doing. We found ourselves asking for everything. Again, these questions would have been avoided if they had a standard operating procedure for arriving guests and need more urgency! There was no direction or proper managerial structure. They're like chickens running with no heads. The 1 star is only for the location. Food was proper. No running water in the shower or waterclosets (until we informed them) Guards are proper, F&B staff were friendly. The beach cabanas were nice, decent and quite clean but saw some cigarette butts on the sand and they claim to be a "clean and green beach" whatever that means to them. They gave us plastic spoons and forks for the meal that came with the package. 1. Reservation office and customer service needs major improvement 2. When we arrived, no one had the answer to our questions 3. Poor service and product knowledge 4. No proper welcome greeting and guidance upon arriving By the way, we arrived on a Tuesday and we were the only "day trip" group. I would've understood if it was packed. If they want to improve they should start with proper service staff training. Or have a self check in for day trip to avoid the poorly trained staff.

I love everything about this palace has to offer: Beach, Food & awesome activities such as ATV, Banana Boat & etc… The room well cleaned and ideal space to sleep and has wifi included as well. The Bathroom is clean as well there also shampoo, towel, lotion & other toiletries provided. Everything went well throughout our stay the only downside is that the doorknobs are hard to lock and open it takes a lot of time & patience. But other than that it was a great experience. I would love to return their again. 1 night is not enough. It should be at least 2-3 days you enjoy the whole place.

Our company team builiding enjoyed this relaxing place with a nice view of sea. No swimming pool yet which will be a good additional for their resort. We tried their Bonfire complimentary rate for max of 10 adults with smores, marshmallows, sausage and alcoholic drinks that cost at around 5000 pesos. Other available water activities are snorkeling and kayak. You can book a body massage. They have also cater day tour only.

Overall it is an amazing place to relax and unwind. Rooms are nicely designed and have the local culture inculcated in the design. Very nice, clean and long stretch of beach. Service is top notch and I found the staff to be very attentive and smiling always. They had lot of inclusive food from Philippines, China, Thai which serves palate from all around the world. The food was very tasty. The beach lounge where the buffet is served is nice and spacious and very lit with warm lights which is very relaxing. We had table allocated for meals with our family names which was a nice touch. Few suggestions to the management: Allow different pricing for couples only. Had to pay for 4 pax as a minimum inspite of us only being two. Would be nice to have some music playing around the beach area which creates a nice atmosphere. Since there are no TV in the room, consider placing some small Bluetooth speakers to play some music. Consider to add a small swing outside the casitas as it is relaxing. Will I return? Definitely yes!

Good resort for a day trip from Metro Manila. Booked the cabana and it was quite comfy. Free lunch was okay. Service was good. The price for the cabana and entrance fee is a bit pricey imo.

This is a great place. Pricey but worth it. If you are into a not so crowded Beach then this is the perfect place. Food was excellent! Staff are so friendly. The beach is nice... with white sand and clear waters. Great experience.

We booked a Sunrise Casita which is perfect for a family of 3-4. Room is clean, even the cabinets are free of dust. Except, the bathroom floor sink is draining super slowly. Nonetheless, the place is still one of the best resorts I have visited in Batangas. Courteous and prompt staffs, peaceful place which is ideal for relaxation, clean shore and crystal clear water beach.

Great place to just relax and spend quality with friends, loved ones. Try to stay longer so you can explore further (cave, atv). I enjoyed swimming and feeling the sand under my feet.

Amazing place for our family reunion. Hosted about 55 of us for three days. All different types of water activities. We got a bamboo Casita. Comfortable for a bamboo hut on the beach. They also offer more updated Casita. Only issue was double charges for beers and drinks. We didn't fight it, but it was the principal. We paid cash at the bar, but was also changed on our room tab. For such a big group I know things can get confusing and over looked. O

Best beach in that area. This is the longest beach property in laiya. Friendly staff. The manager of the resort is very friendly and accommodating. They provide bikes to ride within the property. Good experience.

Lovely beach and relatively clean water. Not much life in the sea, virtually no coral. Accommodation is nice, basic but fits with the location. Food is passable but overall is the biggest negative of the venue. Good for a couple of nights but then you may find the lack of things to do become an issue. We also found there seemed more cost add ons than we expected. The room was already quite expensive but they need more for food etc when you check in. Suggest being clear when booking so you know what to expect.

    - Great beach - Simple, neat, and comfortable cabins - Exclusive and quiet resort *** But extra fees were a bit too much, such as the food not being worth the price

We took the day tour option and did not regret it. Booked for 4 adults, 1 kid & 1 infant & 1 toddler at the dining cabana. πŸ‘πŸ½ Beautiful view of the beach πŸ‘πŸ½ Great ambiance πŸ‘πŸ½ Sense of privacy due to the spacing of cabanas πŸ‘πŸ½ Family friendly facilities πŸ‘πŸ½ Efficient and smooth process from booking to exiting πŸ‘πŸ½ Great customer service especially at the front desk and the staff serving food πŸ‘πŸ½ Bonus for electric outlet πŸ‘πŸ½ Drinking water provided πŸ‘πŸ½ Large and spacious toilet area and outside showers πŸ‘ŽπŸ½ Food & drinks can be improved πŸ‘ŽπŸ½ Music was too loud and repetitive. Wouldn't really recommend early house music on repeat. Should be more of a background music instead of increased volume πŸ‘ŽπŸ½ Hopefully, there's a credit card option at the resort not all the way in Makati (based in Batangas, btw) Next time, would like to check in overnight and experience their room πŸ‘πŸ½

The place is nice and peaceful. Perfect place to unwind. Clear water unlike other usual beaches. The sand is quite different as well, very relaxing while beach walking. The shower rooms are clean and looks classic. They also have lockers and mirrors.
