Probably the most "luxurious" resort on the island, but the rooms are very aged (3 of our rooms had broken A/C & 1 room also had problems with plumbing so we had to switch rooms). Breakfast was good though, and they have both Filipino and Western options. I liked the Granola Bowl Probably the resort with the longest coastline but they only have "lifeguards" by the dive shop, which is located at 1 end of the resort. The beach itself was alright and regularly had trash wash ashore that we did an impromptu cleanup Overall, still has a ton of points for improvement. Maybe even competition to wake them up and up their service 🤣

Beautiful resort. Manicured garden paths. Gorgeous location on marine sanctuary with white sandy beach. Multiple well maintained pools. Nicely appointed clean rooms. On site scuba and spa services. Loses a star due to management allowing individual guests to blast their personal music at the pool and pool bar to the annoyance of all other guests, causing them to vacate immediate area and stop using the only swim up bar. Quite the shame.

Absolutely awesome beachfront resort, with fantastic swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking facilities. Really good restaurants, pool bars, and dinner & dance event evenings. Very good & comfortable rooms. Efficient & friendly resort staff. Also providing motorcycle rentals at really excellent rates

We stayed few nights there for our honeymoon trip. All staff was really incredible and warm full. The place is just amazing, near to nature with lots of tree and tropical flowers. The real treasure is the beach : perfectly sun oriented with white sand and a marine reserve full of fish and turtles. A heavenly place which we schedule to come back for sure !! Thank you so much for everything 🤍😘

Nice resort, nice food. But not very healthy. So much oil in many dishes! Also the resort introduced an annoying rule: Before entering in the restaurant, you need to register, give your name and names of all people accompanying you, with your phone number. I suppose they are "mining information" on you. Last time I saw this rule,it was in an old fashioned state owned restaurant in China (30 years ago). Sorry but this is a rigid unpleasant rule, invading my privacy. If they want to check whether there are tables free, they can simply inform the reception desk!

5 stars doesn't seem like a high enough rating for this place. The staff were absolutely wonderful and helped book our trip to Siquijor from Cebu. The resort itself was fabulous and had access to a beach, hammocks and dining near the water. Breakfast in the morning was amazing and offered plenty of choices. The food for dinner was always amazing and the drinks were great. They offered motorbike rentals at the resort which made it super easy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to explore Siquijor and be able to relax comfortably.

Beautiful location and good quality rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Beach is great and the home reef is stunning. Recommend snorkeling or diving in the marine reserve or any of the other locations around the island.

Amazing resort. Have their own swimmingpools and is located near the beach, we're you can catch a beautiful sunset. The rooms are quite nice, with friendly housekeeping. It does say on their website that every standard room have their own veranda, that is not true... The food is what you can expect in such place. But they have some special menus, valentines day and a BBQ dinner. That's something else from their everyday menu, with local foods and a great atmosphere to it. However the waiters are sometimes a little slow to notice you, but always serves with a smile. There can be some waiting time on the food. Otherwise great place 👌🏻

Incredible experience. Breakfast overlooking the calm waters was the sure best way to start the day. World-class marine sanctuary directly in front of the resort. Snorkel with the clown and trumpet fish only meters from the shore.

One of my best experience during my one month vacation in the Philippines was staying in this resort. Everything was superb! All the staffs did a great job assisting us from the front desks, dining, the spa(couples body scrub and massage), water activities(scuba diving and snorkelling). The best part was staying in the presidential suite during our second night. We got the best view and we got to watched the sunset while in the jacuzzi with our favourite cocktail drinks and music. It was truly an amazing and exceptional experience and will definitely recommend this place to everyone. I am looking forward to go back on my next vacation.

Very nice location, the resort is huge 👌 very green, I really loved, all the pools very nice located, 2 of them with sea view, it was a pleasure to chill on the beach. The coral reef is amazing plenty colourful 🐟. All the stuff is amazing and very helpful. We attended to a night show for 800 php/pp buffet bar a lots of choices but the drinks at extra. The show was very nice, I recommend 👌. I would like to add some negative feedback. Coco Grove seems like one of the best hotels, when I said couple of times the mane of my accommodation, the reaction is Ohhh you are rich. Actually is quiet costly the resort have a lots to offer but is too old, extremely old hotel. I know is rustic, traditional style. Very good but the resort is requesting some updates to everything. The room, the beds are at least 15 -20 years old, armchairs, bathroom same, curtains same. Everything needs updates, no exception. The hotel is very old. Quality vs price is not really worth it 😕 The beach is amazing very wide very long also the coral reef is amazing 👏 but I'm pretty sure some maintenance, cleaning the beach weekly will not chill nobody. Very dirty beach such a big shame for so nice place 😕 😪. Is private beach so the resort management should care a bit more for such a nice beauty

I believe this resort is owned by an Australian consortium. You can see that there is an Aussie influence in the way the beach is maintained and how clean the close environment is. That is where the good stuff ends. Some of the staff (not all) are uninterested in fixing problems like blocked toilets and are rude. The internet is atrocious. I know people are on holidays and so what but when you are attempting to contact business this is very important. The resort claims to have a drone free policy, during my stay I resorted to throwing rocks at the drones that buzzed my wife and I while on the beach. This resort has so much potential if the rooms and staff could add a little polish. You will see reviews that are glowing of this resort and yes the Beach and surrounds deserve it but the rooms and staff will constantly pull the quality of the premises down. Yes I'm an Aussie and yes I'm a hard marker but this could and should be the best resort in the Philippines at its price point. Come on Mark.

Pros: - Ideally located with its own beach on a marine sanctuary; - ample pools for people to enjoy; - select staffers are very attentive: Rogelio, Karen and Joey from Salamandas and the bar Cons: - property is ill-maintained. There are only 2 people cleaning the grounds of debris; - rooms are cleaned only after 2pm. Looks like there are only 3 people cleaning so they're not very thorough in cleaning such a volume of rooms; - common areas are not cleaned property. There are lots of mosquitos in the lobby waiting area and tables are sticky; - toiletries are on par with 2-star hotels; - food is not good. Small portions, not tasty enough. Recos: Please hire a Chef. The staff can be better managed by making them more detailed and concerned about cleanliness. Review staffing. Provide better toiletries by partnering with social enterprises that offer good value, organic cleaning hygiene products.

Enjoyed our stay here. A bit pricey compared to other nearby accommodations, but it was well worth the price. Hotel grounds and the beach were really nice. You could spend the day just lounging at the beachfront. It was complete paradise! Would love to go back.

Absolutely amazing.... A++ Can't say enough nice things about this place, the staff were all very friendly and went above and beyond to help out. They also had complimentary pick up and drop off from the ferry. Will definitely come back and be recommending this resort to anyone heading to siquijor.

Amazing! Beautiful hotel, great snorkeling/diving and the best staff imaginable. Very peaceful and relaxing. In room mini bar is well stocked and refilled daily, reasonable prices. Free spring water as well. Staff person Merlyn is incredible. She is so sweet and funny, she really goes out of her way to provide great customer service. 5 stars.

Very nice resort, but not on the best location. There are very strong wind and many sudden rain here, the beach is not very inviting, the staff is very nice, there are not much to do here with two kids except from the pool, the life gurads are not constantly attending even when they should ! There is a kids playing area but it is very limited, the food here is good, in the evening there is a singer in the costal restaurant.

Coc Grove is someplace to fall in love with. Mostly for its staff, partly it's food and partly it's beauty. It was our 3rd visit, each time we stay longer. My only suggestions would be to keep the stray dogs n cats out, and diversify the menu. Go on the excursions, they're wonderful. Oh and please when serving a party it's meals, bring all their meals out at the same time. Plan the cooking of them so that are ready at the same time. But that advice goes nation wide for the Philippines.

I was staying here in last January 2023. It was such a great experience with good service, friendly hospitality, delicious food, and all the facilities. The beach was also stunning. However, the air conditioner in my room wasn't good enough. Maybe because it was error. I don't know

An amazing resort for a reasonable prices. The beach is fantastic, the food is amazing, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The dive shop is first class, and the diving is world class. I had to recommend this place, especially for divers.

Probably the easiest 5* review I've ever had to make, the staff are so friendly and made our 8 nights here amazing. There are reviews saying it is expensive, yet if it was in the Carribbean it would quite literally be 10x more expensive so I'm not sure what people expect to pay for such a lush resort. We did an open water scuba course through the on site dive shop with thanks to our great teacher Gabril. We did tours to Apo to see lots of turtles, we did an island tour visiting waterfalls and caves. And all of this was provided seamlessly by the resort. We would like to thank every single member of staff personally but don't have the room to do so. Here's to a few: thanks Jeje, Nova, Mars, Jakey, Gabril and so many others.

Haven't tried to stay overnight in the resort yet, we just walked in to have our brunch in their Resto, Salamandas. Food was superb!! And the view, the resort itself is totally great! Friendly staffs and I especially love their Instagrammable pathway heading to the restaurant. And the beach!! The best!! We have made our reservation, and will surely go back to this paradise on Dec, for a 2 nights stay!!! 🤩🤩

We very much enjoyed our 4 night stay at Coco Grove resort. We had a standard room which was a semi-bungalow set back from the front in the gardens. It was prefect for us, nice and quiet and a little secluded. We ate lunch several times and used the pool bar and beach bar here and there. We were generally happy with what we ate and drank for the price we paid. We made good use of the spa for massages and really enjoyed the facilities set in nice air conditioned rooms. The resort was perhaps a little quieter than we expected (end of November beginning of December) but it was well timed for us for relaxation after 3 flights 5 transfers and a boat to get here. I thought the service was very good here, as it was in the four locations we stayed in the Philippines. The only small negatives were the hotel has a fairly rustic feel here and there and maybe could do with a little TLC. Also we thought the charge for using the beach (100 per day) right in front of the hotel should have been better communicated. While I am all for preserving the special places we have on the planet 100 for dipping your toe in the water seemed a little excessive and a form of additional tourist tax which appears to have risen from 20 last year so quite a hike. All in all a nice stay for us thank you.

We only spent a few days at Coco Grove Beach Resort, but it was superb. The staff is perfect led by JeJe. From the transport, the pool bar team, the cleaners, the waitresses in the restaurant, everything was great. Wherever you turned, the staff welcomed you with a smile. Everyone in the hotel tried to make us feel better than at home. The wife celebrated her birthday and they gave her an unforgettable celebration. I hope we will come back to you again. Keep up the good work.

My sisters and I stayed here and it was wonderful. The resort itself has so much to offer beach, water activities, pool, game room, island tours and our favorite was the spa. The staff were excellent, very attentive, thoughtful and really made us feel special. We couldn't give them enough credit. Food was gastronomic.

My sister got married jere in August. Personnel were all friendly, the rooms although some are dated, are all accommodating. The rest pf the hotel is just paradise. Coco Grove made Siquijor what it is today. Just amazing overall.

overall, this is one of our favorite places in in the Philippines. The night sky is filled with stars. The small resort offers every little amenity you can imagine and is beautifully managed. it’s easy work with their staff and they’re very thoughtful and kind. This is a more expensive place compared to other options but it’s probably the best on Siquijor. You can walk to dive shops, next-door, and go, snorkeling and scuba diving, you can arrange local tours. Like to just chill out in the resort and read and rest. we were here for the weekly Thursday fire dancing in Drumline.

A small group of us went for dinner and only the beachside restaurant was open. The view was spectacular however the menu was limited, probably due to covid. There was your standard fair of pizza and burgers which were okay. No fresh seafood on the menu even though the island is known for fishing. Service was very good but it was fairly expensive.

The place is huge! so many areas you can hang out and have your own privacy with nature. The food is great! The staff are very accommodating. The water at the beach is not so great for swimming since its a bit rocky, but the sunset view is gorgeous!

Very nice, cozy and familiar beach resort. Even though they are recently open again after COVID closure it was hard to find any faults in our short stay. Staff is very friendly and forthcoming. Their spa is most definitely also worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place with friendly and attentive staff. Food was decent. There is lots to see in the house reef and the water is very clear but it is a bit full of trash. They say you can sometimes see turtles but we didn’t see any until we went to Apo Island (which the hotel arranged). They were also very helpful with organizing the ferry tickets (which would have been a huge pain otherwise). Spa was lovely too. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed 16April. Very nice resort - big enough to enjoy wondering the gardens/grounds. Great snorkelling. Good breakfast and dinner. If you ask in advance, they will reserve you a table on the beach, under a canopy. Somewhat private.

You'll be sorry you left Siquijor without seeing this treasure. This resort is highly recommended. We went here, following our visit to Cambugahay Falls. We ordered lunch here in advance, and when we got there, we were stunned by the resort's cozy vibe. We had the impression that we didn't want to leave because of how peaceful and relaxing it was. And indeed, that is what took place. We canceled our next destination and ended up chilling and relaxing at their resort. There are many reasons to love this place, including the sound and breeze of the ocean, and the incredibly great food, especially their pizza. Their staff and management are all friendly and welcoming. This resort is perfect; it has no flaws. Even if there is, it cannot compare to the happy and relaxed feeling of this place.

Didn’t stay as guests but wanted to have breakfast at the hotel as it looked lovely. We kept being told by staff it was fine to pay for breakfast but we weren’t allowed to use any other facilities they were for guests only. We didn’t want to use them so it was annoying when we kept being told it. Ended up leaving and not eating there as we were made to feel quite unwanted

  • 5/5 Christina L. 1 year ago on Google
I can highly recommend that place. It is not only a very beautiful resort but the main reason why it deserves 5 stars of more is: the staff. They made is feel welcome and as we went there with our 1 year old daughter who they entertained and made fun with her we almost did not want to leave. So thank you ate Joey and more for being so nice. Dear coco, keep your staff where it is.

Amazing resort, Amazing grounds, gardens, pools and beaches. You never need to leave this resort. Restaurant is delicious, views are fantastic. The villas by the beach were amazing. Lost a point for No kids pool. The swim up bar is a great way to have a drink and stay cool on a hot day

Amazing resort, all the staff is so friendly and kind, the room was amazing and we enjoyed every second here at Coco Grove Beach Resort. The food at their restaurant is delicious, the breakfast was very good too and the spa is so nice and i had the best hot stones massage ever. The resort is beautiful!! Highly recommended!

I'm giving an extra star only for the property... Its gorgeous... We stayed in a standard room. But was super disappointed by the quit they gave us. It was hard, and so uncomfortable... Had a bad sleep for 2 nights. Also the room was cleaned without our permission which made us feel unsafe about many things. Invading anyone's privacy is not okay. The food is super average and the cocktails are so disappointing. The place is beautiful though.

My second time staying at the beautiful, serene and relaxing Coco Grove. There is just something about this place that brings a natural feeling of relaxation. I will be honest, we experienced an issue the first night. The housekeeping staff and the front desk staff were extremely responsive and even agreed wholeheartedly when I asked to reassign us to another room. I hadn’t been here in 9 years and the resort has made significant upgrades. While most everything here screams luxury I think my favorite part is the lush landscape and plant life! It’s beautiful and very picturesque. Our room was comfortable and of course as everyone else states what also sets Coco Grove apart is the extreme friendliness of all the staff. It is impossible to pass by anyone without being greeted a good morning, good afternoon or good evening. Special shoutout to resort manager Miss Joy for taking care of us, checking in, and making compensation for the issue we experienced. She not only apologized but took the time to tell us how she and the staff will be addressing it which is not required, but appreciated. Additional shout outs to Rachel and Reymar at the pool bar who exceeded the expectations in every way! I can hardly wait for next time!

Third time to visit in 5 years, first by myself, second with friends and this time with my partner. Good breakfast, family friendly, kid friendly. Great value for the price. We were well looked after. Dinner here is a great option— overlooking the beach! Room is basic and clean, and is aligned with the price. The protected reserve is right in front of the resort. Snorkeling in the morning is just a total joy. The water is 26 degrees. I miss it already! There are tricycles outside if you wish to venture out for an island tour or a dinner in one of the bistros. My fave is Dagsa. Thanks Team!

Great big hotel on a beautiful beach with multiple swimming pools. But it doesn’t feel big at all. Our favourite stay in the Philippines. Gym needs an update though.
