Very mediocre, as a father of two guinea pigs, I like to bring them here to walk freely on the grass. That is it, the park has nice small (area) grass. No bathroom, or water fountain so do not expect to chill/relax at this park for longer than 20 minutes. The creek has homeless people squatting under the bridge.

Small grass Park , benches by the creek, next to the police station. No play ground. Small lawn areas the community do have flower garden which is beautiful to see. The creek brings homeless under the bridge. So many garbages scattered in Mother nature. It's good for a quick rest for the walks or quick bites. No public restrooms or drinking fountain

The park is decent. I took my 2 yr old son here and he seemed to like it the only issue was that the park was small and near the road so i had to really keep my eye on him. There is an area below where you can see water and lots of greenery but it has many homeless people underneath. This is a great place to take a break in for lunch or pass by for a short period of time but not for families. There are little stores like safeway, mcdonalds, dominoes & nations etc

Would be a nice park to picnic or relax, but it is now overrun. Last time I was by. A homeless man was peeing on the wall and a couple of people using drugs in broad day light. It's sad to see, and nothing is done to clean it up

I have several photos that I will add. I met an adorable couple who had be married 62 years sitting at one of the park benches. Take a little adventure down to the creek. You will find a beautiful mural.

It is a small park overlooking a creek and also next to a police station on East 14th Street. Has a few benches and not much else in regards to amenities.

Lived San Leandro since 1975. Root Park has always been our neighborhood favorite to sit next to the Redwood trees & fondly remember Humboldt County & the Redwood Forest.

I had a wonderful time there today with my 2-1/2 year old grandtwins. They were busy the whole time on the sturdy adventurous equipment!

A small, beautiful park. Lots of shade and a couple tables.
