I
came
to
this
place
on
a
Friday
evening
looking
for
something
hearty
and
homie.
I've
been
on
the
road
for
about
a
week,
and
just
wanted
a
family
kind
of
meal.
Petra
hit
the
spot.
There
was
a
line
when
I
arrived,
and
it
was
hard
to
find
parking.
That's
definitely
the
downside
of
this
location
It
is
street
parking
pretty
much
and
that
can
be
hit
and
miss.
They
have
a
kiosk
for
self-ordering
but
it
didn't
have
all
the
choices
that
the
menu
has
on
the
board.
So
halfway
through
my
order
I
had
to
discontinue
and
get
back
in
line.
That
was
quite
discouraging.
I
jumped
back
in
line
did
my
order,
and
found
a
seat.
There
is
nothing
particularly
incredible
about
the
decor
of
the
restaurant,
but
had
a
nice
outside
dining
deck.
Food
came
quickly,
and
I
was
quite
surprised
by
the
volume.
They
also
added
a
very
nice
fresh
pita
bread
to
the
mix.
That
was
a
good
touch.
First
bite,
good
but
not
incredible.
Second
bite
was
a
piece
of
pita
and
a
dip
in
the
hummus.
The
hummus
was
a
little
bland
I'd
say,
but
I
love
all
kinds
of
hummus
so
I
kept
eating.
Third
bite
was
salad
and
meat.
I
did
the
split
tray
where
I
had
partial
meat
and
partial
grilled
vegetables.
The
grilled
vegetables
are
absolutely
dynamite.
The
meat
was
good.
The
hummus
remained
underwhelming.
I've
definitely
had
better
hummus.
In
fact
I
would
call
a
trader
Joe's
hummus
much
better.
At
any
rate
I
kept
diving
in
and
finished
the
whole
plate.
Really
nothing
to
complain
about
except
maybe
the
hummus
and
pita.
The
pita
was
definitely
fresh,
but
also
was
a
little
bit
bland.
Maybe
that's
just
something
I'm
not
used
to.
Overall
the
experience
was
positive.
It's
a
great
little
spot
in
downtown
San
Luis
Obispo.
So
I
always
ask
myself
would
I
go
back?
The
answer
is
yes.
Would
I
try
something
else.
The
answer
is
also
yes.
They
have
a
pretty
hearty
menu
so
I
would
like
to
try
some
other
items.
I
would
love
them
to
spruce
up
the
hummus
somehow.
But
again,
overall
it
was
a
great
meal.
Thanks
for
being
kind
hostesses.
I'll
try
to
come
back.
