Madonna Inn and the Copper Cafe were the highlight of our 10 day trip on PCH! We were initially sad we were not going to be passing through for dinner, but were glad to find a lunch option. Our server was so personable and the service was exceptional. The portions were huge and the food was amazing, especially the cake! Everything was very reasonably priced as well. We were encouraged to explore after which was our favorite part. The details are amazing throughout the Inn and we even made a stop in the gift shop! Please stop at this very unique destination! We can't wait to come back and book a stay.

We had a great time at the Copper Cafe celebrating my friends 35th birthday! The food was amazing, biscuits came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The best part of all was our server, Tomas -- he was so kind and accommodating and simply radiates positive energy. The Madonna Inn Copper Cafe is visually stunning but the real gems lie in the fantastic team members they have working to keep the operation running. Thank you Tomas!

Great stop along the way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. It's a beautiful inn with a delicious cafe. I would absolutely recommend stopping for a meal. They also have a decadent selection of cakes. Oddly, they're known for very well-themed rooms and that extends to a famous restroom they have; ask the staff where it's located. Ordered a roast beef dip sandwich with au jus and also a chocolate cake slice. Also ordered a pink champagne cake slice as well for the road. All of these cake slices are best shared with a group of at least 4. It's quite a hefty cake slice with a beautiful presentation and a taste to match.

This is one of the best experiences weve had from the service, food and decor both in the restaurant and walking through the fabulous lobby, gift shops and wine celler. Took our son from Arizona to breakfast as a treat we have all wanted to experience and it was an awesome one. Coming back and booking themed rooms for our family.🥰

Great pink/gold seating and decor. So whimsical and retro. The breakfast was yummy - and there were PINK sugar shakers on the table! - but the real showstopper is the cakes & cookies. OMG seriously. The pink champagne cake is world famous for a reason. You get a HUGE slice that is delicious and looks so pretty. We made a reservation for breakfast, and so we were seated right away. They do take walk ups, but I'd imagine it may get busy during certain hours, so making a reservation is always a safe beat. And you can just stop in for some cookies/cake/pies/bakery items to-go as well. Highly recommend!

Great place to stop for a quick bite driving between Los Angeles & San Francisco. Beautifully designed Hotel with its predominant Pink colour scheme. The Copper Cafe and Bakery was just as fascinating as the rest of the Inn. Lovely courteous service and great cup of coffee. Was highly intrigued by the pink sugar. They are famous for their desserts, specially cakes. The grill cheese sandwich we ordered was tasty and the fries crisp. Would definitely recommend all to visit this once.

No reason for me to give a less-star review. We went there over the Memorial Day weekend and they were super busy. Luckily we got seated at the bar without having to wait for half an hour. Obviously every server was overwhelmed and rushed, but they were doing their best. Food tastes great and portion is huge. We had to ask for to go box. We had breakfast and did not have the opportunity to try dinner this time. I'm an espresso person but in terms of brewed coffee, their coffee is great!

This place was everything we expected it to be. Great food in a ridiculously elaborate setting. Our server had a great personality with lots of little quips. Our food came out in a timely manner and tasted great! We even splurged and tried the giant banana split! Highly recommended restaurant! Be sure to check out the different shops upstairs and the wine cellar downstairs.

We were sat in a booth and it took you back in time with the retro decor. Staff was very friendly. It can get a little cramp in some areas of the restaurant. Food was okay, but I was there for the cake and it was delicious. Slice was huge, cake was moist and butter cream was good.

Beautiful cakes and decorations, especially at Christmas (see photos)! We use their cakes for every occasion. My sister even used these cakes as her wedding cake and they were a delicious, beautiful, and reasonably priced alternative!

This place has the best cakes I’ve ever had. every single time I pass by arrive in this direction I have to stop by. Stop by as early as possible because they sell out especially of the toffee crunch cake. I have gone back on several occasions looking for it and it has been sold out. However, all of their cakes are really good and the quality is unbelievable that atmosphere is also great and the staff is always amazing

I made a reservation 1 week in advance. I was able to adjust the quantity of people twice. I ordered the cake, [Famous Pink Champagne flavor], and they were able to serve it for our desert. The drinks were wonderful and the food was delicious. Luckily, the day we reserved, there was a love group. We were celebrating my niece's sweet 16, and the group played a special song so she could dance with her father. They night went so smooth, it was so memorable that I couldn't have asked for the night to be better. The service was wonderful, and the ambiance so fitting for the occasion even though it was a regular night for them. Thank you, Madonna Inn.

Ok this placed was recommended by like everyone who lived in slo or went to a school there. So obvs had to try the spot. And yeah gotta say this was worth it. Had just the cake and hot chocolate for the drive in movie. The staff is super friendly, the portions are huge af, and it’s a total vibeeee. Noticed that the staff wore all bright pink shirts so that kinda explained why everyone was female. If you’re in town and have to me for something sweet, this is the spot!!

The service and food was amazing. First time here at the Cafe and I'm glad we stopped. It was definitely a vibe there, not like anything I'd seen before.

Had Black Forest paired with a glass of Syrah wine, I could notice the difference between the white and brown creams on the cake, super tasty! The portion is generous and enough for two. Great service, our orders came out super fast, also ask to be seated by the fire. I’ll come back for sure!

This place has a history that's worth checking out. If you like the color pink, you will be in heaven here. Try the pink cake, don't worry because it's light and not overbearing. They used a whipped cream frosting, so my wife and I were able to eat it and not feel guilty about it. We enjoyed our breakfast here.

I'm pretty sure this was the worst breakfast I have ever had. The hash browns were barely cooked and tasted like pancake batter, the sausage was over cooked and the eggs were mediocre. The waiter looked like he was being tortured and service was slow. We didn't get a smile until it was time to leave a tip. I left a good tip anyway, well because you never know what the staff went through before you. I loved the candy land decor for Christmas and the gift shop was cute. Pricey, but cute. I've eaten at the Copper Cafe 5 times (I keep trying to like it) and it is always horrible! I won't be back for a 6th time.

The service was a little slow, but otherwise excellent and friendly. It wasn't too slow, but given that it was only half full it could have been faster. Still, we all enjoyed ourselves. I had the multigrain pancakes, and they were excellent! I'll warn you, they're huge, but that just means I had plenty to take home for later. They don't give you anywhere near enough syrup, but it was enough for the small amount I can eat in one sitting. The hash browns were alright, not great but not horrible. The biscuits were tender and delicious. Their ham steak is wonderful! I only got pictures of my own food, but everyone enjoyed what we had. The atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous! Good quality for the price. I'm definitely going to have to try them for dinner sometime.

Valentine's day is not the day to go here. It happens to be our anniversary and we had reservations for 6:30. Marked as an anniversary meal under special requests. We were seated immediately and ordered pretty quickly. I opted for the ravioli in Alfredo sauce. Horrible decision! It was so loaded with salt it was inedible. I was going to force a few bites down and not have them make something else but it was impossible. So I just ordered the quickest replacement I could think of, two eggs over easy with bacon, so that my boyfriend's food didn't get cold. It didn't work that way. We waited over 25 more minutes for my two eggs to get to our table while his meal got cold. When I did receive my food it was also cold!!! Congealed broken eggs stuck to the limp cool bacon that punctured the yolk long before I got it and soggy room temperature hash browns. At least the dinner salad I had was fresh. I don't even know what to say about this experience other than it was a horrible disappointment but at least the company and ambience was noteworthy. We mentioned to our hostess and the our beverage server that it was our anniversary, but no one mentioned it or even asked us if we wanted any desert at all Wich was odd. Hands down the worst experience I have ever had here. And this WAS our go to for birthdays and special events, but no longer.

Great place to stop and have a look around the venue as it’s very quirky and unique. Cafe can be really busy so best to make a reservation or be prepared to wait a little for a table (we were a group of six). Service was a bit lacklustre but the girl at the door could just have had a bad day. Portion sizes are big (definitely from a European standpoint) and food is okay. Definitely worth it for the cake experience and I’d also recommend to have a look around the gift shop.

First time visitor for breakfast while visiting daughter. Made a reservation. Server Sierra was great; friendly, attentive and quick. Luz was also great, friendly and funny. He kept my coffee filled. I will definitely be back

Spent a day at the hotel and came in for breakfast. The cornbeef hash was recommended by our waitress and did not disappoint. It was delicious and very filling. The hand made breakfast biscuits were also so good. The restaurant itself is very unique and beautiful. Make sure to get some pastries on the way out. Excellent dining experience.
